Erm I have a problem.

Theres like 25 people in one room for hours and hours with no oxygen flow. I'm sensitive to that, couldn't concentrate in high school without air. Now I'm falling asleep. There are two small windows and opening them doesn't help. The person sitting next to me who woke me twice in like ten minutes just told me I'm audibly snoring. So yay for all of the embarrassment!

Im gonna try sit next to the window from now on but people have unofficial set seats at this point so awkwardness, and I'll probably be told to close it because it's too cold outside.....that's what usually happens anyway......

there is this one building on the campus which has rooms like you know, amfitheatre, for lectures, lots of people. Like more than a hundred.

We have it on good authority that CO2 levels there are way past the norm. No wonder I keep falling asleep there...

... Okay, I fall asleep pretty much anywhere... but that building is the worst.

If any authority figures object, answer with a phrase from this handy-dandy ominous statement generator. At the very least, they'll be so confused that you can steal a few more gasps of fresh air. :P

The stars do not know you. Sleep well: they, too, have teeth.

And another: all the heating in my building is controlled from one unknown central location so I'm cold and can't do anything about it other than spending more money on a heater I can plug in and hope it doesn't explode.

This is where sweaters, scarves and warm blankets come in handy.

Trust me, I'm a Canadian.

(How cold is it anyway?)

Google tells me its 6 Celsius now at 11pm.

Scarves are weird indoors though. You're supposed to come in and take off outer layers and be more comfortable! I did buy a pair of thick fluffy socks.

That's not too bad then - practically spring weather! ;)

You just drink, I don't know how does one exclude the other :P you can drink water, juices and fizzy drinks that are room temperature if you don't want anything cold. Tea is good to warm you, but I often still feel thirsty after it. Just a bottle of water standing on the desk works best for me. Get your warmth from warm clothes and calories you eat :)

I'll trade. It's 10:30PM here and 71F outside (about 28C). I never expect it to be particularly cold, but this is turning out to be a hot week overall. It sucks.

@Deliiiiiightful - just drink :)

go with @Mestiv's advice too; get a bottle of water and set it out beside you so it becomes comfortably room temperature. Drink when thirsty.

Tea is good, but caffeine dehydrates. I recommend tea (or better yet, hot cocoa) as a warm drink, with a bottle of water beside so you can stay hydrated. Eat a good amount of food, preferably warm - calories keep you toasty :)

But yeah, I spent 2.5 hours shovelling snow this morning. In a t-shirt (Snow pants and gloves too - but I got too hot and had to take my coat, scarf and toque off). So apparently I'm turning into a real Canadian (for the record, I live in the mildest part of Canada where it rarely snows in the winter. This winter has been unusually cold and snowy)

You'll be surprised :)

I'm pretty close to you, over in Israel, originally Australian though. I'd like to visit Greece and Italy one day. History is the coolest.

Okay guys, warm clothes wise - I have a scarf and beanie, thick fluffy socks, hoodie and jacket. What other magic clothes items do you wear to keep warm? Leg-warmers? Gloves? Black balaclavas and pistols? Burn pewter?

So. Cold.
