I am super confused to be honest. I can't really parse how Brightness' action could have failed without her being detained, which doesn't appear to be what happened.

If a sabotage is blocked, would it appear to be the same message as we got for Brightness, or different? If different, then we need to figure out why there was none.

Also nothing new on my end, unless you count Lopen making me an "honorary merc" (really wish that had some kind of game mechanic. A kill ability would be nice right now).

Also-- Does a gram protect from everything forever? Like, is Burnt invulnerable? Or whoever else bought a gram a turn or two ago? How much do they cost right now? @Imrestudents?

I just don't feel like I have anything relevant to add to the conversation. If you want my thoughts, though:

An interesting use of naming would be to fake your own death. So you have a write-up and your name is crossed off the list, but you're still alive. If any skindancer namers did that, we'd be in trouble.

I hope you can't do that. That would be so misleading.

Is it possible that Alvron was actually the last skindancer, and there was no kill because he's in the crockery?

Will any useful contracts ever be put in Imre?

If not, can you use names to find robots?

Or artificery to create them?

Maybe the skindancers targeted someone with a bodyguard, bloodless, or Gram

Or maybe fae lore did something after all

I should suggest some tags. The GMs seem to really want them.

Oh, and also: Their abilities can only affect people in Imre, but players still in the Arcanum can affect them, even if they are not in Imre.

But Imre actions aren't my abilities, right?

Ah I just realized something! Thanks to PK's comment about expelled people not being able to target those in the university. My action against HH probably failed because he's at the university and I'm not. 

Also I was attacked but had a bodyguard so I supposed I could have been the sabotage target but the writeup sounds like I was attacked by an assassin? Maybe someone else was blocked who was putting in the elim sabotage? Did anyone block someone last turn that we don't know about?

OOOOOKAY no one is posting so I'm going to post who I think is the Skindancer team (NEW AND IMPROVED UPDATED VERSION!)

Feel free to disprove my theories I am glad for any input. 

First I'm going to give lists of the Expelled/Uni/Insane

Expelled: Burnt, Arinian, BR, Straw, Stick

Attending Uni:  Steph, HH, Cluny, PK (cannot be elevated) , Aman (how he not ded), Eol, Silverblade (cannot be elevated)

Insane: Jondesu, Joe, Orlok, Alvron, Hael, Sart

 

THEORY TIME! 

There were 6 Skindancers to begin with. So that would mean that there are 4 alive after Aonar and STINKs death (amazing math skillz).

So here we go! Dead: Aonar(Namer), STINK(Linguist).

1.Orlok<Insane> He was studying Sympathy and seemingly went insane on his own if I remember correctly? (too lazy to fact check this one sry) 

2.Alvron<Insane> studied in Alchemy and Artificery

3.HH studied in Physicking. He is an El'the right now, So I feel we should either expel him this turn so that he doesn't become impervious to expelled students attacks OR kill Stick this turn and if she turns up innocent then next turn we expel/assassinate him (try at least). But I think it'd be better to expel him now before it's too late.

4.Stick<Expelled> If my theory is correct then I feel like since Aonar/Alv/Orlok all studied in Fields with IP then they'd have 2 players studied in Physiking to keep them sane (although it doesn't seem to have helped so that's one issue I'm still trying to figure out )

Until this cycle both HH and Stick were in the Uni and I figure at least one of the Skindancers was still there. 

HH and Stick can still both send in the sabotage. And HH can only be blocked by students left at the University which is why I propose expelling him while we can.

So that'd be 2 Aturan Nobles, 1 Ylish Commoner,  2 Cealdish Commoners, 1 Edema Ruh.

 

If Stick and Orlok are innocent then I'd be suspicious of maybe Cluny or Straw. Since Cluny is Aturan he could be mister moneybags skinnie. 

Straw I just threw in there rn though because he's the only expelled student I don't have an opinion on one way or the other (haven't analysed his stuff I forgot). 

More likely though is Cluny or Arinian because either of them could be the rich baddies idk. But not really necessary to an Eliminator team IMO so that's why they're not on my Skindancer list. Thoughts? Protests? Let's hear them people!

Idk about the two evil physickers but i agree that at least 1 is evil. Other than that idk. I think alv and HH are most likely evil.  I could see orlock being evil too but idk. Ive not thought about him much.

 

Also whats the deal with Silverblade?  He hasnt said anything in aaaages. Unless hes staying at the underthing or something and cant talk? *shrug

I don't know for sure if he is or not, but he studied in Sympathy and could've gone insane naturally. I was just looking at the list of insane and Orlok and Alv are the only ones I believe went insane naturally so they're more likely to be Skindancers than the others who went insane.

