Subversion blew her nose, allowing the rain to slacken somewhat. "It's about Nogard."

"None," said Selppaenip cheerfully. "But I have plenty of experience defending the innocent!"

The Great Wizard didn't seem too concerned by this news. "That's fine. You don't need experience. I'd like to plead guilty."

Jilu looked around. “Where is the GWizard’s lawyer?”

Kion finally figures out he’s brainwashed himself. “Cancelation.” Earlier, the spell drops and his eyes go very very wide. “What have I done? I’ve never messed around with emotions before; with the spell, I didn’t want to stop celebrating. And now I’ve made my Render so much stronger…” Right on cue, the Render crests the horizon, a massive shape quickly gliding towards them. “We have to get out of here before it reaches me! Sequence stopped it, but that was in the heart of their world. And my magic will do nothing.”
Alright, I need to sleep. Good night.

Faunus looked up towards the render, and scowled. “Wonderful, just wonderful-“ then she directed her dissatisfaction towards Kion, “And you, well that was plain stupid- come on, let’s get you out of here.” As she said that, it just so happened  that a portal appeared in the center of the pavilion, to take them elsewhere. It was rather convenient being a Narrator. With a grin she stepped through, her long waist length strawberry blonde hair swaying behind her.

good night.

"He's talking to the Wizard, doubtless preparing a brilliant defense."

A wild ESPEON appeared! Oh? It has an Infinity +1 blade!

Wild Espeon used CUT!

ENEMY Render was defeated!

Espeon got 34567876545776546787654778655678 EXE.

Espeon reached L.O.V.E. 20

Pyk looked curiously, but heard the name of the AI and shrugged.

[The loudest that has been recorded has made an entire planet deaf. But it was nowhere near the capabilities of a DBS system.]

"yes exactly so we are not doing that, new topic you guys." Asher said with a sigh. naw I don't think I'm going to do that. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH

"That so cool! My instructor is my dad." James made a face. "It's weird."

Even more glorious! Tomato is overjoyed.

Bacon sent Faunus a letter. Did you draw this, canonically? Tomato wants to meet the illustrator.

"Then you must face your trial." A clawed arm burst from Omen, and he held it towards Cricket. "Take my hand to begin your trial."

"From?" Moni shrugged. "I'm not from anywhere. I was created by the Narrator Nameless to be his avatar, and he did not care to give me a backstory."

This did make it rather hard to read.

"Oh! Really! Well that's... interesting." said Perseus.

Cricket nodded, and reached out, grasping Omen's arm.

Good luck.

Well, that's good.

Mmm I’ll get them in later

She was quiet for a minute.

“Well, if he came all this way,” she said, “he must need me.”

"Well, Sasha is my human. I don't see your point."

Qodi was affronted and stuck her chin in the air, then turned to nibble Gail’s hair.

I didn't ask about your dad.

She bit her cheek. “I know. But… but I can’t just be irresponsible all the time. That’s why you have a headache, remember? Because I wasn’t thinking.”

But such bad things happened when she was an adult. People died…

She squeezed her eyes shut, then reached for her hair.

No, she told herself. Not this time. You can’t pretend to be a kid forever. You have to grow up.

But— but she didn’t want to. She wanted to stay here, with him, and pretend that nothing bad would ever happen that they couldn’t fix by storming a Nullite cave or telling a bunch of crops to spring out of the ground. She didn’t want to grow up. She didn’t want to be that woman who was capable of… of killing like she had

Irresponsible, thoughtless child or cold, hard murderer.

Like it or not, those were her options.

An irritated feeling sprang up inside Shoe when she said that.

The things she said out loud, not the thing to herself.

Honestly, she probably should leave for Shoe’s sake. But… maybe if she was careful, she wouldn’t make any more mistakes. Maybe if she was careful, she could be helpful.

I’ve always thought he could hear all her thoughts even the non italics cuz it’s just thoughts in a different format but wdyt

I've always thought it kind of varies; you put the "to herself thing" and it didn't seem like the kind of thing she'd broadcast so I didn't have him hear it.

It's fine, he said, trying to tamp down the annoyed feeling.

Platypus appeared. "Only the worst thing to ever exist." Then he disappeared.

The adventurer nodded, then pointed to the empty signature spot on the last page. "Sign here to verify your intent to speak truthfully at the trial."

"Can you just swear to me real quick that this will not bind me to anything besides speaking truthfully at the trial? Then I'll sign." Platypus quickly set up an area where all lies would be known to all, just so he could know for sure that the adventurer wasn't lying. When one bound one's soul to signatures, it was important to be sure.

The paperwork was more complicated than what the others had been given, stipulating that Jilu had to agree not to kill any adventurers in addition to asking for her statement and her assurance that she would be truthful.
