He picked up the sculpture, feeling it. "Huh."

He looked at the apple curiously. "This is. . . weird."

It bobbed a little closer, sending impressions of happy breezes.

"And how did that turn out for you?"

"I..." he faltered. "Not well. Stop trying to confuse me! I know what you are. I'm not letting you or anyone else hurt them."

Cricket smiled. At least these weren't tormenting him. In one world he had been to, the spirits had terrorized him so much he had left two hours after arriving.

"That's awfully kind of you, Bat," Tam said, appearing behind him and resting her elbow on his shoulder.

“That sounds like a worthy goal. What do you need?” Kion looks around again, hoping to notice something, perhaps a description of the area around him.

"Don't know yet." Around them were massive stone trees, with hanging branches that almost blotted out the gemstones that served as a sun.

"Onyx's backdoor," explained Bacon.

wait why is it talking about Perseus??? Is that a mistake? Should that be under the Cricket section?

It isn't. I quoted the whole post, but he's talking to Cricket.

"Time here is stretched, so I can't say exactly when they'll show up."

"Hate to be the bearer of bad news," said Bacon, "but they have your current position logged in their database. It seems they've been actively tracking you."

"No idea!"

okay thanks.

Cricket cursed. "How? How? What are we supposed to do now? We can't fight them, and we can't run!" he looked to the others helplessly.

Kion sighs, having hoped that just maybe he’d stop being overshadowed. “That would be Faunus. My name is Kion. Who might you be?”

"I'm Moniker, Avatar-well, ex-avatar-actually, maybe still the Avatar and he's an ex-Narrator... whatever. I was Nameless's avatar, but then he died." She avoided looking at the mangled Redmaw bits beneath the wheels of the train.

“We’re here because Kion, a Mage, would like to help people before his Render kills him. And you two were first on our list of non-made up people we could help.” Faunus said, inspecting the situation.

"Were the Brave Adventurers behind it?" exclaimed Selppaenip.

"Perhaps," ... replied. "but I doubt that most of them would condone something like this. But I know of at least one Brave Adventurer who would perhaps consider such an action, and rumors say that he holds a Plotblade capable of such a feat."

Subversion popped up, having recovered very well from her emotional crisis earlier. "Maybe you should just let them train you. I know they might be somewhat ominous, but Enullers in general seem like pretty good people. Aside from the whole 'trap all the Narrators in TLT' thing."

Platypus appeared. "I mean, trapping the Narrators in TLT is probably a good thing. Can you imagine what the world would be like if Narrators were there? It would be worse than it is already! And they keep the withergeists too, so even if you disagree with Narrators being here, it's not all bad."

"Are you joking? Two sort-of Enullers, who can barely use their powers, two Narrators who are useless against Enullers, and a human, and then somebody with a Nullite tattoo. We don't stand a chance."

"With Ciara? Then, we had Natsu. With the withergeists? That was different and we had Pyk. With the hunters? That was a rogue Enuller, and even then, we knew the whole force of the Enullers were coming for him. And we had Platypus. No. We need to find a way to stop them from tracking me."

"Me? It depends. Are they focused on you? Are they willing to fight me? How many are going to fight me at once? Are they trying to capture or kill you? Can we surprise them? All in all, I could take several. Probably wouldn't even be as hard as fighting Feanor was."
