You probably built it on an ancient viking burial ground though. Or I am just haunting you because it is fun.

Let it be known my mother said to my father, "Do you think Twi is an even worse dog owner than we are?" right in front of me. Let it also be known she didn't have the decency to admit it.

And she wonders why I hate living here.

Ouch. If it makes you feel better, as far as i can tell, the only "bad" act of dog keeping you're guilty is letting Bruce near your mother.

I'm pretty sure she said that because he made another mess on the carpet, after several weeks of progress. What I think is going on is that my dad is home, his nagging and criticizing is getting on my nerves, and Bruce is getting back at him in the way that makes him angriest. Being a dog, he just doesn't realize that the way he chooses to stick up for his alpha reflects badly on me.

For some reason, I was able to safely install steam, but I can't play any of the games that I'd previously downloaded to my account

If the game doesn't have a Linux version, Steam won't let you play it.

And lots of real estate?

...a fair amount, which I had to mortgage some, then all of to pay fees on my brothers' hotel-festooned spaces. I had $4 at one point, but survived long enough to have 2 whole spaces un-mortgaged and $6. My theme tune through this whole thing was "I Will Survive."

What ThirdGen said.  BUT...there are a variety of Windows emulators available, as well as the ability to create a virtual machine on your laptop that runs Windows.

But who really wrote Shakespeare? Did Bacon write Shakespeare? Doubtful, for as tasty as Bacon is, it has never shown itself to fry in creative juices... just its own fat.

Did Oxford write Shakespeare? Once again, it's doubtful for I do not recall a single use of the Oxford comma in the entire Shakespearean canon.

After analyzing the evidence, I believe that Shakespeare was not written. It was neither created, and it can not be destroyed. It arrived from the Elizabethian dimension in the late 16th century in a hole of space-time caused by the Satanic rites of the last tribe of Neanderthals.

It will one day spell doom for our world.

Does this rite involve shaking a spear?

So it is an Elder Scroll?

And was it a Dewmer God Robot, a Thalmor plot or CHIM that removed the elves and beastfolk from Mundus and reshaped the continents?

And which Prince calls themself Morzathoth?

EDIT: Calling it now, Calamity is Alduin.

So The King in Yellow came from the same ritual that created Shakespeare! It all makes sense now!

... this means we need to rewrite Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet and add Elder Gods, doesnt it?

So, on Reddit someone asked the same question I've asked before: why doesn't Santa use his phenomenal magic powers to better the world in a way beyond delivering presents?

Someone posted this response.

Do you know how many shamans died sealing him up in the North? We managed to get his manifestations down to once a year. Fortunately his hunger is easily sated on the first day. If there was ever a second day, though...

Merry Christmas!

I think the forum family is coming together now. Mashadar, Honor and I are triplets, Kobold is big brother, I think Twi was designated big sister, Kaymyth is mom...

Yay! I've been given an official spot within the forum family!

*celebrates*  :)
