Wetlandernw is one of the beta readers for WoR.

I think it is Szeth or Dalinar who wrote it. As for problems with Szeth scratching it using stone, remember he frequently cuts through stone with his blade. If he was that hung up on it, I'm fairly sure he could still be very successful in his fighting without cutting out chunks of stone walls to use as weapons.

Fair enough. I guess he has a "I'm already damned to the second-lowest level of hell, blasphemy time!" attitude at this point.

She wasn't talking about that at all, but something different that comes up later in the book.

Thanks.  I notice that you're not denying that a male wrote it.  But it is good to know not to count that as evidence.  Catching all the jumped conclusions around here seems like a Sisyphean task, so I appreciate the correction.

nah who killed Asmodean is closer to who killed Gaz. But atleast he's been honest and hasnt told us there are clues as to who did it.

Well ... ok .. but if in 3-4 years he starts telling us "Oh, you still don't know? I thought it was obvious by now." we reconsider, ok?

The next clue came on the walls. I did not ignore this sign, but neither did I grasp its full implications.

I think that this statement implies something which I'm not sure someone has pointed out yet. 'walls' not 'wall'

This to me would say that either there are more messages to come - or the message has been carved in more places than just Dalinar's room.

Hmmn I hadn't thought of there being more messages, makes sense; and it ties well with the theory that Dalinar might be the one writing the messages, as a side affect of either the visions he sees/possible nehel bond.

Renarin or Dalinar learning to write in ghyphs ( That oddly I allways kind imagine that would be like write in Chinese) ?

I know someone else probably posted this, but I have a feeling that Dalinar wrote it in his sleep. As I can't be bothered reading through six pages to find someone who also posted this, I'll just post it. When they say 'seeing the future is of the Voidbringers' perhaps that is a misinterpretation - Honor even said at the end of TwoK that 'Cultivation was better at seeing the future than I was'. I think this means it is just an area where Honor is unskilled. Perhaps Cultivation was trying to warn him of something?

It was most likely Renarin - he started writing right before the everstorm hit and he said he's been seeing the future, he had access to every place where they found writings and he knows glyphs, so there.

I firmly believe it Renarin and scrolled through this whole post and didn't find anyone else who thought that (and explained why) until the last post so boo for not being first :D .

In my head, this proves it:

"I can see it," Renarin answered feverishly, his voice echoing in the chamber. Ardents who had been studying part of the murals looked up at him. "I  can see the furture itself. Why? Why, Almighty? Why have you cursed me so?" He screamed a pleading cry, then stood and cracked somethign against the wall. A rock? Where had he gotten it? He gripped the thing in a gauntleted hand and began to write.

Shocked, Shallan took a step toward him. A sequence of numbers?

All zeros.

"It's come," Renarin whispered. "It's come, it's come, it's come. We're dead. We're dead. We're dead...."

Sounds like the end of a countdown to me. :)

...Can I offically add that this plot point confused me? Like, a lot?

I agree with Wolverine; that passage seemed to suggest that Renarin was responsible for writing the numbers. But I was sure that there was at least one occasion where it was set-up like a locked room mystery, where the only person in the room was Dalinar and the only person who could have written them was Dalinar. If nothing else, it seemed a little odd to me that absolutely no one noticed Renarin entering or leaving Dalinar's room, particularly since Dalianr's seizures became camp gossip.

Was there something I missed or misinterpreted?

I can't find it at the moment, but I believe I recall Brandon confirming that it was Renarin writing on the walls.
