He pulled away and took her hand. It’ll slow down, but won’t stop. Don’t let it psych you out. She just smiled and hopped off the trolley with him, only stumbling slightly when she landed.

It felt almost like an office building, but with space between the cubicles that stretched up to the ceiling. And the cubicles were enclosed; they were really more like unanchored rooms. Small ones, though not as small as a normal elevator. A woman at a desk was positioned where they entered. “Top, please?” She glanced up, then looked again and frowned. “They warned me ‘bout you.” ”I won’t break anything,” he promised. She eyed him. “Big space between a true promise and a broken infrastructure.” ”I won’t,” he promised. After a moment of what looked like painful deliberation, she sighed and handed him a small steel rectangle with the letters ‘46’ embossed. “Jus’ wait over there till I call your number.” “Thank you,” he said with a smile, and led Tam over as she’d indicated.

His whole body went completely numb, and his muscles stopped responding. He couldn’t twitch, couldn’t blink, couldn’t move at all. - Five whimpered and wrapped her arms around herself again. Great. Oh my gosh what the flip is going on." Meat wilts, literally. “It stop to how know don’t I.” On 2/20/2025 at 11:13 AM, Sequence said: Sequence nodded, looking a bit more relaxed. "Well, I just understand that my friend here," she placed a hand on Unintelligible's shoulder, "is quite worried about your activities and the treatment of your Machination, and because I trust him greatly, I wanted to have this meeting with you. And while your methods certainly could be a bit less intense, I certainly think that what you are doing could be much worse. Plus, I'm sure there are members of your Machination who are quite grateful for the opportunity they've been given." Sequence turned a bit to look at Unintelligible. "Hopefully this clears things up a bit?" She asked. @NameIess “I would agree with all you’ve said. Do you require anything more, or may I get back to running my organization?” On 2/20/2025 at 12:05 PM, NameIess said: Nameless raised an eyebrow. And why would you think Narrators don't use Prismite just as anyone else would? “It may be Authorial placebo, but every one of my clone bodies has a Prismite core, which I have never seen reduce. But when I gave that Prismite to you two, it was used up quite quickly.” He gestured to the diminished state of the Prismite Balitan had been using earlier. “I’ve also never heard of a Narrator running out of power permanently, which suggests there’s some external source of Narration - perhaps the Thread itself - that is transferred to and stored within our souls.” On 2/20/2025 at 1:32 PM, Halcyon The Only said: “It certainly wouldn’t look stately.” She frowned. “Though perhaps may come in handy. I shall consider this.” “I should probably get some glasses myself, for the image.” A pair of glasses coalesced onto his nose. “And actually, I may need these depending upon what happens.” On 2/20/2025 at 6:16 PM, xinoehp512 said: So you are a computational core? asked the Ennuller with some interest. “I am a computer interfaced with an Ennuller core. First, the Narrativium in your core is substantially more dense than that in the dream crystal you gave to Balitan. Second, your clones are, unless specifically cut off, linked to one another, and will share energy. Third, you are correct in assuming that there’s an external source of Narration. Ambient Chaotic Light energy can be commanded by Narrators, and the Thread is filled with it. Beyond that, they subconsciously absorb it over time, replenishing their strength. 38 minutes ago, TwinStorm said: The Shade grimaced at her, as she hang up side down in the middle of the steaming tent.
