NameIess Posted March 4, 2025 Posted March 4, 2025 1 hour ago, Halcyon The Only said: “I would disagree, with all due respect. You contradict far too many of the stereotypes. But at least that particular Blade isn’t part of your plan, if you could call it a plan.” NameIess nodded slightly. "Perhaps I do. But then again, you've hardly met me. Anyways, good luck getting betrayed by Rebus eventually." 2 hours ago, Through The Living Glass said: I . . . yeah, I know. NameIess sighed heavily. "Don't worry, I don't hold it against you. It's the fault of your Author more than anything. Not making Narrators right. Honestly! You'd think they had no idea of the long traditions of Narrators in this thread." 1 hour ago, TwinStorm said: Simon growled. "We serve no man!" he shouted back. "You cannot fool me with your lies." The king looked directly at Simon, and a force threw him back against the far wall. "I ask again. Whom do you serve? That is all I wish to know. Tell me who sent you and why, and you may just live through this day." 1 hour ago, TwinStorm said: Cricket gulped. Malevolence. Had he... he should've killed him when he had the chance. So he did the natural thing, and strode into the center of the clearing, facing Malevolence. Malevolence noticed Cricket immediately, rising from his throne with a sneer. "Cricket! You've come at last. I knew you couldn't continue to refuse my invitation forever." He gestured to the line of prisoners awaiting execution. "Will you accept my terms? Your life in exchange for an end to the deaths?" 1 hour ago, StormTwin said: Perseus nodded, unable to speak. How dare they kill Palsu! The monsters. It was just another name on the list of souls they had claimed. "He might not be dead." Moni noted. "He seemed confident that he could meet up with us again." She hurried on, and their surroundings began to blur. In moments, the camp had vanished. "Do you know where your resistance army is from here? It helps if I know where I'm going." 4 minutes ago, BridgeBoi said: Nox twisted his head. "That was a good line. I might use it sometime." The last question confused him. You want Utility to approach Rebus? Yeah, probably - where'd the spider put them? 25 minutes ago, NameIess said: "Well, good luck." Balitan started looking through his notes. The guard snorted. "Technology? Useless stuff." Rebus began to pace. "We should still do it, of course. Perhaps if Malevolence finally activates the teleporter, we can speak with the rabbits. But for now, my Author has created a magic system concept, which would assist in discovering new creatures." Rebel pretended to search around in his bag, which created a laser weapon for him. He pointed it at something unimportant, which combusted. "If your technology is useless, it sound like you might be interested in my better technology." 9 minutes ago, Halcyon The Only said: It was a wide cave. Some mushrooms grew here and there, and some growing crystals. I’m guessing this is what you intended— a place familiar to Rose. Lemme know if I misinterpreted. Meat's vision follows trippy dream logic - this is somewhere Rose recognizes, and if she moves around she'll probably be somewhere else she recognizes, but places won't connect the same way. 2 hours ago, NameIess said: "Alright, I think they're distracted enough. Let's move." Or you can simply skip to fusion.” @Through The Living Glass Hey Utility, can you give me an excuse to disregard this scientist’s advice and rescue your captives? You’re doing great so far. “I would be capable of it, and willing to do so. Interest and strong, moderately irrational desire are not something I have yet possessed, though I do wish to move and otherwise apply my abilities.” Excellent. You're hired. On 2/28/2025 at 11:44 PM, NameIess said: "Sounds good to me." Jacob waved to three hunters. "Lane, Barik, Organ. You're with me." He took to the air, cloak fluttering in the wind. "Let's get this over with and prove ourselves loyal." He flew towards the city, followed by the three other hunters. "Great!" Subversion cracked her knuckles, preparing to Narrate. "Are you ready?" Before the young woman replied, she did an incredibly acrobatic flip, landing on one knee in front of another student whom she suddenly realized was much more handsome than she had ever given him credit for. Subversion paused for a moment, waiting to see if her Narration would take hold. Placing me into his corpse will work, if you can convince his Author to leave it with enough residual energy. Authors have been directly involved in the story before (occasionally, in highly limited ways). Fate has been around since before I joined, I think. But I wouldn't say the tier list goes quite in a straight line from character->Narrator->Author. It's more 'normal' character->Narrator/Enuller/bonded withergeist->Higher tier characters like the Witherlord or Plot before he was vanquished->Author And there is a distinction in the power levels between individuals in a certain category, depending on experience and a number of other factors, particularly in the character division. Some characters like Malevolence, for example, have quite a bit more power than that 'tier list' would have you believe. And Plotblades muddle things even more. I suppose you do have the right to make whatever bad decisions you choose. The student let out a yelp as her body jumped into the air without her permission and proceeded to go sprawling across the floor.
