Comatose he/him Posted June 29, 2018 Posted June 29, 2018 If we feel things are kind of consolidating, how would people feel if I put together a rough draft of a premise or prologue based on our discussions and then post for fine tuning? I’m eager to get going but don’t want to be presumptuous or discourage further collaborative world building.
The Young Pyromancer he/him Posted June 29, 2018 Posted June 29, 2018 (edited) Great! However, the hard borders of the sectors need to be set. Also, I really like the idea of a crisis meeting. Did we decide what ended up happening in Oregon? Because this is a significant time jump, and it would be hard to leave that story unresolved. Edited June 29, 2018 by The Young Pyromancer

I wish you good luck putting the pieces together, but I think once the pieces are put together we'll have a pretty strong foundation here. On that topic, I kind of have another faction idea that I am starting to take a shine to. I'm not 100% finished with figuring it out though, and I'm not sure how much of it I want to expose right now because some of the details might detract from the storytelling of it. So, like Pyro is doing, I might want to PM the GM about it when we have one, if that works.
The Young Pyromancer he/him Posted June 29, 2018 Posted June 29, 2018 The mystery Epic will be awesome! I hope you guys like them!

Because this is a significant time jump, and it would be hard to leave that story unresolved. I think we're going with most of the factions not having hard borders, unless you mean the borders for Epochs powers? In which case I think we can play a bit loose with it. It was destroyed? I have a good idea as to how one of the cities were destroyed but as for the others (Though apparently I never actually posted my final wrap up so I might still get to that), I'd say chalk it up mostly to just the general collateral damage from so many Epics fighting it out, Astoria's government destabilizing would have unleashed a flood of very powerful Epics on the state. Mary and the Metal could have pretty much single handedly destroyed the state, as could a few others (Arsenal comes to mind)

The Young Pyromancer he/him Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Did the other Epics with PIs die too?

The Young Pyromancer he/him Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 I've only read Portland and Salem Winter.

The Young Pyromancer he/him Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 What reason? Was there a WOB on this?
Voidus Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 5 minutes ago, The Young Pyromancer said: What reason? Was there a WOB on this? Mentioned in-book. That's why the RP was set there, all we're told in the books is that warring Epics turned the entire site into a wasteland. So what happened in Oregon?
The Young Pyromancer he/him Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Oh. I thought you meant a specific event. You know, instead of moving to Edmonton, we could play out one of Megan's alternate world explanations for why Oregon was destroyed.

The Young Pyromancer he/him Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 ... We could do it again? That way we could cross over some of the characters kinda.
Bladestorm Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 6 minutes ago, The Young Pyromancer said: ... We could do it again? That way we could cross over some of the characters kinda. The issue is that its already been done. This is supposed to be a reboot, with a new plot and a new end goal. If we get enough support a revisit could be possible, but for now I think a fresh start is best.
Voidus Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Yeah I'd rather not to a revisit of the old RP with so many key players missing.
The Young Pyromancer he/him Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 (edited) The reason I would like to revisit Oregon is because I actually live there. EDIT: About Edmonton, the mysterious Epic is relatively neutral. However, the area is one of the few with tight borders. He controls an area of 4 city blocks, surrounded by a black forcefield with one visible passage in or out. Edited June 30, 2018 by The Young Pyromancer
Comatose he/him Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Wasn’t Obliteration also involved in Oregon’s destruction? I remember we started that sharing thread just in case. I know Mary kind of became Night’s Sorrow at the end (or a Night’s Sorrow), at least in our continuity, so she was involved.

Yeah we'd planned for Obliteration to be involved at some point, I'm not sure if we had many firm plans though other than 'Obliteration explodes'
BitBitio he/him Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Obliteration..... Spoiler Implodes. Spoiler Obliteration is a Firesoul Ferring combined with an Elsecaller with no Soulcasting. Conclusion: Reckoners is Cosmere 1
