Lady Bug's mind was silent for a moment. Romance?

Yeah, romance. You know, dancing in the moonlight? That's romantic.

"Until people get tired of it, I suppose." Nogard looked at Subversion. "Would you like to dance?"

11 minutes ago, Through The Living Glass said:

Shoe smiled slightly. Well, I should go find Beosta. I'll leave you two to it.

It was good to see you again, Nogard. Goodbye for now!

He walked outside to go find Beosta.

She rolled her eyes playfully. "Wow, good to know you don't need us," she joked.

"I want to hear more about this witch-slaying quest later!" Nogard called after him.

Beosta had moved down to the edge of the lake. She'd never been close to a lake or river as a child--- the closest she'd come was her school on the island, but that had been different. Enveloping. The lake was just there, still and peaceful like a pool of glass.

Shoe spotted her a little ways away. He walked over to her.

Hey.

Um, no? Assuming you didn't exchange wedding vows, dancing doesn't imply marriage, or even necessarily romantic interest. Dancing can be a non-romantic thing that's just fun to do.

Unintelligible showed up to the party a little late, but walked over and waved to Sequence. "Hey! Sorry I'm late, I was trying to find an actually useful Plotblade."

“Thats actually a good way to describe it.” Does this guy get annoyed, uuhhhhhhhhh, think quieter please, uhhhhhhh punch him, that’ll make him annoyed, right? I’d be annoyed if i got punched, a solid knuckle to the face.  No no, we dont hurt people, dude we killed for a living for like— and your done speaking. “Thats the only way to describe it.” Asher adjusted their mask a bit again.

It's raining? Lol okay

Sequence's World, ever attentive to the needs of its guests, provided.

It began to rain. The deck was shielded by an invisible barrier, but beyond that, it fell freely. Ripples of droplets sprinkled all across the vast lake, causing a pleasant shimmering affect in concert with the reflection of the setting sun. The rain itself was warm, and almost felt like it was hitting with less force when it connected, as if the raindrops were hollow.

"...I'd probably put in narrative safeguards. Make it physically impossible for it to happen. Of course, if another Narrator decided to infringe upon that, action would have to be taken...but everyone Narrator here - that I know of - is respectable enough not to start murdering people." He paused. "I hope."

"That's harder than it seems, in reality. Not quite as simple as Narrating a barrier that prevents violence, y'know? I think it's easier to keep an eye out manually, and take are of it myself when the time arises. This is my planet, and that gives me some extra leverage, so to say. I don't really think anybody will incite violence anyways."

"Thirty, huh?" said Nogard, still slightly dazed. "You look pretty young for thirty."

He blinked and flushed. "Er... I don't mean..."

Selppaenip chuckled. "I appreciate the sentiment! But I fear I am too fearsome to be simply normal. Perhaps, with the help of Master ... , I will learn those ways in time."

Sequence laughed. "Don't worry, I get it. I'll take it as a compliment! But yes, I am in fact... 30. Yeah. 30 years. 15,000 days. Yes." Sequence shifted awkwardly.

"Well, good luck then! And for the record, I don't think you're too fearsome.

“Pyk. I assume you are Sequence?” He was in a power suit, but it quickly shrunk down and entered a katana at his side. The katana was made of Mordite, but was sheathed. The sheath contained enough Nullite in it to be immune to Narration.

He took the hand, shaking it.

Tenth does not wish to go to the party, only to master his power. He didn’t want it acting out again.

"Nice to meet you, Pyk! I am indeed Sequence, and I welcome you to Sequence's World! Tell me a bit about yourself! How long have you been around? Have you gone on any interesting adventures? What are some of your interests?"

The Render, which had wandered a bit away from the entrance, suddenly springs into action, charging towards Kion.

"Welcome!" Sequence said to Kion as he appeared. "Welcome to-" She stopped and her eyes widened as she spotted the charging Render. "Hey! Wait, stop!" Thick wooden roots grew up from the ground to wrap around the Render's legs in a very strong attempt to keep it stationary."

Dewdrop’s wings fluttered as she tilted her head, the curiosity practically glowing in her emerald eyes. "A Plotblade, you said? That name alone has me itching with questions! Is it a weapon forged from the threads of fate itself? A blade that shapes destinies as it cuts? Oh, please, you have to tell me—what makes it so special?"

