Not necessarily at once. He's too powerful for that. There are a few things that need to be done, including taking out his clones. As it is, Rebus himself is too powerful for anyone without the plot armor of something like Protagonist. Right now, Asharak is just waiting to receive those who join and amswer any questions, and provide direction should any ask for it.

And now, he despaired. He had committed crimes in his past, and his Author was tying up loose threads.

He sat on a stone in a distant desert, and whispered a prayer to any Author who would hear.

"Help."

9/10mmHB#2 awakes. It should be in control, but Inkwell seems to have been granted a burst of mental fortitude, and conversely, 9/10 is not ready to do just about anything. It waits for some opportunity to present itself. 

 

Rebus smiled, his crown - the Plotblade Antagonist - disappearing off his head to be resummoned as a glittering black halberd. "Welcome, Inkwell. Shall we begin?"
