It took years to get where we are today. Shallarin used to be the favorite. It still gives more google matches than any other.

I'm sorry, who is that one with? I honestly can't remember and I know it's going to be something really really obvious, so there is no chance of me ever figuring it out on my own.

Shallan and Renarin.

We can all agree with  Malarin though right? Renarin is clearly cougar bait.

May Aladar? Wouldn't that more appropriately be Vivenarin?

Just to be clear: if you post Oathbringer spoilers beyond the prerelease material (which is extremely stupid and in poor taste; I shouldn't have to explain why that's not cool), you will be restricted from posting until the 14th or potentially more severe consequences.

You should have empathy for people who are patiently waiting for the book and I'm not going to be particularly empathetic to people who spoil things. You can wait.

Or IMPATIENTLY waiting.

I don't know if this or the Stickadin post unnerved me more.

It was defiantly Stickadin.

The wait is made so much harder when I know exactly one person who reads Sanderson that I see regularly and they just finished reReading WoR. I have no one to regularly talk to about Oathbringer. I mean sure there is this forum but it's more about shockingly respectful arguments and endless jokes THEN HOW MANY SECONDS UNTILL THE 14TH / 15TH.

I know! Nobody in real life is a Sanderson fan in my group, but by now everyone from my co-workers, ex-co-workers, parents, cousins, aunts to random people in bookstores know that oathbringer is coming out next week. I've become that annoying person that no one wants to have around at the moment because I can't stop talking about it. I'm counting the hours at this point :blink:

I mean, I have relatives that read Sanderson, but arn't waiting particularly for this book, one person at my school who has read only warbreaker, and one parent who has not yet read the pre-release chapters. (And a sibling who has not read anything but reckoners and rithmatist)

So I'm counting the seconds. I don't even know when I get it, only "before the 15th"

I ve actually tried to pay my sister multiple times to read Stormlight Archive at least, but she said I'm such a maniac that she doesn't want to do it!!! :( i've offered her 30 euros per book and she still wasn't interested.

At least some people in your family share your passion

It's hard to believe a cool sharder like you could be related to someone so lame (no offense intended). I only have a brother-in-law that is into this series (this is one of the few things that we talk about and can agree upon. It's not like we hate each other but he is my complete opposite on just about everything).

Haha! Thank you! This will inflate my ego even more B)

The most hurtful thing is that she is so excited about other things/ fantasy books, but not about this!! Which is so crazy and stupid! I can't wait for the moment she will get into it and then i can rub it in her face all day. "I told you so". I asked that for my Christmas present she should read WoK .

I hope it will work out. The problem with me is that when i really get into something i become so pushy that I end up alienating people:(

Regarding you and your brother in law, I would say : "Brandon. Connecting people"

I have trouble with my friends and family as well. The Oathbringer is out precisely for my birthday (which is destiny or what), and now I hear they expect to drop by for some cake/party stuff like I didn't have any plans. Zero understanding here.

Is 17th Shard safe, or would it be best to stay away from here until after the release? I don't know why I'm even in this thread; I have a video game I can play... But I can't stop thinking about Shallan and Re-Shephir.
