Patar he/him Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 (edited) I, like many others on here, am a HUGE Marvel fan. I've seen all of the movies, and while getting my hands on comics is kinda tough, I read what I can (Not entirely caught up on Agents of Shield, I'll need to change that). I also loved the Daredevil show on Netflix. For those of you who don't know, Marvel will be producing a few more TV shows on Netflix. Along with Daredevil Season 2, there will also be a show for Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. Jessica Jones will arrive November 20th, and a new trailer was recently released. And it looks WAY more disturbing than I had thought it would be. Seriously, Daredevil was pretty dark and gritty, but man, Jessica Jones looks like it will put Daredevil to shame. Just watch it for yourselves, but like I said, it's pretty brutal. Regardless, I'm still incredibly hyped. I loved Daredevil, and I'm looking forward to seeing what they do in the future. Anyone else excited for Jessica Jones? Edit: Also, 100th post. Yay. Edited October 24, 2015 by patar365 2
Mailliw73 he/him Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 There's the link for those who don't have it. Wow. I'm currently working on Daredevil, so I probably won't come back here until I finish, but wow. This is dark. A mind controller can be very dark. In the Oregon RP, I have a mind controller, but I nerfed him so that even when he's super evil, it's limited. But I am also excited for this! 1

Kinda reminds me of Simon from the Halloween RP, if it had gone anywhere he would have shaped up to be pretty similar. Looks pretty good though, definitely going to give it a watch.
Delightful Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 With daredevil and now this....::marvel might actually get me to watch something resembling horror.
Argent he/him Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 The trailer looks promising. I don't actually know anything about Jessica Jones, but it doesn't look like I need to. I just hope for some Easter eggs and/or tie-ins with the rest of Marvel's universe. 2
Briar King Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 I'm sure there will be since we got them in DD if you looked hard enough. I didn't notice some.
Delightful Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 I'm sure there will be since we got them in DD if you looked hard enough. I didn't notice some.I definitely remember a "what happened in NY" reference, and also something like "I'm not hulk".
Mailliw73 he/him Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 There's also brief things like "I was hoping you would be one of those billionaire playboys" and things about flying, iron suits.
azninvasion99 he/him Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 I read the comic that this is based on (Alias by Brian Michael Bendis) and this shows a lot of promise. I can't wait to see Tennant play the Purple Man, I've always wanted to see him do a full on villian role ever since Goblet of Fire.
Patar he/him Posted November 19, 2015 Author Posted November 19, 2015 There was another trailer released about a week ago, so it isn't really new, but I just saw it for the first time. As with the first one, it is pretty brutal, but it still looks very promising. All episodes will be put on Netflix tomorrow, so I'm really excited for that. I suppose we can discuss the show here. 1

Patar he/him Posted November 19, 2015 Author Posted November 19, 2015 This show and Fallout 4 are the two main reasons I'm looking forward to going home for Thanksgiving break. Oh, and I suppose seeing my family again too. 1

DSC01 he/him Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 I am seriously considering setting my alarm for 3 AM and starting my binge then. I did that for Daredevil. No reason I shouldn't do the same for Miss Jones.
Mailliw73 he/him Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Tomorrow?! I probably won't get to start until after the Thanksgiving weekend, but I'm excited!
azninvasion99 he/him Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Looking forward to start the binge tomorrow afternoon, doing a marathon with friends. Looked at the ratings from IGN reviews and they are very promising. I can't wait for this, the short clips that Marvel released...oh man. Kilgrave is all sorts of creepy.
DSC01 he/him Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 First two episodes down. Kilgrave is definitely creepy, and he's not even in the episodes, really. You get a real sense of dread about his character. The end of the first episode... Well, you'll know what I mean if you've seen it.
Voidus Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Marathonning it pretty hard, bout halfway through the season and not remotely tempted to stop so I guess that's a recommendation from me.
DSC01 he/him Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Just finished it. When Daredevil came out, I said that it was probably the best superhero show ever, and Jessica Jones is certainly more of the same. One could argue that it's not exactly a superhero show, but even so... Great series.
Charononus Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Great series, only real criticism is that I wish they had read mistborn about push and pulls involving weight. A few of the fight scenes drove me nuts watching because while she was strong, she would have been pushed back more.
Briar King Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Only on ep3 and I must say I'm not really feeling it so far. I'm sure it ll get better but as I have 0 knowledge of JJ I can't really know what to compare her to for her comic self. I've just been bored but I think that will change after a bit.
+Slowswift Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Sorry. But I couldn't do it. Too... um, sensual. 1
SmurfAquamarineBodies he/him Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 So I'm up to episode 6 and it is beginning to irritate me because I don't get why she didn't just tell Luke the truth. Not at the last moment but as soon as he started to believe in Killgrave ( loving him btw. He is my favourite character so far. ). Telling him sooner would have shown true remorse and she could have used that to gain an ally against him. Seems very stupid in my mind.
Left he/him Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Sorry. But I couldn't do it. Too... um, sensual. Haha, good to know. I've been reading through this thread and was just getting ready to ask about that and violence/darkness.
