Edit: what day are we on?

Naermen ran through all of the investitures she had used thus far.

'Stormlight, Allomancy, Epic...'

She stopped, then smiled. She ran up so the suit was several meters in front of her, then unleashed her Aether, sending a ball of swirling green vines in the suit's direction.

When conflicting Aethers do battle, the stronger Aether wins. We have two.

Lines were burned into the hammer as the Aethers conflicted. Kane pushed, attempting to overpower Naermen. He withdrew and swung the hammer, attempting to throw Naermen aside.

Neither do I. I kind of think we're just ignoring that idea now, just beating monsters (and each other) up.

KoTiel threw away the monster they had been fighting with, and started healing their wounds, when a giant four armed being with axes came running at them. Worried, they started preparing to fight it, but they weren't sure what to do, because of the thing's size. However, while looking at it, they saw that it spikes jutting out of it, and it didn't look like it was coming to attack them. "Another hemalurgic creation," KoTiel thought. "and one that was originally human too, poor thing." They decided to stand back, and see what it would do.

Note: six arms, not four.

The sound of bolter fire and unholy shrieks died away, the daemons having been driven off by the combined efforts of KoTiel and the space marines. What was left of the battle squad set about repairing the makeshift barricade and clearing the street of rubble.

The chaplain from earlier strode toward Titan, her armor covered in daemon ichor and blood.

"We're happy to have you," she said, reaching out and shaking one of Titan's hands. "I'm Sister-Chaplain Augusta. What in the Emperor's name are you, anyway?"

Or I'm just too lazy to drag up the description. Either one.

BACK AT THE CANTON

A space marine in blue armor stopped in the middle of the hallway, noticing Max and Mara huddled in a corner.

"Kids?" he said, sounding, for some reason, extremely nervous. "What on Earth are you doing here?"

Quote

The kids are now at Devaan’s Training Ground. Devaan teleported them there to keep them safe. They’re not doing much right now, though, so if your marine guy really wants to talk to them for some reason you’ll find them at the training ground.

Naermen swayed back, feeling the rush of air above her as the hammer missed her by mere inches. This time, she did growl, because she was slightly annoyed and, as mentioned above, due to the malfunctioning of her prefrontal cortex, she was not able to stifle this ancient urge to make an angry noise in the face of frustration.

She took a stick of chalk out of her pocket (she was not wearing Nei'an's coat, and thus did not share in its beneficial pouches) and drew a straight line across her forearm sleeve, creating a mobile Line of Forbiddance. She started with the line facing directly up, then tilted in a way so the invisible wall smashed into the top of the suit.

With her other hand, she pulled out one of Nei'an's Patji bombs and growled yet again.

Augusta laughed grimly, and for a second she met Titan's gaze, staring right back into his eyes.

A lifetime of war reflected back at Titan from the black lenses. Planets burned, armies were slaughtered, and demons from the Warp tore and ripped their way through reality. An entire galaxy of carnage and war, echoing with the laughter of thirsting gods.

"I highly doubt that," she said.

And then the moment was gone, and the chaplain took a step back, drawing a small device from a pouch. She reverently placed it on the ground, muttering prayers and fiddling with the controls, and a holographic representation of the city sprung up in the air.

The device sparked, then violently exploded, leaving the ground scorched black. Wisps of smoke trailed through the air above the remains of the machine.

Space marines are around 7-8 feet tall. I just assumed that was big enough to match Titan in height.

Interesting attack. It will be considerably easier to break than one drawn on the ground though, as the sleeve isn't a flat surface. If we're lucky, it might even fail as the cloth of the sleeve twists in different directions when the arm moves. As such, I'll try Big Bad Wolfing it. (This might be stretching the limits of human half-koloss capabilities, but he's aiming to move the sleeve about, not the invisible wall. With compounding and close range, it might work.)

Mace compounded pewter and cadmium. He then blew in the direction of the Line of Forbiddance. He felt his lungs stretching, increasing in power. Breath after breath left him, blowing outwards. He watched as the wind he created tousled Kane's hair, headed in the direction of Naermen's sleeve. Moments later, when the weakened wall smashed down on them, he merely headbutted it, gritting his teeth as he felt a flare of pain.

Enraged, Mace Pulled on the loose metal behind Naermen. Discarded chunks of armor, broken swords, and dropped coins began to fly at him. Just in case his foe successfully dodged, Mace thickened the amberite on the front of the battle suit. So, this is what being a magnet feels like, Mace thought as he helped Kane swing the warhammer.

Tena had followed Mace (the most fun things always happened in his wake). She was out of the way of the flying chunks-o-stuff that Mace was Pulling towards himself, and was also Pushing with her powers in order to send stuff flying Naermen's way. She was pretty sure that she and Mace were fighting him, though it was difficult to tell what with all the chaos going on around her.

