Basically cat  food

But here are some tips:

1. When buying cat food, always check how many %of it is meat. The best known brands like Whiskas have terrible ingridients. 4% meat and the rest are grains and other non-meat ingredients. Good cat food starts from 50% meat. 

2. You can feed him raw chicken or beef, just wash it and chop it, but make sure not to leave any bones. Especially in chicken. If they break and get swallowed they can puncture the intestine which would result in painful death or very costly surgery.

3. Dry cat food is OK, but don't make it his main source of food. Cats absorb most of water they need with the meat they should eat, so it's healthier for them to eat "wet" food. 

4. If you decide to base his diet on raw meat, make sure to supplement him with vitamins and minerals. They are added to canned cat  food, but are not present in chicken breasts etc. 

Some general tips:

1. If you want to keep him/her be warned that he might have fleas. They are usuall easy to get rid of when you have only one animal, but some find them gross and are terrified.

2. This cat lived on the streets so for 99% if has internal parasites. They too should be easily curable. You can do it in two ways. First one, more costly, is to gather some of its feces and have them tested in the lab to find out what there is to kill and then buy a medicine best suited for this kind of parasite. The second option is to just buy a medicine that has the widest range of effect. I personally usually go with the second option as a start, because it's cheaper and faster. Then only if I see any symptoms that parasites might still be there I go to the lab. 

3. If you want to keep the cat in your house, provide it with at least 2 litter boxes, that will reduce the chances of him doing his business somewhere you don't want

I was going to make a joke about Bruce's good behaviour being a trap, but with nerves, that's probably less funny, more "WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT".

Thanks.  I don't think I'm ever flying United again, though. There was a kerfuffle when I went to check my bags (the lady thought Bruce was unable to turn around in his carrier, even though he ISN'T, he does it often) and was a TOTAL cremhole about it. I mean, I get it if you're concerned about regulations; you've got a job to do and following regulations is part of it, but did you HAVE to jump straight to Brightness Hashal levels of rudeness? People respond better to niceness, you know!

But... I admit, I'm the type of person who would probably get over specific with regulations and technicalities. But yeah, at least try being nice and apologetic and sorry while you're enforcing asinine rules. It... doesn't make much of a difference, but still. It's nice to be nice, I guess?

Oh man last time I flew I went with United. Never again. They totally screwed me on some stuff. I won't go into it in detail because I don't feel like making myself angry by remembering.

Southwest is Best Airline.  Their fares are usually the lowest, AND they give you free checked bags.

(The trick is that their tickets are never on the big search sites.  The only way to see Southwest's fares is to go to their website.)

I wanted to fly Delta, since they were rockstars when I got stranded in Minnesota overnight, but their fares were too high. Don't remember what Southwest was like when I looked. But yeah. Should've heeded Dierks Bentley's song "United, You Broke My Guitar." Should've known they hadn't changed in the years since.

I remember one time I was flying out of Vermont and the pilot and crew were an hour late and it took another hour to fix a problem with the engine and defrost the plane. The airline happened to be United.
