So... out of curiosity, how likely is it to get three twelves in a row with only two normal die? Cause my youngest brother just did that.

Rolling a twelve is 1/36. Three times in a row it's (1/36)^3=1/46656~=0,0000214

What Oversleep says is correct, but bear in mind that you would probably have been just as amazed by repeated doubles of any of the other numbers, or if he had rolled 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, etc. Basically, rolls that follow patterns like that are individually very, very, unlikely, but there are also lots of them.

It's still really cool and extremely unlikely, but slightly less so than you might think at first glance.
