TwinStorm He/Him Posted August 23, 2025 Posted August 23, 2025 Time passed. People go and change, and sometimes, stories are told. But they are only blips . . . only moments of a vast time. And in the moments not described, people change. Time had passed. Months maybe. Cricket had stopped keeping track. Since . . . Rebus's rise, he had gone solo. Gone alone. It was safer for everybody. He had spent the last few . . . months, traveling backwater areas of the Thread, keeping a low profile. But things had changed. Rebus was unstoppable. Cricket sighed, groaning as he lay against the trunk of the tree, listening to the sounds of the birds overhead. He had given that up. Now he was just a wanderer, just a nobody. You should go back. Cricket frowned, glancing upwards. "What?" he muttered to himself. That didn't feel like his Author, or any other Narrator he knew. Go back. The Antagonist is here. "Who . . . I'm not going back, you know. I gave that up." Go back. Nobody stands against him. "I . . ." he groaned, standing up. "I'm done with all that. I've only brought pain." You have a chance. Go back. He snorted. "I have a chance? You know how ridiculous that is? I should've foreseen this. I should've prevented him from obtaining Antagonist." Then what's left to lose? Cricket frowned, confused. What's left to lose . . . "Nothing. Everything good is gone. They're gone. Tam . . . Bat . . . Rose is missing." he winced. He didn't like to think of them. Bad memories. Then why not try again? "Why not try again? That's . . ." he frowned. Why not? He had nothing left to lose. At this point, he might as well stand against Rebus. "I . . ." Go back. Cricket nodded instinctively, and stood up. He brushed the leaves off his jacket, straightening it, and sighed. He was really doing this. Go back. Cricket took a step forward, hesitantly at first, but his steps growing firmer, harder. Go back. "I will." 3

There are some actions so heinous even a traitor wouldn’t commit. ”You can’t kill me yet! You still need me to guide you to Venom!” The sprite looked at Rebus Me? I want live. I key to door! Axzi spoke This is true. She is the key to the door, and as long as she agrees to treat me and mine just like anybody else, she should be able to live. Strange. I seem to have developed a fondness for it. Wonder when that happened. Regardless, she should be able to aid you elsewhere. I think she likes you enough, or at least she thinks that you provide enough opportunity that she would agree.

I’ll free you - if you can free me in return.” Rebus glowed purple, the color engulfing any hints of green or orange. “Help me get outside the Thread.” “Of course,” Rebus said. “There is no resistance - except, of course, the shadowy remnants of the Machination. If Malevolence - or anyone else - actively tried to resist me, they would be the only one. With no competition, it could very well be an easy task.” He hesitates. “Narrators… you are too powerful. I need to be at a higher power.” He then extends his hand to make a binding agreement. 1 hour ago, NameIess said: “Oh, he’s not dead, by the way.” Subversion noted. “And I’m afraid you won’t be able to kill him. We’re in the past, before the great battle he had with a group of Narrators.” Indeed, some pieces of lollipop and gum escaped Remembrance, rolling away with the retreating army. “Still, defeating him was quite the feat.” She waved a hand, and a portal back to the present appeared. “Shall we go begin your training?” up to you. We can offscreen it, onscreen it, montage it. If you want to offscreen it, I can give you an idea of some general Plotblade things, and you can come up with powers beyond the dice rolling thing for the Plotblade to have. Malevolence shook his head. “No, I think not. I wish to be a part of this plan with the Witherlord.” He turned to leave, sparks beginning to fly around him as his teleporter fired up. “Oh, and one more thing. Despite long absence, my goals remain unchanged. I will discover true evil and conquer this thread. And you will not stand in my way, Antagonist or no — “Well?” The Dreamsmith prodded the intruder. “What do you have to say for yourself? As I said, I mean you no harm. I just want to know what you were doing in my house.” I was thinking of RPing it, but God Killer might need to be somewhere at a moments notice Remembrance continues eating the corpse. “Let us start” God Killer said, going through the portal with Rememberance. 2

Betrayal raised an eyebrow and walked to the opposite side of the room. He tapped a brick, and it slid in. They walked a short bit and popped out right in front of the throne room. Guarding it was a massive, insectoid creature. It had fangs oozing venom than hissed dangerously when it hit the ground. Its legs ended in razor-sharp points, leaving small holes in the stone. TwinStorm He/Him Posted August 23, 2025 Posted August 23, 2025 Cricket crashed through the portal, cursing as roaring emanated from around him. This wasn't how he had wanted to start his heroic return. Here he was, instead fighting some stupid monster. He turned around, pulling out knives as the dragon took to the sky. It was a large beast, bigger than any he had seen, and had been ravaging the local village when he showed up. It wouldn't be too difficult to kill, only frustrating. He probably shouldn't have enraged it as much as he did. The dragon blew spurts of fire around, torching the hillside. Cricket crouched in a defensive posture, watching as the dragon soared around, undoubtedly hunting his scent. "C'mon." he muttered to himself. "Take the bait. Come and get me." The dragon paused for a moment, sniffing the air. Cricket grinned. It had his scent. Sure enough, the dragon turned toward him and let loose an earth-shattering roar, diving directly at him. Around him, pines splintered and cracked at the bellowing of the beast and Cricket grinned, feeling alive for the first time in a while. The beast got closer, and Cricket began to feel the heat of the flames licking the trees. "C'mon. Just a bit closer." The beast roared again, sending trees flying, but Cricket remained firm. The heat began to hurt, but he just Enulled it away, instead focusing on the six tons of meat about to crash into him. The wisps of his cloak caught fire, and his tunic began to burn. He could ignore it for right now. The beast opened its jaws. Cricket smiled and his entire bag caught alight. "There we go." His cloak disintegrated in the heat, as the dragon got closer. Barely a dozen yards away. Flame began to build in its maw again. The beast unleashed fire hot enough to melt stones as Cricket vanished, teleporting away. The dragon had time to wonder why it did not hear screams before it slammed into the mountainside, its twelve tons of flesh punching into the hill. Cricket grinned, watching the earthquake from a safe distance away. It was a spectacle. The hill flattened, sending trees and boulders flying in all directions. Once it was evident the carnage had ended, Cricket portaled back to the beast, which was by all means, dead. He smiled, picking his way through the corpse. A shame he had to kill the beast, but it had been threatening innocents. Enough distractions. Rebus grows stronger. Find allies. Cricket sighed. "I was helping the people." Enough distractions. "Very well." 1
