Oh, well thank you.

I said "you're welcome" because I brought up the whole "y'all" discussion.

Sorry if I somehow offended someone.

Yeah you did bring it up, and I saw the comment as a  reference to it. I usual say your welcome when someone is annoyed at me for doing something a while back lol

This is...pre-emptive. Maybe unnecessary? Dunno.

But I have a meeting with the bosses at my work tomorrow. There has been some...

Bad blood, let's say, brewing amongst the work staff towards the office staff. So I suspect that might have something to do with it.

Still nerves.

Guess who's bed just literally fell apart? Guess who's sleeping on the couch?

You merely adopted the couch. I was born on it, raised on it. I never saw a bed until I was already a man, and by then it was nothing to me but frivolous!

You ever have a day where everything has been going well, but you're irritated by everything and also convinced you're secretly screwing up everything that seems to be working just fine and that you'll wake up and find everything has crashed down on top of you?

You just described most of my days

except just throw in the paranoia that noone likes me

Still feeling down.

Left work, came home to find that the chicken I'd left out to defrost this morning, with the intention of putting it in the fridge before I went to work….

….was still on the counter.

No idea if the pork chop I took out of the freezer and put in the fridge (because there's no way I'm going to risk wasting another meal when I go back after my lunch break) will defrost by the time I get home tonight. Don't know what to order, if I'm getting takeout or delivery. The pizza place I ordered from last time has a free pizza on file for me as an apology, but since I got it by yelling at them (ordered it on a day when I had to work, an hour and twenty minutes later, I find out that they'd sent their driver to drop off a delivery at a school first, and nobody who answered the phone seemed to care except the manager when I sent in an angry comment through their website) I don't ever want to collect it. It's listed under my phone number, so if I call, they'll know.

:(

I just want to stay home with Bruce and curl up on my bed for the rest of the day.

And its hot enough that the chicken is definitely bad? :(

Also sometimes can't you start cooking something partially frozen and just cook it a bit longer?

There's got to be more than one takeaway place in the whole city.
Or you could go for comfort food and just make pasta or something?

just keep chugging Twi. You got this. <3

There's a ton of takeaway places here, but I'm sensitive to additives, so that limits my options quite a bit.

And I could do pasta, but I need protein too...

My default lazy option is pasta and throw in either grated cheese or a can of tuna.

Ohhhh, I could do a tuna sandwich. Put it on ~fancy bread~ and heat it in the oven to make it feel a little more special. Saves me the headache of having to pick up a takeout order, too.

And add lettuce or avocado or something for extra special points. And or hot chocolate. :)

Usually, the minimum time for safely leaving food "out" is about 4 hours.  This may be extended a bit if the chicken started out frozen.  So...depending on how long it sat there, it might've been OK.

Though that may just be assuming it's been cooked.  With raw chicken, I could be completely off.

Yeah, it was raw. Maybe it was safe, but on a day when the 8,597,325th question about how to work the printer nearly makes me cry, I'm not going to risk food poisoning, too.

Your choice was probably the wise one.

Go treat yourself to a really nice bit of chocolate tonight.

Chips in a tuna sandwich?

No worries :)