When the storm of Pushed and Pulled metal subsided, Tena formed her spren into a Shardstaff in her hand and knocked Naermen over the head with it. He collapsed, unconscious. "Well, that was easier than I though it would be," Tena said aloud, partially to Mace, who she was sure would be mad at her for some reason. She crouched next to Naermen and checked her for Metalminds, removing those she found. And she wasn't stupid, Naermen may have stuff inside of him, so she Compounded steel and Pushed anything Naermen had out of her via her mouth. Well, her foe couldn't use Allomancy or Feruchemy now, even if she woke up.

Whatcha thinking, Archer?

The Ghostbloods and TUBA are on the same side, so why are Kane and Naermen fighting?

Bit of godmodding going on there, also how were you going to push metals that are inside someones body?

As far as I know, compounding doesn't work for that, you need boosted allomantic power through nicrosil tapping, duralumin burning or someone nicrobursting you. Compounding would just make you move at ridiculous speeds.

Also, I think the godmodding part was about knocking Kane unconscious without giving him a change to respond to it.

"Storm. the hemalurgic outbreak needs to be stopped. Would you be willing to make a peace agreement with he black crusade?" Devaan asked, placing a paper in front of Storm

"Sign this and leave it at my canton" Devaan took off down the street and found Solace, surrounded by troops who's eye's glowed purple.

Storm looked down at the piece of paper before him. Swing buzzed on his shoulder. How could he make peace with the traitor?

By signing this document you agree to make peace amongst the Black Crusade and TUBA for the betterment of the Alleyverse, to protect civilians, and to quell the outbreak of Hemalurgic monstrosities.

For the betterment of the Alleyverse..

_ _ _

Storm left the document where Devaan had said. But it was not signed. instead it had a note attached to it, reading:

Devaan,

I am sorry. I cannot sign this. I do not have the strength.. But I will agree to end the conflict among us temporarily, in order to save the Alleyverse. I will work with them for now. I will Honor Rashan's final wish. By Harmony, I will..

~Storm

_ _ _

Storm walked towards the fighting. Remembering his Oaths, his truths.

Life before death, strength before weakness, journey before destination.

I am a coward, I save myself at the peril of others...

I do not know who I am, I wear one thousand faces...

He wouldn't be a coward this time.. He would help, somehow...

He would find himself. He would wear his true face. He would take a step towards that.

He saw Kane and Mace fighting up ahead, in an Amberite suit, hammer striking down abominations.

He ran towards them, speaking as he ran;

"I have hidden behind a fake name, but truly, I, Am, Deveraux."

For a moment, he was in another time, another world.

_ _ _

"Devvy, com here!" Anna shouted gleefully, "Look at what I got you!"

Deveraux smiled at his younger sister, following her up to her room.

She rummaged in a drawer, pulled something out and hid it behind her back, grinning.

"What is it Anna?" He asked her, crouching down so he was eye level with her.

She waved it out with a flourish, "Tada!" she exclaimed showing a ring with The words "To Devvy from Anna" carved into it crudely.

"And its made of tin, so you can use it for your magic!" she said, grinning even more broadly.

"I love it Anna, thank you storm said, taking the ring from her and giving her a hug.

_ _ _

Just a day after that, his house burned down, killing everyone but him.

Storm looked down at a tinmind on his pinky finger, the same ring his little sister had given him, nine years ago.

Tears fell from his face. Why did he think of that now?

Swing buzzed from his shoulder again, "This is a powerful truth."

Realizing what he had just done, Storm summoned his Shardplate. Armor fitting him exactly, locked together perfectly. He summoned Swing as a blade and leaped to assist Mace and Kane, bringing his blade down on one of the Hemalurgic monsters. "Want some help? Storm called to the two, in their dual person Amberite armor.

Quote

Speaking of their armor, they're both inside of the same Amberite armor if I remember correctly @AxeliustheGreat so It seems like it would be difficult to just tackle Kane..

Naermen could feel the blow, feel the pain that accompanied it, feel the foreign investiture ripping away her nerves. She collapsed, barely feeling the pushing on her face.

She was blacking out. Only the mist kept her awake.

That, along with the pain fabrial that she kept on her person 24/7. It took away an insignificant amount, but it helped to know she was being guarded.

She was angry, a bit of her felt angry. She was the only person in the entire cosmere who felt her pain. Nobody would understand her.

Except for him. He would. But he was not here to comfort her.

She was alone.

Then the thought came. Like an injured cat, it slinked into her conscious mind from her subconscious. A tool she has always had but always neglected.

She could use it now.

