Nameless paled slightly, taking a step back. "Now wait just a second Abomination. You don't know how to use that thing. You'll probably just kill yourself if you try to use it."

Abomination smiled, "maybe, but then again it would all be worth it if I took you with me."

In one moment three things happened. Mythos punched Abomination in the back of the head, Nowhere took the amulet, and Thaidakar finished Iron Man.

In one moment three things happened. Mythos punched Abomination in the back of the head, Nowhere took the amulet, and Thaidakar finished Iron Man.

Nameless cursed, leaping forwards for the amulet. In his haste, he knocked it out of Nowhere's hands, sending it skittering along the floor towards Mythos and Abomination.

Abomination turned to Mythos, swiftly punching him in the ribs. he turned to the amulet. he nearly got it when Mythos kicked Abomination sending him cascading the floor. 

Nowhere nodded and then tackled Abomination.

Very well. the blue patch stopped buzzing. The Quarkbeast arrived however, as he had gotten the updated version of the invitation. it noticed the amulet and trotted towards it.

"Quark!" the Quarkbeast barked cheerfully once more, and walked to sit on the sidelines, growling once at Abomination, who scrambled back in terror when it did so.

Nameless sighed. "Wonderful. Mythos, If you hadn't interfered, I would've taken him. There's no way he could've figured out how to use the medallion quickly enough. Now he'll have all the time he needs." Nameless looked off into the distance. "I can only guess what he's doing right now."

Abomination sighed contentedly as he sat down on his couch, withergeists loitering nearby, scientists and cultists talking in hushed voices, the bubbling of experiments and smell of chemicals wafting in the air. this was home. Scientists observed the amulet, figuring out how to use it. people went back and forth from the library holding books, trying to figure out the composition and powers of the amulet.

Abomination's attendant stood next to him in silence.

A scientist took the four-pointed amulet and approached Abomination. "I-my lord, this thing is incredible. The complexity of it is incredible!" he shook his head.  "I-I haven't seen anything like this. Ever. Still, now that we've overidden the safety mechanisms, We've figured out how purification works. You just need to channel dark energy into this point right here, focusing on the form and purity you want it to take. It looks like the medallion can convert energy types as well, but we haven't been able to activate that portion of its abilities." He handed the amulet to Abomination. "Everything is ready for the conversion. Whenever you wish to begin, my lord."

"No!" cried the Wanderer, rushing over to where Abomination had disappeared. She knelt on the ground, clutching her own amulet, her face screwed up in concentration.
