Cep lets the Mindscape drop. He and Taeidin find themselves in an idyllic field, the grass about knee high and waving softly in a slight breeze; scattered across the field was a rainbow of flowers, and in the middle of the field stands a small cottage.

erryin shoots their hand up. "We surrender." They said instantly. The people pulled them and prodded them down the tunnel. They ended in a large cavern. Alot of the people, dressed weird and decorated with bones stood around a large stone chair. One of the people bowed. "We found them." Then the king yelled in some lamgauge and three of the guards grabbed ava and tied her up. Two others held erryin. "STOP LET HER GO!" they shout as loud as they can. "NO DONT TOUCH HER!!"

 

erryin backed up. "Make it stop.. please god please."

Cep walks up to Erryin and hugs them tightly, pulling their eyes from the scene unfolding. His eyes show secondhand pain, and his jaw is tight, but he shows no other external signs of agitation.

the scene blurs to a few minutes later. In the other room you could hear ava screaming. Erryin was facing the leader. "There's is a simple way to make her torture stop." He hands over a list. 300 people. "First we lessen it if you take care of these guys. Then the if you do the next list then we stop it."

erryins eyes darkened. "Take care? Kill?! I... why what did they do?" The leader laughed. "Nothing. Not really. But they, like you and your love, are close to finding us. So we cant let that happen. "

Erryin stared at the paper. Ava's screams echoing through the cavern. 

erryin buried their face in ceps shoulder. "Im so sorry. I..."

Subversion started suddenly, eyes snapping open as life returned to her body. "What page is it!?" She asked in terror, teleporting herself to Erryin and grabbing him by the shoulders. "Quick, before it drags him, and me with him, back down again!"

They wore a black crop top and black pants. They had a grey neckgater and a bloodied sword. Two dead bodies lay at their feet. Their clothes splattered dark red and their brown hair was basically dyed blood red. Erryins eyes were soulless and empty. "One third of the list is down." They crouched to one of the people who despite being stabbed multiple times was barely alive. They pulled their mask down. "Have a fun time being dead. And im sorry I couldn't join you " they then promply stabbed their head.

The scene shifts again back to the cavern. Ava was tied to the wall of the cave. Bleeding. Erryin walked in and ran to her side. "Ava!! Im working on getting yo-" ava interrupted weakly. "Erryin dont. I know what they asked. Its not worth it." Erryin shook their head. "No it is. Your all i have... all I have to live for."

erryin just watches in horror. 

ava shouts to the guard outside. "I cant let you kill anyone else. 300 people erryin." She looks at the gaurd. "Kill me." 

erryin stops. "No. Ava no. Ava no." They tried to grab the guards sword but it went into avas chest before erryin reacted. Rhey let out a blood curdling scream. It resounded in the caverns and if any Narrators or authors were listening. They might even hear a faint echo of it.

She adjusted the Codex and followed, letting Aspen lead her deeper into the forest.

after a while the forwst got denser ajd denser. After a small squeeze through a tree they opened into a huge clearing surrounded by a dome of trees. Nymphs and sprites of all kind flirted around and it seemed to glow. Small pods and houses floated in the sky making a whole city.

Ryna stepped through the narrow gap in the trees and froze for a moment, taking in the clearing. The forest opened into a breathtaking dome, alive with glowing nymphs and sprites darting through the air, their laughter and light filling the space.

She let her eyes travel upward, marvelling at the floating pods and houses that made up an entire sky city, hovering effortlessly above the forest floor. The soft luminescence of the clearing bathed everything in a magical glow, and Ryna felt a rare, unguarded awe settle over her.

“Impressive,” she murmured, almost to herself, careful not to disturb the delicate harmony of the place.