Okay I agree that one of the physickers is prob evil (or both)...which is why I tried to block one and sent an assassin on the other last turn. I'm in Imre and the assassins are super expensive now so 

Any plans that y'all want my help with just pm me but remember I can't respond unless I send you a courier

I do think it's possible that either alvron or orlok are evil since the writeups did seem like they went insane naturally...I'm more suspicious of alvron. I have still been considering him a possible elim because just cuz he went insane doesn't write him off as a suspect.

@Elbereth are the non expelled students allowed to pm the expelled ones?

If I was lying you'd know by next turn when I was elevated to Master which would totally make me look evil since I'd be caught in a lie. So there.

I'm not really that suspicious of you though...I'm just trying not to rule anyone out.

Okay so the turn is almost over..I think my biggest suspicions are still that either HH or stick are evil (or both)...and that the other elims are possibly alvron, and maybe one of the quiet peeps out there like straw, cluny, silver, or Eohl.

I want to go read back through more posts and will try to do that next turn if I can.

LG33: Term 6, Month 2 - Healing

Noremac Quwester. A quaint name, that. Very newfangled. He’d have to find a new one now.

No, wait. Master Noremac Quwester, of course. The Skindancer smiled slowly. Becoming Master Physicker had been quite the stroke of luck. Not that it had been difficult to impress the past Physicker with his medical knowledge, naturally. He was quite... intimately... aware of the internal mechanics of the human body. But remaining in the University long enough to manage such a feat had been difficult, certainly. 

It walked towards the door to Dele Fajro’s room, stepping softly down the hallway. The payoff had been well worth it. The meaning of life, almost, it snickered to itself. To heal the world, just like the former Master Physicker had always dreamed. It agreed, wholeheartedly: to heal the world of the cancer of humanity.

     Jay didn’t want to be a mercenary. Sure it was better than being an assassin, killing people indiscriminately, all for a few coins, but it still wasn’t a nice job. It was long hours, and he wasn’t able to see his family so long as he was working,

     Jay reached into his vest pocket, directly over his heart, and pulled out a picture that he had been given by his son. It was a nice, if crudely drawn, picture of his family, all holding hands. The picture was what kept Jay going all of this time. He hand been away from his family for quite a few months now, and was the only reminder had really had of them. 
    
    A loud crash sounded from just out of the room, and Jay ran over to investigate, tucking the picture back into his pocket.  Jay readied his sword, and thought about his family. He would not let his wife become a widow, he would not let his kids loose their father, he would not die.
    The door came down with a crash, and Jay dashed towards the assailant. His sword struck out at where the assailant should have been, but he met only air. Before Jay knew it, a knife suddenly penetrated his lungs. 
    Jay dropped to the ground, blood pouring out of the wound. He knew he was going to die. Jay reached his hand into his pocket, and struggled to pull out this picture of his family, wanting it to be the last thing that he saw on this earth. 
    The picture finally came free, but it was covered with blood. Jay quickly unfolded it, hoping that some part of the picture would not be covered with blood. 
    And that is where Jay died, staring at a piece of paper, the only color visible on it was the strong crimson of blood.

Jay’s death hadn’t stopped “Noremac”, but it had slowed him enough that Dele was awake by the time he entered her room. 

“What do you want?” she asked, frightened.

“Hello, little girl,” it said. “Well, you see, you’re just an expelled student. No one cares for you anymore, do they? It doesn’t matter if you go insane. You’ll just stay up here, forgotten, until you die.”

“How... pleasant.” Dele said flatly, slowly reaching under her pillow. 

The Skindancer grew tired of exchanging pleasantries. Ha! Get it? Pleasant, pleasantries, it’s a pun! Apparently the little bit of the real Noremac’s memories that were still left still liked that irritating humour. 

It rolled its eyes and lunged. 

Dele brought out a dagger from underneath her pillow, plunging it into the Skindancer’s chest. 

It burned. Fire, pain, darkness consuming its vision, poison spreading down its veins panic burning freezing ice hot pain like a thousand nettles hatred pain anger pain disbelief pain

Dele watched the Skindancer slide to the ground, still stuck on her iron dagger.

“Ow,” it whimpered. pain pain p a i n

Then she was left with two corpses and a whole lot of mess.

Burnt was attacked, but protected!
HH was killed! He was a Skindancer Master Physicker!
