"Go right on ahead." Subversion backed away from the fight. "He's right though. You don't understand. This Desolation isn't a narrator. Thaidakar was."

"He's not a Narrator, correct. I'm much more scared of Feanor than I am of him."

Desolation sighs. "I will win, since you cannot."

The plotblade reforms in Full, then is replicated so Desolation has two swords.

"If you want to keep on using your plot control, go ahead. But it is a crutch. And there are ways to suppress it."

"I don't need to be a narrator in order to destroy one. Thaidakar is indeed a narrator, but that doesn't mean I'm weaker than him."

"My plot control is a crutch? No, it is simply my countermeasure to your splitting trick. Have I used it any other time? And you are not powerful enough to supress me."

He runs in, Vengenace held in front in an attacking position.

"You shouldn't be. Feanor, for all his murderous deeds, is still at heart a narrator. This one has no such limits."

There's a good chance he could suppress him or outright block his powers. It involves redirection.

Desolation quickly disappears, then reappears behind Platypus. "Feanor... he is not a priority right now. Plot control? Do you even know where it comes from?"

abalodor points his staff at the ink thingy, mutters a word, and it evaporates. "yeeeaaaaaahhhhh no thanks to that as well-"

It reappears behind Abalador and hits him in the back of the head with the flat part of the blade.

Subversion nudges him. "When'd you get the staff Rond? Too bad it dissolved."

"Feanor has far more training than me and has a reason. Desolation has a desire. Don't forget, Thaid told me stuff that he didn't let you hear."

No, his Narration could be blocked, but he hasn't been using that. His Plotshifting and other Plot-powers couldn't be. It involves Plot and plot.

Platypus whirls and swings. "That's not the point. If we're fighting, we should fight. Don't just run away, that's lame."

Subversion sighed. "Fine. I'll lay it out for you. That guy, he's a being of chaotic darkness. Close to a withergeist, but different. Much more powerful than the average withergeist, for one thing. You have a Narrationblade, yes? It's made of Prismite. What do you think his equivalant blade would be?"

Platypus bared his teeth. "Can I get the lecture later? I'm not even using my Blade."

"The point of battle is to prove." Desolation says, holding Foreshadowing to block Vengeance. "And you have nothing to prove."

Desolation can make the Plot shifting affect something else by fooling it.

Desolation's Nohr Maul blade uses mechanical knowledge. It is made out of steel

"Do you?"

No, Plot (and plot) knows what needs to happen so it can't be fooled.

And he doesn't actually have that.

He's still made of chaotic darkness, and that wouldn't be his Narrationblade equivalent. A Narrationblade is made out of its wielder's soul.

"Yes, a stupid move in my opinion. All I'm saying is, that guy's nature is antithetical to yours. You, me, Thaidakar, every narrator is fundamentally a being of creation. They can use that power to destroy, and they can use things like Mordite blades to get around their own weak points, but they will never be quite so lethal as a being of destruction. A being like Desolation."

"Just because I kill narrators doesn't mean I am completely opposite of you."

Nope. No weak point. His weak point is the Nohr-maul blade.

"Indeed I do. When TLT is ridden of all narrators it will be a much better place."

"Your soul is chaotic darkness. Our souls are chaotic light. Perhaps not exactly opposite, but close enough."

"Hm? Then why Isn't Resolution a Narrator if she is the complete opposite of me?"

He is indeed chaotic darkness, but not in the way you would think

"Because the opposite of you isn't exactly a narrator. And it's not a Luxsprite either. As I said, you're different from the normal dark entities."
