*shadow stuff*

"What a bunch of absolute knockoffs." Everyone said from a beach chair in the room. They were idly stirring a cup of coffee. "But," they continued. "Your little 'evil shadow' thing is pretty cute, so you can have..." Everyone glanced at a watch on their left wrist. "Fifteen more minutes to torture Nameless before my empathy gets the better of me and I kill everyone in this room."

Esmerelda grabbed the knife from him. "What'd I say about going through daddy's safe? Go to your room right now young man, and if I catch you doing it again you'll be grounded for a month." She turned to Bookwyrm, face firm but not unkind. "Welcome, Narrator. We're glad you could join us. I'm afraid Eof is out right now, taking care of some very important business, but I can answer any questions you may have."

"Thank you," Bookwyrm said politely.

"I...don't want to seem rude, but I have reason to believe that Eof, or at least someone posing as him, is...." he paused. "Well, I'm not sure what he's doing, but it threatens the general peace of this thread. Some of his henchmen did something to one of my fellow Narrators.

"I don't have all the facts, and I don't want to accuse anyone, but...do you have any idea what Eof is doing, currently? And if so, can you tell me?"

Esmerelda remained silent for a time, considering Bookwyrm's words. Finally, she spoke. "My husband is... dealing with some business related to the prophecy."

Everyone found themself strapped to another table and immense pain being thrown on them.

The presence lashed out in anger, destroying the table and freeing Everyone.

You will not do that again.

"Thanks and all, but I could've got out of that myself. Plus, I'm always in pain. For me, that was the equivalent of a normal person getting a shot." Everyone said. "And Nameless, I said fifteen minutes because I'd rather not let you out, because I've never seen this happen to a Narrator and that's kind of cool. But, alas, Fuzzy just had to ruin everything."

What happened to me was not unique.

Meanwhile, Soulmover sat in a clearing, thinking about Eof's offer to him.

He heard a faint rustling in the trees surrounding him.

Everyone shrugged. "First time I've been able to see it in person. I guess I'll get you out now." Dark smoke billowed from Everyone's hands, which surrounded Nameless and the table he was strapped to. The entire table immediately corroded into dust, along with the restraints. "There we go." Everyone said.

My body? Didn't you see? It already left.

"Really? Oh well." Everyone disintegrated whatever they had just freed from the table.

Everyone felt a sense of amusement from the presence. I was not trapped there.

"Presence, eh? Thought I was talking to Nameless." Everyone rubbed their forehead. "I need a nap."

I am Nameless. Those shadows corrupted my body and mind, so I have to use this presence instead.