Slowly, but surely, she brought her hand to her pocket and removed one of her items. She didn't register the shout of the one who had knocked her out or the rumbling of the suit beyond them. She was alone, in a place so flat she couldn't see it's end. Only herself and the item.

A foreign hand tried to wrestle the object from her hand, while another foreign force used some form of investiture on her. She couldn't feel it. She was about to sleep.

Then, she pressed the Bestower's Len's to her face and sent everything she was feeling at that moment to her unsuspecting attacker. Her mind cleared.

And another body crumpled to the ground beside her. Naermen didn't know the body's condition; her task was at stopping the suit.

She paused, uncertain of what to do. Then she smiled.

And smashed the Patji bomb that had been in her hand into her own head. Ants crawled down her face. She turned to the suit, gasping once the pain she had given away came back to her, but in a suppressed form than before.

She had a plan.

The ants bit.

Death flowed through her veins.

She was going to die.

The body that had fallen started to rise.

She was starting to fall.

And Naermen gave all of it, the venom, the sensation, and the terror to the suit and anyone inside.

Mio returned to her side after a short while telling her a number, that was more than she had fingers. A lot more. With a sigh she turned to him, looking at Tevarah's troops and the refugees they had collected on their way here.
"All right."
she started, then stopped to think about what she was going to say.
"Tell some of them to escort the civilians to the Canton of Combat. And I think they should stay there. I feel like they can be lucky if most of them arrive there living, so yes, they should stay there."
Mio's face didn't change a bit, but she could sense him smilig underneath his professional mask.
"All right."
She fully turned to face him.
"Just tell me, if I'm doing this completely wrong, because I have no idea, what I am doing."
Anger started boiling in her, anger at the fighting, at Tevarah, at the world and at herself. Everybody was so confident, so sure of themselves. Only she wasn't able to do something without questioning herself for hours. Before and after she opened her mouth.
The man seemed shocked at her words, and quickly shook his head. He then turned around and marched to an officer, talking to him. Syen felt at the illusions, breathing in the storm. It felt good. Better than anything she had experienced so far. The stormlight was glorious, raging inside of her, fueling her movements, her very self. The officer and his men marched away, taking the civilians and she waited for a while, before cutting the thread that connected her to their illusion, dismissing it. She didn't know who was at the Canton at the moment, but they should be allies. And it didn't help if their allies killed them. Grasping at the anger, kindling it a bit she turned around to Devaan and Solace.
"I won't go away, until I know where to send these men."
she informed them, although she hadn't really given them a chance to reply to her yet. It didn't matter. Nothing mattered in this sea of fire and death. Maybe except the fact that she would really like to give Tevarah his troops back.

"I AM GOING TO MURDER YOU!" Tena shouted at Naermen, flipping back to her feet, sudden rage granting her a sort of clarity, and slamming her booted foot onto the woman's face, then again and again until her skull had caved in. Tena's spren formed into a Shardax that she beheaded Naermen with. Multiple times. She made sure to crush Naermen's spine, then realized that all of the ants the crazy woman had released on herself were dead. Probably because she hasn't fed them.

Quote

Gancho, you have broken so many rules here I don't even know where to start.

For one thing, Tena knocked Naermen out, and grabbed all the metal off her. Your character cannot think and act while unconscious. Also, all those ants would be dead, and she needs to be touching Tena or Mace in order to use the pain-rial at all. Mace was standing several feet away, and Tena wasn't, but Naermen was unconscious and therefore couldn't use it anyway. Also, Tena didn't cause enough pain to make herself lose consciousness. The blow was what knocked Naermen out, and that would have given her a concussion that wouldn't let her think clearly enough to attack me and Mace anyway, even if she wasn't unconscious. Pain-rials only transfer pain, not death. You would still be dead.

Gancho, you dead son.

Kane was shocked by a massive wave of pain. He screamed and staggeres, the only thing keeping him from collapsing the tough Amberite legs. He kept him head high, the strength from ChayShan giving him a will. With utter exertion, he let the armor fall around him, and

Quote

Minor Godmod, hopefully you're good with this Archer

Mace did the same. Kane let him off his back and picked Naermen up from the ground.

"The ants will kill you if you don't stop."

Ax, Gancho used a Bestowers Lens, not a painrial. Also, Gancho didn't get a chance to react to being knocked out. THAT is godmodding. Naermen has both a boon and a curse from the Nightwatcher, and her curse is that whenever Investiture touches her she feels extreme pain. Essentially you would have been knocked out. Naermen also would not have been knocked out because she has perfected resisting pain.

The irony!

Axelius, you just killed another person's character without their permission. That is the definition of godmodding! Nor can you if his character's actions succeed or not! You're the one breaking the rules, not Gancho!
