Marvelous :D. I actually did backread like a handful of random pages, and that wedding would be that of Beosta and Shoe, right? Lovely couple, those two!

Sequence groaned and sat up, rubbing her eyes a bit and blinking around. ".. I... A bit? A lot, I think." She looked down at her midsection, where the wound was healed on the surface, but a slight darkness seemed to lie beneath the surface, like a bruise. Sequence poked it gently and winced. "Better, but not completely. How long has it been?" Sequence looked out the window for a moment, then back to Unintelligible. "Have you been here the whole time?"

Not Shoe and Beosta, a side character couple. But the Priest hasn't given up on Shoe and Beosta yet!

"Just a few pages." Unintelligible said quickly. "I didn't have anything better to do."

Sequence nodded, standing up shakily and wincing a bit. She was stable, though. "I appreciate it." She said, extending her hand to Unintelligible. "Could you help me to the porch?"

"Of course." Unintelligible took Sequence's hand gently and helped her to her feet.

Rebus (prime) snaps back to reality. “I’d forgotten how that felt, without the Narrative connection. We needed a bottom for the bottomless pit, correct?”

@Thee insane, apparently something called Balancium exists. @NameIess knows more about it than I do. I don’t think you’d have the two power sets, though. You’d likely get one hybrid set.

"Correct."

Sequence woke up, having fallen asleep for quite a while due to her injury and her author's holiday business.

How's everybody been? :D Did I miss anything important?

Welcome back! :D:D

"Um, because I've stopped working for Malan and he's got assassins tracking me? I came to ask for your help." Malevolence gulped. "Also I'm mostly unarmed. Got nothing to suppress your powers with, and no nuclear devices on my person."

"Fun!" she said, smiling at him. "But I don't believe you."

More spikes grew, some pressing themselves against his neck so that he couldn't move his head, while the others wrapping themselves around his limbs, digging into his skin.

They became rigid once they'd finished moving, and were very painful to touch.

"Even if you were telling the truth, why would you come to us? That would be just plain idiotic," she laughed.

Malevolence appeared in front of Tam, Cricket, and Bat. "Hello. Please don't kill me before I explain myself."

Bat woke up, shrieked, scrambled for his daggers, fell out of his hammock, and hid behind the tree.

That was really embarrassing.

Tam, who had wandered back over to the others at some point, shrieked and Narrated a thick, black metal cage around him.

A large spike grew from the walls of the cage and pressed itself against his throat.

"You have three seconds to tell me why I shouldn't kill you right here," she growled.

Mixing energies in metal form = possible though super difficult and dangerous, only ever happened successfully (to my knowledge) once. Mixing energies in a living being = a hundred times more difficult and unstable.

Unintelligible blinked awake, standing from the chair he'd been sitting in beside her. "You're awake! Fell any better?"

Not too much. The trial started and revealed the most dangerous Plotblades to be Antagonist and Protagonist. A bunch of antagonists are doing stuff, the Priest officiated a wedding.

"I know, but this feels different!"

She did have a point with that second part, though.

Also, in case anyone was interested, the metal encasing the still-sleeping Rose had eroded wherever it touched her into black, flaky ash.

Would the ash still be encased within the rest of the metal with her, though?

I don't count Platypus as a Luxsprite. He would most likely be a different type of Ordered Light entity.

He probably is different. Less structured, a little more Chaotic than they are. I'll come up with a name later. Maybe something to do with Creation.

So they wouldn't be able to see it, then?

Depending on how closely they're looking and how thick the metal is. I figure about a foot has been eaten away in each direction over the course of the night

Is her entire body in the metal, or is her head out, or what?

I guess it's only like

a couple inches thick

Her entire body is in it, but there's a little slit for her eyes and some other, smaller holes so she doesn't suffocate.

It's probably all ash then 😅

Maybe a thin layer of metal still but yeah
