But all of the above counted as violence, so Nameless’ attempts did nothing. Every time he moved to strike the jellyfish, confetti would sprout from its body.

Nameless did not account for the fact that the forcefield's source was inside of the jellyfish, making it impossible to remove the jellyfish from the forcefield.
old man moomba he/him Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 Dapper paused what he was doing to inquire whether the jellyfish was a fish made of jelly or a sea jelly, which are often confused with fish made from jelly, despite the two being from totally different places on the tree of life.
The_Archivist he/him Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 Archivist decided to annoy the jellyfish to death by explaining the lore of everything with only "you know" and "that thing"
Truthless of Shinovar he/him Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 Luckily, it never happened, because it wasn’t in bold.
The_Archivist he/him Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 Archivist decided to annoy the jellyfish to death by explaining the lore of everything with only "you know" and "that thing" (and since it is in bold, everything is shouted)
Truthless of Shinovar he/him Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 The jellyfish, while very bored, did gain a very vague and general knowledge on the lore of everything. By the way, welcome to the Shard!!

The jellyfish was indeed a sea jelly, although it had been mistaken as a fish made from jelly countless times.

By the way, welcome to the Shard!! Thanks! Archivist realised he needed to change tactics and became a pacifist. I don't know why that's helpful, I'm just doing it. NameIess Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 (edited) Nameless decided to change tactics. He sped up time around the jellyfish, allowing it to die of old age. Edited April 4, 2020 by Nameless
The_Archivist he/him Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 (edited) But Nameless forgot the jellyfish is functionslly immortal and cannot be killed by old age. Edited April 4, 2020 by The_Archivist

old man moomba he/him Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 Dapper helpfully pointed out that in the case that this creature was functionally immortal then it must be a sea jelly and not a fish made of jelly.

+Ed Venture Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 Because it came from the book The 14th Goldfish.
old man moomba he/him Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 Dapper picked up this odd jellyfish and put it into a jar, intending to remove it from this plane of existence.
NameIess Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 Nameless narrowed his eyes at the jellyfish. "time to pull out the big guns" He thought. He pulled out Nightblood, advancing towards Dapper.
old man moomba he/him Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 (edited) Dapper inspected the jellyfish nonchalantly. He wondered if it had a name. "Do you have a name?" He asked. Edited April 4, 2020 by Dr. Dapper
NameIess Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 Nameless stabbed Nightblood into the anti-violence forcefield. The forcefield instantly transformed into black smoke, absorbed into Nightblood.
The_Archivist he/him Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 Archivist then broke his oath of pacifism and burned the jellyfish alive.
old man moomba he/him Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 Dapper held out a hand. "If you would wait a moment please. This creature has yet to answer my question."
NameIess Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 "Well, you can always talk to it's cognitive shadow." Nameless said.
old man moomba he/him Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 Dapper watched the jellyfish burn to ash and sighed. "No point, really. Too much hassle. A fascinating creature to be sure though. A pity you were so fixated on slaying it."
