What info? Deathclutch is one of the quieter players. I still think he's suspicious, but I disagree that his death gives us a bunch of info.

*Based on who and when people have voted for him.

Vote Tally:

Alvron(2): Sart, Clanky

DeathClutch(3): Mailliw, Jerle, PK

Jerle(2): Lopen, Deathclutch

So the vote tally lines up with deathclutch being the one getting lynched so far with these reasonings:

Sart. I'm actually coming to trust you more this cycle. My top suspicions are now PK, Deathclutch, and then Sart.

You just kinda followed my vote and then turned around and suspect me.

What were the results from what we talked about you doing in our C1 PM?

Yeah, Deathclutch Is suspicious.

Well, Maill has proven his deductive skills to be quite good. :)

I'm willing to lynch deathclutch. If nothing else, his death will give us a bunch of info.

So in other words not much reasoning. Nobody had more than one sentence as to why they are suspicious of him.

So personally I think that those are horrible reasons but who am I to judge.

PK, if you want someones death that will give a bunch of info why not pick Alvron? At least people have posted more than a sentence about him. Also there have been multiple role claims that would be useful to know and some real discussion about it. I don't know but if info is all that you want I'm not sure why you picked Deathclutch.

Luna Arryn could handle solitude. More than that, she liked it. There was something about walking down a well-worn path and listening to the blades of grass shifting in the breeze that so perfectly counterbalanced the intensity of her normally fast-paced lifestyle. On a normal day, Luna could barely find the time of day to spend in the quiet of the outdoors, but due to her recent performance in the arena, she was given a rare treat: a day to herself.

The shock of a cold nose against her thigh reminded Luna of the wolf dog's existence. Luna scratched between the canine's ears and murmured, "Nice day for a walk, isn't it Ret?" Barking his agreement, Ret raced down the dirt path, kicking up dust that stuck to his dark fur. Luna made a mental note of the nearest creek to stop at.

"Yes." laughed Luna. "Today is gonna be a good day."

Well, some random guy was kind enough to buy me a muffin today when I didn't have enough money, so I feel exceptionally kind and will probably hold off my vote for this cycle lol

Is no one going to let Alv take my test for him?

If what Sart says is true there are at least two other acolytes out there who could heal you. Since we now know your role I'm not sure what exactly you need to be alive for another two cycles more for. Besides even if you die you can still communicate with us through a greenseer.

It seems like people are going to let Alv take the test for you since he isn't the top lynch candidate at the moment anyways. Even if Alv does heal you I'm not sure that I would completely trust him. after all the traitors would have had no need of an acolyte last cycle so what better person to have make a kill on a person in need of healing than an acolyte themselves just in case they are followed and asked to prove themselves.

Um, when did you learn my role..? I have claimed to one person in PM, who then told one other. Possible doc communication, maybe?

Other Acolytes, I hope you have seen the light and have healed me so that I may further help you. Even one more cycle is all I ask at this point.

Isn't Giant-blooded the only thing that survives the lynch?

It's not necessarily the only part of my role though.

I didn't think about multiple roles. But it does say "Roles and alignment will not be revealed immediately upon death" in the OP so I guess it is possible

Marcas Umber had 2 roles. He was a Giant-Blooded Ranger, I think. Obviously he wasn't an actual player, but I figure Ada did that to make us aware of the fact that players could have multiple roles.

Augh, just realized that I didn't post yet. Been a bit busy over the last few days. Doing this from my phone...

My vote goes on StrawMan. Will explain further next time I get a chance to post.

If it weren't so late in the cycle, I'd call for a lynch on Paranoid King - his voting patterns have been strange, and I would like to hear him explain his actions so far throughout the game.

Sorry for not talking more this cycle! Real life happened. I'll probably be more active in the future, but I can't promise anything. I do have an orchestra concer Sunday and a play happening in less then a week (eek), so I am quite busy.

Huh? That wasn't my basis for condemning StrawMan. That was just part of the reason I decided to go after him right then; he was already under the possibility of dying, and so, unless an Acolyte wanted to save him, he would be dying anyways. This way, I was hoping he could help us learn more. Then the evil team decided that they didn't want to wait for their greyscale to kick in and decided to waste a kill on him instead.

That seems like a very dumb thing for an eliminator team to do. As you say, it's a total waste of a kill. Why would they do that? Seriously, why.

In other news, I would like to hear more from Alvron and Elbereth. They have been flying under the radar by not casting a vote, but they've been active enough to write somewhat lengthy posts. I can understand why the new players would be hesitant to vote, but it doesn't excuse you two.

