Has anyone else read or heard of "William Shakespeare's Star Wars"? Basically, it's the Star Wars series (excluding the Force Awakens, as of right now) re-written into a play as though William Shakespeare had written them. They are absolutely hilarious and fantastic, and you should all go check it out.

So I just finished listening to Hamilton... While it's not all my sorta thing, I did enjoy it, particularly the songs with/about Eliza. "Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story" and "It's Quiet Uptown" were moving... Not a lot does that. Decidedly not good physics study music...

So I just finished listening to Hamilton... While it's not all my sorta thing, I did enjoy it, particularly the songs with/about Eliza. "Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story" and "It's Quiet Uptown" were moving... Not a lot does that. Decidedly not good physics study music...

 

Before the play was even a thing, I knew the basics of Hamilton's life. One teacher paid him more attention than most (many teachers here in the US focus on other Founding Fathers, especially Washington, Jefferson, and Franklin) but for the most part, he was just a footnote. And then I got to "My Shot," and I knew that his fatal duel with Aaron Burr would destroy me. 

 

And I was right.

There's an amazing amount of sheer emotion in the Hamilton cast recording. It's impossible to casually listen.

Alexander Hamilton was a hero of the American Revolution and the first Secretary of the Treasury. He shaped America in many ways, and the musical about his life does him more justice than any biography I've read.

Also, I wound up on a Tumblr blog through a Google search. And I was reminded why I left Tumblr.

Well, the man who wrote all of the songs is from Puerto Rico, so you're not completely wrong.

Stick with that tactic. The rest are as creepy as Sadeas/Straff Venture fanfic. Which probably exists on Tumblr.

An important episode to the whole show, IMO.  Because while Ted's utterly repugnant, Buffy is a superhuman.  She kills a guy for personal, non-supernatural-mission reasons.  And then the show makes him a robot to make her way okay.  They drop hints at it all over the place, especially "I'm not wired that way," but nobody in the show has any reason to suspect Ted isn't a human until he whirrs back to life.

 

This is far from the last time the show will bend over backwards to make Buffy retroactively right about stuff.

Now, I don't hang around internet (I only found out about reddit cause it's the only place to talk about Tak [super game, check it out]) and don't know what all these tumblrs, reddits, chans and other things are, but somebody linked me to that. Never fails to crack me up.

Well, these days, I stick to the aforementioned Potterfic and the Reckoners RPG. Though I did write a lot of crackfic back in the day, for a number of fandoms. Mostly Potter, but I wrote a few Hunger Games and Batman stories, many silly oneshots and some serious multi chapter fics.

Honestly, I need to write more fanfiction. I mean, there's a lot of MLP stuff I wanna write, but I've found a few other shows and stuff I want to do...

(And I still wanna do an Arrow/Shield crossover...)
