BOSS FIGHT

Rebus, having died repeatedly per the rules of dark souls and is thus feeling cockier, triggers the BOSS FIGHT.

Large room, number of pillars
 

Description of BOSS:

Two figures in gold armor,

Dragon Slayer Ornstein: skinny, tall, has a spear

Executioner Smough: Very big, fat, giant hammer.

 

As soon as you enter the room, Ornstein launches himself towards you, traveling across a rather large space in a short time. He attacks @Ookla the Irreplaceable

 

Smough merely walks towards you. For now.

It does.

Also, I’d suggest putting the shield on your back - it gives benefits, but not it’s block.

Blocking these guys is not advisable.

After Ornstein missed, he was open.

Yeah. Meat the Minstrel might want to fight him for it, but I think that works. 
Rebus walks around the room, studying the various blades and taking about one in three - teleporting them away without bonding them. “Some of these are quite dangerous; this one lets you train someone and then die. But others really could be useful. Desolation wiped away some dust from a tablet. He read the words out: "Those who take away elements of the plot from others will have the Story catch up to them eventually." Beneath the tablet was a small series of scratches, which formed words: "The more you take, the stronger He becomes. Take too many, and he will come. Following you from place to place, the last thing you see will be his face. A storm of fury, a cloud of hate. Do not dare to defy Fate."

He eyes the missing blades on the racks. "I think there was a reason why they put them here."

This guy is not parry-able, and his spear slams into you, and while you are getting up, Smough, who you ignored putting his hammer on the ground, reaches you and hits you, leaving you with a sliver of health left.

You should probably let Rebus attack for the next bit.

He’s stopped. “Of course. I’m not leaving this blade, so I hope you have a better way to get out.” He throws something into a corner, then teleports away.

Actually, he would have first tried simply moving a bonfire, which I assume is prevented by game physics. 
Rebus tries to get behind one of the two bosses, resolving to play by the rules at least by a bit.
