Bobert debating whether he should respond out loud or not, but he decided it was best to keep his ability to speak a secret, at least until he understood what was going on here more clearly.

Closing his eyes, he leaned back and let another one follow, and another and another. He could feel her tiny hummingbird heartbeat against his fingers--- reassuring, very reassuring.
