Star took her chance and ran toward Shadow, her shield protecting her. She also held her spear out, ready to run Shadow through. 

So BoS dropped her swords, and aimed her sniper rifle. She fired several shots.

Star's forcefield took care of that. She kept running, shield bared.

Star's iron shield was tough enough to repel those. Now that she smacked Shadow on the side of the head with the edge of her shield.

I didn't expect that to work. 

Star didn't wait and shoved her spear through Shadow's chest before she could recover.

“That…Confirms it…You were never good in first place…Pheo, I suggest you watch out.” BoS died. There was a loud crack and the void separated itself from her.

Eventually, the new narrator gained consciousness and sat up, muttering, "Woah. I just had the weirdest...aw fiddlesticks." His face went back and forth as he took in his surroundings, until he asked, "Umm, why is there a dead person laying beside me? Some of their blood got on my arm..."
