“Nope!” She says brightly. Feeding off his emotions, she freezes the goo reaching for the bird. “Cool pun intended scream. I wonder.” She attempted to see if it’s emotions could fuel her.

The goo began to solidify. Its emotions were a whirling storm of images- but as Ista opened her mind, they suddenly reflected her thoughts. Her hopes, dreams, and fears all played out in the mind of the strange entity.

It began to take a familiar form...

Who scares Ista the most?

"Goodness!" said the inspector, grasping around for something. "I... would not recommend engaging with it, madam. They are one of the few things that can harm you while in this space."

Yep.

I'm torn though . . . I want to see her more than ANYTHING, but . . . I don't want to put any of us in danger. She could be in danger, too.

[What did we come here for if not to recon? These are disposable bodies anyways. Well, except for Cricket and Natsu. Maybe they should wait outside. But let's go see your sister!]

Imma just place the form here.

The blood left Ista’s face as it solidified into a man with a complex furnace contraption where his chest would be. He held aloft a small stone.

So like, Wrath (not Berin, cuz Wrath is specifically Berin under Madness influence) is what she fears most… but… like… it should not have access to any of the same powers, cuz those include an equivalent to just, Narration. But I don’t know enough about these. (But like, most people here fear Onyx way too much, so like… could it inherent it’s powers?)

[Besides, we've been in mortal peril before, but the reason we keep going is because of our resolve. We'll get your sister back, I promise.]

I doubt Ciara would let her leave easily . . .

Shoe smiled inwardly. But thanks, Yrank.

Oh. Right.
He'd forgotten about that.

Shoe took off down the hallway.

Cricket and Natsu, go wait outside!

trust me. we don't fear Onyx too much. You don't fear him enough.

To the point, I don't know for sure, but doubt that dream eaters are of Onyx, so inheiriting his powers wouldn't make sense if that's the case (and that's who you were referring to). With my limited understanding, I would say that because he is formed from her fears (which include the powers) the dream eater would have the powers (at least, to an extent).

But she doesn’t have those powers. The thing would get its Narration powers from the Archstone, which, as established, does not exist in this world… and it is something Ista has only ever seen.

yes, but because of her fears, it develops those powers independent of the Archstone.

It's not a perfect copy or anything, but this is essentially a dream. So things are possible here (at least in appearance) that wouldn't be possible in the real world.

Wrath laughed. "Hello, Ista. Fancy seeing you here. You look lovely, as always."

Hmmm… then I do believe they are, in some terms, “screwed”.

uh.

Uuuh… @xinoehp512, we need an Onyx intervention, cuz Onyx will be the only one able to stop this thing.

Do you mind if I control the water, since I understand how it works? Or would you rather I pm you the details?

or an Ennuller. There are a couple of those (I think) around, and they hard counter most things. And there are probably other things that beat dream eaters

Ok. But we *do* need one! Otherwise… well… um…

Yea.

Re: "Not a perfect copy" also Re: "This is (more or less) a dream"

Certainly the dream eater will have an advantage considering the power of the idea it's copying, but it will by no means require Onyx's assistance to defeat. If Ista is incapable of defeating it on her own, then the inspector does have contingencies.

And go ahead! If I controlled Wrath I'd just need to ask you a bunch of questions anyways. :P Just keep in mind that it is aiming to cause as much emotional damage as possible.

As much emotional damage??!!!??!!!??!!!

Ista shook as she saw him. He tapped the stone, and she felt her connection to Intellect break. She was barely kept alive by her connection to Mirth. She gasped, but he wasn’t done. “You abandoned me, you know that?” A wind picked up. “Kino asked your help, and what did he get? Death. I fought for your army, and what did I get? An arrow, a trample, and a burning. When I entered Madness’ grasp, you did nothing. You immediately started opposing me. And so, Ista, I’d say it is your fault the world will be torn asunder, made anew. A world which Madness once again rules.” He grinned, and the vines immediately grew at alarming rates, reaching for Ista.

"Hey!" said Erif, moving his sword to face Wrath. "Shut up!"

And with that eloquent utterance, he charged, weapon raised.

Natsu's already a pigeon. Cricket was falling through the air and so Bacon turned him into a pigeon . . .

-anyway-

Shoe (and company) flew through empty hallway after empty hallway, lights turning on when they entered a new one and turning off when they exited. He never saw any other illuminated hallways, which he supposed was both a good and bad thing.

Where is she? he thought worriedly to himself.

If anyone else wants to do something rq I gotta write a scene up.

Beosta didn't like the hallways. But at least they didn't look like her farm. That would be bad.

She has- well, she had- blonde hair, like mine, and blue eyes. She was a good foot shorter than me when I saw her last . . .

She'll be a woman now, he realized. I mean, of course I knew she would be, but something about that never seemed quite . . . real, until now. He was silent for a moment.

Oh, and she has freckles.