Hello? Read my storming playstyle.

Sorry! I know, I need to vote. I'll try to get around to doing that next cycle. (I don't have time to analyze this cycle.)

And this seems exactly like normal Alvron, I think. I haven't played much with him, but I don't think there's anything unusual there.

Well you could be the one making the kill because you have the least useful role or people with less important roles roles were inactive. Also this is probably the main reason for it being strawman who was killed exactly so that you would have an excuse in case you were caught. I'm thinking that now knowing that STINK was a stoneman the eliminators decided that they would first infect whomever they killed so that they can have a convenient excuse should they get caught visiting that player. To be fair that only would have worked a few times until people would suspect and begin protecting the infected players, which then also helps the traitors by drawing protection towards the infected players allowing them to target other players with ease.

As I said above, that seems like an enormous waste of a Stoneman. They could kill double the amount (or almost, depending on Acolytes), but they instead choose to double-tap everyone? Can someone explain why that's a good idea?

Players who have yet to post in the thread(5): Anamaximder(has not been online this Cycle), Elbereth(was online about 3 hours ago, so her lack of posting is pretty surprising to me, since she's usually pretty vocal), Kipper(has not been online this Cycle), Orlok(was online about an hour ago, but like Elbereth, hasn't posted yet, and while I don't think he's usually quite as active a player in the thread as Elbereth is, it's still a bit disconcerting) and LUNA(has not been online this Cycle).

Again, sorry. At that point, I was being constantly interrupted and in no state to be writing a post. I know I need to be more active. Sorry!

Well, you know what they say; if you give a man enough rope, he'll hang himself on it. I was worried that you might have been someone suspicious of Strawman. The likely candidates were Steward, Acolyte, and Ranger.

  • If you had claimed Steward, you would have to claim Stickman's role, and we might have spared you today to see the results tomorrow. The fact that Stickman role claimed in code would have made things even more gray.
  • I discounted the possibility of Ranger, since we already have one dead, and I'm another one.
  • That left the possibility of Acolyte, which is what you're claiming. However, that doesn't make any sense. I was fully healed last night. I had to double check the rules to realize what that meant. It means that at least 2 acolytes targeted me last night. I highly doubt we have 3 Acolytes Alvron. There's just not that much they can heal. Even if you're an acolyte, we'll still have two left.
Wait, why did two Acolytes have to target you? You were Fatally Wounded, and one healed you. Right?

Also, it's very possible to have three Acolytes, I think, given there was a Stoneman on the Eliminator team and also looking at the number of players killed or wounded every cycle. That seems balanced, maybe? But I don't know too much about balance, so correct me if I'm wrong.

The eliminators have more people on their team, so more people are likely to have read the rules on the shadowbinder. So I may as well put it out here now and make it public info: I am the shadowbinder. Shocking. Need proof? In order to make the shadowbinder kill, the shadowbinder needs to lynch someone. Other than strawman, I am the only person who has participated in both lynches. And strawman is dead.

So I need to pick a target to kill based on who has been voted for. As I said at the beginning of the game, I'm changing my strategy because my normal, "they sound suspicious, lynch them" strategy didn't work very well. The strategy I'm using now to determine who is good and who isn't is based on general movements in the lynch. I need to be part of the lynch, and I need to gather info on how the lynch moves, so that's likely why my voting patterns are off.

Elb, the only reason to kill someone with greyscale is to ensure they can't be healed.

PK, I have another claim for Shadowbinder already. And the other makes more sense. I propose we kill PK this cycle and if he is the Shadowbinder, we can kill the other claimed Shadowbinder.

Edit: PK where was your kill last cycle?

Does it? Read the rules:

"Shadowbinder: Every cycle you cast a  vote for a player to the Pyre and they die, you can bring your shadow to life and kill another player of your choosing."

"[4] Mark IV: JerleShannara, ThatTinyStrawMan, Mailliw73, Paranoid King"

"[4] Mailliw73: Sart, Paranoid King, Curious Anamaximder, ThatTinyStrawMan"

"Stick (TinyStrawMan) was killed by the Turncloaks!"

Either that other shadowbinder of yours hasn't made a single kill or they're lying.

edit:

Edit: PK where was your kill last cycle?

Oh yeah, he didn't show up on the write-up. Darn. I revealed myself prematurely there.

I aimed to kill Anamaximder.

So PK claimed to be the Shadowbinder and we have another Shadowbinder claim? Did both STINK and the other shadowbinder claim to have killed STINK? I doubt that the traitors would have a shadowbinder and a Stoneman. Unless they only have 3 players and there is no faceless man maybe?
