"No amount would cure Sequence." Unintelligible said softly. "She didn't heal even when she had her Narration." He hesitated. "I don't know how much Narrativium would be needed to stabilize her. At this point, she might be too far gone for that to help."

Unintelligible nodded. "Yes. I managed to do that much, at least." He stood, walking over to the rabbit. "You rest. I will... finish convincing the rabbit to help us." He picked up the cage and walked into the other room.

Malevolence returned Ivisyre's look, violet eyes thoughtful. "That depends. What are your feelings towards the Witherlord's return? Will you seek to kill Bacon and claim the lost pages? Or will you oppose Rebus, alone, without allies, just you and one of the most dangerous fools to ever live?"

"You need help convincing that rabbit to help Unintelligible?" Cadewyn offered

Cadewyn stepped forward and lifted Sequence, Eepy scrambling down to her, worried. She felt too light. Far too light. He placed her in a chair and stepped behind her, gripping Resolution's hilt over and over in concern.

___

Hearing Unintelligible and seeing Sequence fall and cough that black goo, Ryver– no, not for now. For now, Nikkō. Nikkō, stepped over to the window.

"Unintelligible. How many preserved Narrationblades worth of Narrartivium –very pure– to cure, or at least aid, Sequence?"

Sequence shivered, murmuring something and reaching out a hand for Unintelligible... But she quickly fell unconscious, slumping in her chair.

Suddenly, another portal opened. Willow, the white knife with a teal glow around it, floated through, followed closely by Aelinor. The portal behind them showed a world of fire and ash, mountains crumbling in the distance, lake boiling, and trees burning brightly. Aelinor's face was smeared with soot as she stumbled through, the portal quickly closing behind her. She spotted Sequence, and, ignoring the others, she walked over and sat on the floor next to Sequence's chair, hanging her head with a weary sigh.

"The Witherlord's return is something I would prefer to avoid," they said, sitting down in a rocking chair that coalesced from dark mist. They stroked their chin thoughtfully. "Allies against Rebus would be welcome. Does Bacon still have the pages? Has he not yet deposited them in this... vault that I find within my planet?"

“No no. Cause.. cause cause. Sequence… she…” she looked up she stopped trying to not cry and just let the tears fall. “Locked me out… i cant see her. The only… time.. i.. first Ben, Ashton, scribe… now sequence and.. your honest rebus. Whats wrong with me? Why am i cursed!?”

jack shook his head and pointed. “Kyo is holding erryin back…” erryin and Kyo were both frozen. His watch buzzed and he read it. “Oh ok so they are paused cause Kyos author isnt ready to do anything so my author is trying to stall this plot a bit.”

“Sequence? Sequence is dying, I think.” Rebus’s face was solemn, his eyes kind. “But that does not mean you are cursed. The favor of the Authors is a fickle thing - sometimes they simply leave, stories and lives stagnant in their wake. And sometimes they sacrifice us for the sake of the story - to drive activity and emotion. But even in this you are not cursed. Perhaps worse, you are forgotten - the Scribe was allowed to die so as to release his creations, and Sequence has fallen so as to galvanize Unintelligible and Nikkō into action, to stir up activity where there was none.” Rebus looked Atlas directly in the eyes. “They don’t care about you. But I can change that. I do not claim to be good, but I am honest, clever, and determined. I would change you - your morals and your actions - but I would not abandon you, so long as you stuck by me in turn.”

Named was actually playing with paryl mist. However, he stopped abruptly and constricted his eyes back to normal. He could feel something through his Connection to the other clones.

"The Seven Satrapies have been brought to Battle for the Sandwich. They're fighting against Arrakis right now. And I've been named Prism."

Rebus processed the mix of crossovers with slight surprise. “You may go - I suspect you are needed, and should that change you may return. And should you manage to direct to the Thread those coherent enough to remain here, it would likely be welcome.”

"Well in that case, we shall leave! We shall consider this outside of the Sage's area of influence." Lyric pointed straight towards a wall and extended a hand to Jack. "Take my hand, and I shall lead us out."

Jack frowned, but took Lyric’s hand, following him as he walked. If that wall really was a hallucination, he would pass through it. And if it wasn’t, either Lyric would walk into it - which could be bad - or he would pass through and Jack wouldn’t - and that would show something strange was going on.

her author watched from affrom they never meant for it to end like this. They didn't want her to hurt this much but they feared what interfering with the line would do. So they just conveyed an emotion or two. Apologizing, and letting the two know that as an author, Hawks never intended to hurt atlas so much. And that they did care. They cared so much they had to pause typing due to tears... guys im ok trust.

Spoiler

YALL CAUSE WHAT

Coping 101. Ive literally had a storming breakdown the past week out of fear of loosing people and poor atlas is feeling the same pain im worried of feeling myself. At least ik how to not cope if it happens. T.T

atlas felt this and just hugged rebus' (im assuming xause height) leg. "I do it. I jus wanna fam-y. somone to ca'e about me. But... do I hava be mean ebus? I wanna be nice... and hep overs." She sniffed. She tried to pretend she didn't hear him say Sequence was dying

Named nodded. "Though I think most Authors who are active there already show up here."

Named began the process of accessing the Door Ways, but before he got very far 18142 showed up in his spacetime-curvature propulsion starship. Named was startled, as he didn't get warning for him as he did for Sandy and the other clones. Named strapped in and the ship began accelerating to lightspeed, relativity bending the realms just a bit so the ship traveled partially through the Cognitive.

As Named approached his birthplace (cloneplace?), he could make out more information through his connection with Trout, another of the clones. There was... a sentient awakened black hole frying pan?

Named couldn't help but grin as he returned to the chaos.
