NottTheBrave he/him Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 Season 2 of the office is where is gets good! Season 1... it's rough. It's only six episodes thank goodness, but they're hard to get into, especially now. But yeah, it quickly becomes great. My personal favorite tv show!

I watched the second episode and almost turned it off aha. Still gonna give it a go. It might end up like ds9 was for me; I needed to skip myself to season 3 then go back and watch season 1-2 after I got attached to the characters.

It sure looks like a fun film that I could enjoy but I'm not really trying to go out my way to see it. Well it’s not exactly a musical since no one breaks out in song, it’s just done like someone would in real life when you’re singing a song you remember. But yes, this is a take it or leave it film since it’s pretty average despite the gimmick.
Draginon he/him Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Doing a watch of Joey Graceffa’s Escape the Night since the first three seasons are being shown for free to promote the new season coming soon. Only on season 1 with 1 episode to go. Can’t believe how the other Youtubers treated Justine when she’s getting ‘eliminated’ since the only person who showed compassion was Joey.

Michael in particular is radically different. He's still kind of a cocky d-bag at times, but he's a lot... less. He's just so over the top in season 1 that he's really unlikeable.

I'll still watch it but I'm not gonna actively look out for it.

Wander89 he/him Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 The SUITS episode of Love, Death & Robots on Netflix is now the only way I can picture the Cosmere being done. They even have giant monsters which would work great for Stormlight!
Draginon he/him Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 Just finished Season 2 of Escape the Night. This was a surprisingly fun romp considering the only people I had watched stuff for were Tyler and Jesse. I felt so bad for Tyler and Liza when they had to do the Gingerbread Woman challenge where they had to eat a bunch of candy and desserts, first by eating everything that was red, followed by everything square and finally eat a whole cake. That was nauseating to watch since I doubt I’d win that. Season 3 here I come! This has a bunch of Youtuber’s I’ve actually watched stuff from from Safiya to Rosanna and MatPat
Wander89 he/him Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 I know it's getting such bad reviews but I watched Annabelle Come Home and, whilst it sit. most definitely not as scary to jumpy as the other two, was okay. Just that, okay. Not necessarily bad but I feel I expect more the Conjuring Universe
NottTheBrave he/him Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 Saw Spider-Man: Far From Home last night, and really dug it! I wouldn't say it's quite as great as Homecoming, which I believe is the second best spidey film, after Into the Spider-verse. However, it's still my next favorite, so I really enjoyed it. Jon Watts manages to continue to nail the characters, to the point the good spidey stuff often isn't even needed for the film to be enjoyable. Peter and MJ's budding romance and awkward chemistry is constantly delightful to me. Ned has plenty to do, and I loved what they did with Betty in this one. Jake Gyllenhaal is great too, especially given certain events. he's fantastic at being a great actor playing a guy whose not a great actor. There are certain scenes that feel off performance wise, and as anyone who know mysterio might guess, it's because he's full of it. His performance is layered so well that his "struggle" to nail the emotional speeches Beck gives about his dead family are so good, because Beck himself isn't a great actor and can't actually nail his speeches convincingly. It makes for a lot of fun to watch for his slips on either a re-watch, or informed first viewing. They also did an awesome job conveying Mysterio's illusions!
Kestrel she/her Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 I failed. I started rewatching Parks and Rec (again) I'm going to be that person who gets a call from Netflix asking if I'm okay.
Draginon he/him Posted July 5, 2019 Posted July 5, 2019 Finished watching season 3 of Escape the Night. It was a fun one with a bunch of Youtubers I actually know about (Rosanna, Matpat, Safiya, Colleen and Guava Juice) though I wasn’t happy with who gets all the way to the end. Manny and Nikita got on my nerves between Manny’s ‘Okay we get it, you’re gay’ way of acting (I’m okay with LGBT but the way he was doing it got pretty annoying considering about half the cast in all three seasons is somewhere on the LGBT spectrum and he’s the only one to keep showing it off like being gay is going out of style while everyone else tends to bring it up only when it’s pertinent or for a joke between themselves) and Nikita’s general mean girl shtick along with calling everyone a slontze which got old by the end of episode 1 and considering she survives the night shows how unfun she was.
Wander89 he/him Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 Stranger Things is such a great damnation TV series. 1
NottTheBrave he/him Posted July 9, 2019 Posted July 9, 2019 (edited) Yep, I binged Stranger Things 3 twice, and am now doing a full series re-watch. I love that show so much! Such great characters! Edited July 9, 2019 by NottTheBrave 1

Use the Falchion Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 After roughly three-to-four weeks, I've finished my binge of Brooklyn 99. And what a binge it was. The show is phenomenal and brilliant, and it might be one of my favorite comedy shows/sit-coms of all time. Next week I'll probably start Stranger Things 3 and Agents of SHIELD. 1
urrutiap Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Im all caught up on Walking Dead on Netflix along with Disenchantment. Now I need to watch Ash Vs Evil Dead Season 3 on Netflix along with Stranger Things Season 3
Draginon he/him Posted July 17, 2019 Posted July 17, 2019 Finally getting around to finishing Chojin Sentai Jetman. I only have 3 discs left so I want to finish this show.
Draginon he/him Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 Finished watching Chojin Sentai Jetman. I can definitely see why people like this season, though I wouldn’t call it my favorite season at this point. Things get really real in this season compared to the other Super Sentai seasons I’ve watched, as in civilians actually die instead of everyone getting rescued, to the point it makes you go “This is a kids show!?!?” It even ends on an ambiguous note where Black Condor is stabbed by a purse snatcher and you don’t know if he dies from his wound or not (he doesn’t reveal it to his teammates because he doesn’t want to ruin Red Hawk and White Swan’s wedding) but the much later season Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger eventually reveals that he did indeed die. Even the fates of the villains is horrible (one is sent to the psych ward, one is stabbed by the boss, one dies a warriors death and the boss has a lot of blood coming from his mouth when killed by the rangers) Well my next watch will be less graphic since I’m doing Adventure Time Seasons 7-‘10’
NottTheBrave he/him Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 The Dark Crystal and all it's special features. 2
