I was thinking more along the lines of forcing another person to experience their own perception of time more literally. But anything goes. I just enjoy throwing out possible ways for a power to work *shrug.

For example, it could also be a healing power gone wrong, if it tried to “heal” Titan back to their normal size and killed them in the process.

Healing? Hmm... That would be interesting...

But yeah, I think the short-term-memory-time-banishment-thing is coolest though.

Wow, so I'm gone for 4 days and holy crud that's epic, literally. Storm you Brandon for that joke. Love the time-perception gimmick. Coma you are a god among epics :P

Don’t need anything!  Thanks for the thoughts on the girl   :)

Sorry I was at my cousins wedding out of town, and had a bunch of work waiting for me when I got back.  The husband is using our computer and I’m heading out to see my friend’s new baby in a minute, but if I have time before bed when I get back I’ll tweak and post.  If I don’t have time, I’ll try to get to it tomorrow but I have a sanctions hearing to prepare for first thing Wednesday and a big research assignment to complete so we will see.

Thanks for the patience!

Take all the time you need and then some. I think we’re all pretty excited to start but I don’t want this to stress Comatose at all either.

Voila!  Let me know if there are any issues.

What Happened in Edmonton

For the mystery girl, I'm stuck between two possible powers (both of which will work with what we see on screen).  Let me know which you prefer (I'm also open to modifying it still):

(1) Can relocate person or object in time - if this is the case, I'm thinking she relocated the strobe lights (which Doubletake may have disabled) in time to a time when they were on, and relocated Titan to a time far in the future when her body and bones were dust.  Still need to build in some good limits on this one.

(2) Can reverse epic defensive abilities (a meta power) - in this situation, as Titan becomes stronger and more powerful (and incredibly dense/solid), the girl reversed that process, leading to her disintegration.  This power would be more situational in its application, but would still be extremely useful and sought after, which is kind of what I'm going for.

And I should say, what Jeremy is doing is leaking Epoch's weakness.

Hey @The Young Pyromancer, I hid your post in the story thread.   Generally we like to keep those story only, so it reads clean, and if we let it get bogged down with reactions it can be a slog to read later.  Try to keep future outbursts of exuberance in this thread, as they will be welcome here :)

I'm glad you are excited!

Oh, sorry.  I half-figured that would happen.

EDIT: Also, Jacklyn is not in your summary.  Is that because the reckoners don't know about her?  Initially, she doesn't look like an Epic necessarily, just someone REALLY attractive.  Her real power is in her slow intensifying of relationships with others, which is near impossible to detect if looking at only a few people.  Only if you notice that she has intense relationships with a surprising amount of people does her power start to reveal itself.

Should we start adding any character intros we wrote up into the WHiE thread?

I'm trying to time my intro out. I'm thinking about third or so in the thread, early enough that it isn't late, but not so early that it is left unsupported by the other main characters in Edmonton.

Edit: Also, I photoshoped up a character icon for the Circle of the Shield associated characters. I might make character specific ones too, but here it is.

@Comatose

As I mentioned originally, I was mostly just including notable epics who the wider populace would know about and would be relevant to day to day life in Olympia Polaris / Edmonton.  Jacklyn didn't strike me as super prominent, despite her abilities, as she didn't control a faction and was new to the city, and her powers were so subtle.

I'm going to start adding some of mine in as I have time.  I'd say so.

Alright, Phytomagnet and Ironwood posts are up. Coma, your intro looks great! The last part was a bit hard to follow, but I think I've got it all after a re-read. Headshot, love the style, great setup.

Do you guys want me to do a more "entering the city" post for mine rather than a "character introduction" kinda thing? I'm down to write another if you think it'd be useful to have.

@Kidpen You don't have to, but it does look nice.

Thanks! I was hoping it would work out.

A flashback post for Phyto, since he seems to be your prominent Epic, would be helpful. I was just going to say that the timeline for your post is a little weird, since one moment Phyto is peacefully eating a carrot, and the next there is an angry challenging Epic in the middle of a fight scene. On the reread, I could tell they were definitely separate events, but it was a little hard to catch.

Alright. I'll make that a bit more clear on the timeline. And I'll get started on a flashback. Thanks!

I further defined her powers in the character thread, so you can go read that if you want.

Just the Dream Storm sequence (which actually should be hard to follow) or something else?  I'm glad you enjoyed it, but if there is any way to improve it let me know!

I've seen the profile and understand her powers.  I meant that in-story her powers are subtle, and unlikely to receive notoriety in the same way Epoch, Orbit, or Phytomagnet would.  The character thread is meant to provide the complete list of characters, the summary was only meant to provide some general knowledge for people to use in their posts.  Unless you want Jacklyn to be a household name, and have a reason for her to be that, she probably shouldn't be in the summary.

I was referring to the last part for Rachel. On my first read it felt like there was a lot that had been going on that I, the reader, had missed. When I read it a second time I was able to understand what Rachel was talking about.

Gotchya, sounds good.  There's a time jump in there, and I was meaning it to be more of an introduction to the character than anything plot relevant, but please let me know if you have any suggestions for improvement.

Great posts folks :)
