Nogard caught Subversion, keeping her on her feet. "Sorry," he said automatically, then blinked. "My parents? They're... passed away."

"Oh." Subversion felt even worse suddenly. "I'm sorry to hear that. How did it happen?"

"If you want to, sure! It would certainly make things interesting."

Her green eyes glinted with that (soon to be found dangerous)  mischievous twinkle, “That really makes you think about the amount of chaos you could cause by making certain emotions catch like a cold.”

"Good! One thing though. Whatever you do," warned Bacon, "don't feed him amethyst."

She tilted her head curiously. “Why? Is it a love potion or something?”

"Hmm. I suppose it would be a sight if mirth was catching- everyone would be laughing all the time! Or imagine introspection; there wouldn't be enough books in the world to hold all the resultant soliloquizing."

"Frankly, I don't know. And I'm too afraid to find out." Bacon shrugged. "It was written on the instruction label in big bright red letters."

“Interesting,” she mused. “Speaking of love potions—“ she glanced at Nogard and Subversion— “I need something to study for my poetry.”

Subversion was quiet for a bit, dancing gracefully with dark hair swirling out around her. "I'm no stranger to complicated. I understand if you don't want to talk about it though."

Faunus nodded, giving Bacon a big innocent smile, because that was totally  the emotions she was thinking about. Not at all considering horror, or anger. Yes, Faunus just wanted to make a room full of people laugh.

“Well, I’m going to go find someone to dance with, I’ll see you later Bacon.” She announced, setting her drink down as she went looking for a victim. As she walked away, Faunus changed her outfit with a thought, from the trousers and blouse to a long flowing green dress, accented with golden leaves around the neckline and hem of the skirt, a band of gold once more going around her waist, etched with roses. Her strawberry blonde hair fell loose from its braid, to hang down to her waist in a rippling wave, a tiara of roses blooming on her head.

"Hmm," said Bacon, watching her go. "I hope I haven't given her any unfortunate ideas. What do you think, Selppaenip? Is she preparing to wreak havoc on the unsuspecting party guests?"

"She wouldn't dare!" announced Selppaenip. "Not under Madam Sequence's watch."

"Hmm," remarked Bacon. "I suppose not."

Alright, @Through the Living Feather it's time!

After talking with Cricket, Tam and Shoe headed back to the main area. Tam went to find someone to talk to, and Shoe went to find-

Wait, was that Beosta passed out by the bar?

He walked over.

Um . . . Beosta? he shook her shoulder gently.

There could be a Mary Sue Plotblade and I don't think anyone's in possession of Exposition

Thanks. Are Plotblades found anywhere special? Honestly, is there a collection of lore somewhere?

There’s a man sitting stunned next to a massive ball of purple metal; if Faunus needs a starting emotion that could be an excellent source of confusion, terror, awe, and exhaustion. If anger was what she desired, though, someone else would have to do.

“Yes. I’ve heard poetry is often about love. Not that I know much about that.”

She frowned at Faunus as well. “Hmm.”

Beosta jolted upright. “Oh— sorry. Strong stuff, that.” She gestured to the empty can of cola. Then she saw that it was Shoe and she blushed. “Oh, hi. —Is Tam okay?”

Yeah, she's fine. He sat down next to her. Did you find anyone else to talk to?

See, now that’s unfortunate, there was a perfect vessel for Faunus’ shenanigans, yet she was far too distracted searching out victims- I mean, young handsome men to dance with.

She hesitated. Had she been supposed to? “Nah. Who else would I talk to?”

Wait, did that seem clingy? Or pathetic? Probably.

She reached for a second can of cola.

Yay! Just a minute though to see if anything important happens. Oh— in the meantime, I have a handsome male character she could temporarily kidnap.

He scooted the can away from her, a slight smile on his face. Maybe you shouldn't . . .
