One of my family members is really good friends with Emily Sanderson. So my cousin has met Brandon several (three, I think?) times.

And I own books 1-4 of tWoT, and have only read tEotW. (Which I loved). I only started reading them to get to the last three, though. But I finished tEotW in August.

It has taken me about a year to read all six MB books. I'm in the middle of tBoM right now.

I'm not wearing my retainers right now.

When I first read Mistborn, I quit after 50 pages. And I only continued because of fan art on Pinterest.

Younger me = idiot

I have a friend reading shadows of self, and whenever he asks me BoM questions I reply “RAFO” with a sly smile.

I also read WoK and WoR in 4 days. I only stopped to eat and go to the bathroom. I’m a horrible person.

You are a liar.

... which might make it true either way...

Now why would I lie? Are you telling me the SA didn’t make you binge read it?

No; I'm saying there's absolutely nothing wrong with binge reading it.

Duh.

Not binge-reading SA would be ridiculous.

:P

I keep on trying to get through book one in the Wheel of Time, but absolutely can't. It's just so DENSE. Blah. I also can't remember the first book's name.

I feel the same way but with Lord of the Rings.

I’ve never tried Wheel of Time.

I started Wheel of Time and stopped at the second book because I hated it.

I also read WoK before any other book by Sanderson, and I picked it up because I liked the cover. It was on the "new books we just got" shelf in my school library.

I was ten when I read Warbreaker, so I was confused by Lightsong and Blushweaver talking about pleasurable pastimes. I re-read it when I was fourteen and was shocked.

I tried to read the Eye of the World four times, but couldn't finish the fifth chapter because it  was soooooo dry.

I find this utterly hilarious.

First time i read the way of kings, i was only interested in kaladin (tbh it was the first time i had ever read anything that huge, which is probably why i did what i did) and i ende up skipping everyone elses parts to read kaladins. I then had to go back and read dalinars parts too because kaladin eventually ended up with him, and thats how i starte reading shallans too and actually started reading for sandersons amazing writing and plot and not just for kaladin. Even though i love kaladin with everything i have

Well why not, my secret: I  did not finish Final Empire first time around becuase  I looked at the last page. I learned,  that you know who will die, and just stoped reading.  Long time later, after reading some other books of Brandon's I came back to it,  and by the time I finished reading The Hero of Ages it became one of my favorite  Fantasy trilogies.

- I read the last line of every book before actually starting the book...

- I actually didn’t really like Warbreaker once I started it, but I started to like it more as it progressed. After I learned about the Cosmere, I reread it, and loved it because of the references.

- I hated Renarin for the first two Stormlight books. I don’t know what happened in Oathbringer, but I stopped disliking him.

- Sometimes, when there is a love triangle (not just in Sanderson books), I have a fictional crush on one of the three people, so I ship the other two together for the sole purpose of keeping the third person for myself...

- I despised Vin and Elend’s wedding.

- I had to reread Shadows for Silence multiple times because I didn’t like it to start out with, and because it was confusing.

Oathbringer Spoilers (Wait, it’s June. It’s been 6 months, right? Still putting it in spoilers to be safe, though...)

Spoiler

- I have contemplated what a relationship between Jasnah and Amaram would look like.

- My verdict: that would look really ugly...

- I have contemplated what a relationship between Jasnah and Hoid would look like.

- I never shipped Dalinar and Navani. Now that they’re canonly married and together, I’m okay with them being a couple, I guess, but I don’t really react when they have special moments.

- I didn’t realize why the purple outline appeared around posts with 17 upvotes until, like, three days ago.

- I misread Adien’s name as Adolin the first time I saw it, and almost screamed before realizing that it wasn’t Adolin. I then misread it as Adrien, until finally getting it right.

- In the Way of Kings, I really liked Jasnah. As a result, I didn’t really like Shallan.

...I feel like a terrible Sanderfan now. That was a lot of confessions.

I force myself to read the epigraph's and interlude's because I know they're important but I really, really don't care about them on my first read. Once I know the whole plot though, I love going back and pulling them apart because they're not going to slow down the plot.

I love Era 1 Mistborn, but reading WoA feels like pulling teeth.

I am not the biggest fan of Kelsier. It has been a while since reading The Final Empire and Secret History, so maybe on another re-read I would like him more again. But at the moment sometimes I wish he had just stayed dead. I am open to being convinced to liking him more though.

When I was trying to recommend Mistborn to a friend who liked fantasy with good worldbuilding, I skipped over all of the cool, non-spoiler-ey parts like the ash and the magic system and jumped straight into babbling about Hemalurgy and Shards. I think I spoiled decent chunks of all three books in the Original Trilogy before I realized what I was doing. At least I managed to keep my mouth shut on all of the kandra-related spoilers, despite TenSoon being my favorite character. Also, with this same friend, when I was explaining the cool question I had come up with, I completely forgot that Feruchemy was kept intentionally mysterious for large portions of the first book, and I think she is smart enough to be able to guess several important plot points from the background I gave her on it.

Speaking of Mistborn spoilers, since I have no self control with TV Tropes's spoiler-covering system, I managed to spoil practically every single plot point of the original Mistborn trilogy before I had even finished the first book.

The first time I read Way of Kings, I listened to it on audiobook and was only able to get about halfway through before I gave up/had to return it to the library. I think there might be something about me and audiobooks not working well, since when I went back and read a paper copy, I finished it in like three days and managed to comprehend significantly more of it.

I once made myself late to my 9 AM class because I started a Writing Excuses episode I didn't have time for. Fifteen minutes long, because I'm in a hurry and apparently not that smart.
