I'm pretty sure it's not necessarily so. I mean, why can't he be an Elantrian after the chasm line was added?

Which just reminds me, did anyone understand where the chasm line was supposed to be added in Elantris? It's kind of confusing, to me.

It was supposed to be added to the Aon of the city where geographically the chasm line would have been.

Plus, a line drawn on earth won't hold as long as walls.

The city Elantris was the center of the Aon with the four other cities being the other parts of the Aon. The line drawn in the earth was just a temporary measure that allowed the power of the Dor to flow.
