Actually, I'll post something here so it doesn't get lost in the depths of Discord Chat...

A lot of SE players also have Town of Salem accounts, so I've set up a doc. If you want, you can add your name to the list, and then other Sharders can friend you, maybe organise a Town of Salem game if there are enough of you online, etc. Here's the link to the doc.

Online Game that's basically Mafia and is pretty quick and has a chat and stuff. Good for if you've got like 10 minutes free time and want to either kill a village as Mafia or save a village as village.

There won't be a QF out until MR16 is over, so that will be a couple weeks. How about joining MR16? It looks pretty simple for a SE. If you do want to wait, it's looking right now that the next QF will be Rae's, which is on Sel.

Yeah maybe I should go for that :) (MR16)

I want to join in! :)

I know the rules, but to join in, do I just go to a new game and say

Hi, I'm signing up as Darkness, This shall be my colour

Also, how are the members of good and bad picked?

You don't really pick a colour, 'cause there is already some colour based stuff in SE, where black is game talk, and blue is OOG (out of game) talk. Usually used for stuff like if you can't put much effort in the game due to an RL thing.

Otherwise, yeah, you just go to a sign-up thread (of which there are none right now) and just say something along the lines of 'I'm signing up and this is my character name' etc.

The members of the Village (good) and the Eliminators (bad) are usually decided by random, but the GM might move some players around so that the game is balanced.

There should be a signup thread in about a week, though. A couple, actually, if I'm right. One will be a QF, which only lasts about a week, and the other will be an LG, which lasts about a month, and is much more in depth (but, that's not to say you'll stay alive for all of it...)

If it's my LG that's running next (meaning, if no one is able to go between Elbereth and me+Elbereth so she doesn't have to run two LGs at the same time), the game will be a liiiiittle complex and done RPG-style. Preliminary rules are here, but the final rules will be posted into the signup thread in a couple weeks when the other LG hits Day 6. I don't think anything will change between now and then though, except maybe a couple small tweaks in action costs.

Wow... That is... wow. I'm going to enjoy that. LG18 looks like child-play compared to this...

Didn't you say you'd rather do LG27, though? (Also, do you have a co-GM? You'd probably need one with something that complex...)

I did, because Elbereth is my co-gm, and she's running LG25. But, no one has said anything, so I've been assuming I'm running LG26 and doing what I can to make it easier on us.

The time travel one won't even be that bad! Everyone eill be a Jack, there's only one doc, and you can just count the last time they die as their actual death. The only thing that might break the ss is how many times they get attacked.

The "last time they die"? What about the first, second, third, fourth, and so on?

I was looking at some past SE docs and spreadsheets, and I noticed that there were a few that, when opened, showed a message that the file was in the owner's trash and access to the file would soon be permanently lost (I think whenever the owner empties their trash). Specifically, I noticed that happen for most of the games @The Only Joe ran (QF4, LG10, LG14, QF14) and one of the docs in QF17 (the birds doc), which was run by @Amanuensis and @STINK (I don't know who owns the doc in question). I also noticed that the docs from MR7 were no longer available at all, so I suppose there's no way to get those ones back. I didn't check every SE file, so there could be others, but a sample shows most are still around.

So I was wondering if the owners of those files would restore them. I was also wondering if it might be a good idea for someone who for sure won't delete them to make copies of SE files so they won't be lost permanently if anyone wants to go back and read them, particularly ones from GMs who haven't been around in a while (for in case they delete them because they aren't around SE anymore) or who don't want extra files hanging around their Drive.

I think Elbereth noticed this before. I saw a note of it in Wilson's spreadsheet, and there was discussion that duplicates would be created, though I'm not sure whether that ever happened, because the link doesn't seem to have been updated...

However, I just checked MR7, and they do appear to be gone forever, unfortunately... :( I can't seem to find any other way around that. Shame to lose all of the faction docs...

I will try, but I had a completely different Gmail address back then.

I had recovered some of them, but I just hadn't updated the links in the spreadsheet. They're added now. Unfortunately, though, MR7 is gone. I highly doubt Kas has a backup of those docs anywhere. That game gave him nightmares.
