NerdyAarakocra They/Them Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 Meanwhile, Nerdy was exploring the land beyond the tear. It was actually quite nice, with the small issue that Everyone was Rick Asteley. So was No One, as well as all the other people.
ThroughTheLivingSequence she/her/they/them Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 Everyone screamed.
Lunamor she/her Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 Their screams harmonized into a few tortuous beats of the song that shall not be named.
ThroughTheLivingSequence she/her/they/them Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 This only induced more screaming.

I’d like that then please, thanks!” Sequence smiled happily. “A talking knife on an invisible chain..” Sequence looked up at the ceiling and daydreamed about it and the adventures they’d have. "Very well. I'll get to work." The Dreamsmith closed his eyes, then opened them. A weapon appeared, a dagger dangling from his hands by what appeared to be nothing at all. "Here you go. You know, using a Narrator's soul to make these weapons is quite a bit easier than it is with other types of souls. Or maybe it's just the familiarity. I managed to make the chain half-real, so you can use it to bind your enemies, but also allow it to pass through their weapons when they try to block the chain. I'll let you name the weapon." He set the dagger with its invisible chain on a table in front of him, the door behind Sequence opening. "Oh, and before you go, I have a warning: Do not trust your memories. Some people have always been one step from the wrong path." Somewhere far off, but not so far as either of the pair would have liked, the first* eyes of the Hunger opened. *The Hunger has a lot of eyes, and if you're ever so unfortunate as to be hunted by it, I would recommend avoiding eye contact. Jagged arcs of lightning shot out from his medallion and hit every Platypus clone at once, leaving only the original untouched. Each Platypus swiped something at the lightning, whether it be sand, dirt, or a Blade. Most didn't affect the lightning, but all the Blade-wielding ones survived the lightning. Vengeance reflected the lightning that came near the Vengeance-wielding Platypus, and that Platypus charged in, following the lightning. The Mordite-wielding Platypus simply absorbed the lightning, then faded away, Mordite blade reappearing in the first Platypus' hip-sheath. The Blade-wielding Platypus dodged the lightning, and as it too faded, the Narrationblade disappeared. Finally, the untitled Blade-wielding Platypus teleported behind Nameless, redirecting the lightning towards him, and slashed at his medallion before fading, untitled Blade appearing in Platypus' other hand.

A massive beam of pure Narration launched at Platypus. This attack was not intended to do anything flashy like making an explosion or destabilizing Platypus's soul. No, it was far more simple and far more dangerous than any he'd attempted before in this battle. It was simple really. If it hit, just a few lines of Narration would become reality: Platypus fell to the ground utterly spent. Vengeance's glow winked out as he fell, Mordite blade coming free of his belt and rolling over to Nameless, the victor in this battle.
Through The Living Grub He/Him Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 Johny helped Xiahida out of a trapdoor, right in the path of the beam, and got hit full on. The Narration had only partial effect on him, causing these events. Johny fell to the ground utterly spent. His eyes lost their glow, a Mordite blade falling out of a pocket in his trench coat, the battle still on. Xiahida hurriedly tucked away the Mordite blade and rushed Johny out of the line of fire, confused as to the sudden appearance of a Mordite blade. The Narration must have rewritten reality.

Its glow faded completely, all its power used to counter the Narrationbeam. The beams locked, neither making progress, so he gambled. He took the energy from Vengeance that was rendering the arena inaccessible, and poured it into the beam. The Vengeance beam began to push the Narrationbeam back towards Nameless, as Platypus fired a beam of Narration of his own at him. All it would do was push the sphere that Subversion had used out of Nameless.

In his pocket, the "Mordite" blade fuzzed, for a moment revealing its true form as a blade that was merely extremely lethal, not made from Mordite, as Mordite was impossible to make through simply Narration. 2 hours ago, Ookla the Categorized said: Sequence blinked. "I'll put him on speaker." He did so, and a nasally, groveling voice became audible to Jeremy. "Master, this world you have decided to visit is terrible indeed. All records indicate that it is haunted by a horror that is unimaginable-to one such as me, obviously not to one as great as you, my master-and no one who has entered has ever left alive. It had many eyes open now, and had even begun to awaken a small part of its consciousness.