She paused, her gaze softening as she hovered a bit closer, her voice dropping to a gentle tone. "And... forgive me for prying, but when you mentioned the Plotblade, you seemed... well, you shuddered. Something about that memory spooked you, didn't it? What happened, if you don’t mind sharing? It’s alright if you’d rather not, but I can’t help but feel there’s a tale there—a story that needs to be told, even if only in whispers."

Dewdrop’s demeanor brightened again as she twirled in the air, her silver hair catching the light like spun moonlight. "Now, about Ookla the Unintelligible! That’s a name to remember. What sort of quest were they on? Were they as baffling as their name suggests? Did you have to decode riddles or translate their cryptic babbling? Oh, please tell me they were one of those endearingly odd types who somehow always manage to save the day despite all odds!"

She floated closer, her wings shimmering with excitement. "I’ll admit, I’m not the type to let a mystery lie—I’d sooner leap through a hundred thorny bushes than leave a question unanswered! I promise not to poke too hard, though... just maybe a little nudge." She smirked with a playful gleam in her eye, clearly enjoying the art of asking questions far more than giving them space to go unanswered.

Natsu’s ears perked up, his eyes widening slightly as he crossed his arms and leaned back on one foot. "You built this planet?" he repeated, a note of impressed disbelief in his tone. He gave a low whistle. "Well, that certainly beats most of my accomplishments during my many years of wandering. Color me humbled, Sequence. Guess you really are the Narrator of all Narrators."

He glanced around at the gathering, his sharp gaze scanning the crowd. "An occasion of peace, huh? Admirable, but ambitious. Especially if some of these guests are more interested in holding grudges than holding hands." His voice carried a faint trace of skepticism, though his smirk remained. "Still, I can’t fault you for trying. Nothing wrong with shaking the cosmere up a bit for a good cause."

Dewdrop fluttered closer, her wings shimmering brightly as she smiled. "Ooooh, I like her!" she exclaimed, clasping her hands together. "A creator, a dreamer, and a mediator? Sequence, darling, you’re an inspiration." Her expression softened as she gestured grandly to the gathering. "And you’ve brought all these lovely people together. If anyone can pull off a party of peace, I’d wager it’s you."

Quagmire, as always, remained silent. His katana rested lightly against his shoulder as he shifted his weight. "Peace is fragile. Hope it holds." He said no more, his eyes flicking briefly to Natsu and Dewdrop as if gauging their thoughts.

Natsu sighed, his mischievous demeanor softening as he addressed Sequence directly. "Well, you’ve got yourself quite the crowd, and we’re here now, too. If you need a clever fox, a charming fairy, or a... brooding enigma to help keep things smooth, you know where to find us. Here’s hoping your vision comes true, Sequence. It’d be nice to see peace last for once."

Sequence looked just a touch dizzy. "Well, the Plotblade of Conflict has the ability to grow in power to match that of your opponent, whomever it may be. Very useful, actually." She shifted uncomfortably at the fairy's mention of her reaction to her memory. "It isn't important. Unintelligible, on the other hand, is quite important! I consider him to be a good friend of mine. Way back in the day, I helped him on a quest to save the Narrator known as Nameless, and Unintelligible's feats were quite impressive. Later on, he saved me from some scary people... Uh... Saved me from some more scary people... He helped me find the Dreamsmith, who crafted this lovely thing for me." She held out her hand, and a dagger reminiscent of a kunai appeared in her hand with a puff of smoke. It was colored cyan and white, with a wickedly sharp edge and a gemstone inset in the center. Sequence admired it happily.

She then turned to Natsu's questions, laughing a bit as her cheeks flushed in embarassment. "'Narrator of all Narrators'? That's a bit of an exaggeration. There have certainly been Narrators more prominent than I! And, although I don't think any of them made their own planets, they certainly could have without much effort."

Sequence smiled at the comments on peace. "Well, thank you! I certainly hope it holds. And, if it doesn't, I have full confidence in my ability to deescalate the situation. Whether that be through banishment, or more... brutal means." A slight flicker of something dark flashes across Sequence's face. "Peace is very important to me, and there will not be any fighting on my world. Not as long as I live and breathe."
