Orlion Blight he/him Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 "The Elements of Harmony can starburst the Cylons back to the Vorlon homeworld, where it's safe." - Wesley Crusher To quote Captain Jean-Luc Picard, "Shut up, Wesley!" 3
Zathoth Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Thus Spake Link; The Hero Of Cheese: Lets dddduel, with guns. I dont know... I should start an avant garde art movement called Cheesism, just to pretend it never happened after six months... 1
Quiver he/him Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 There's a new Jekyll/Hyde drama starting this week. I was thinking about it, and this line of dialogue just occurred to me. "Mister Jekyll! How wonderful to see you again!" "Please my dear, 'Mister Jekyll is my fathers' name. Call me 'Doctor'." 4
+Slowswift Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 I should start an avant garde art movement called Cheesism, just to pretend it never happened after six months... I bet all 6000+ cheese fanatics on this website (including me) would be more than willing. 1
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 And the job in Normal has been filled by someone else. They probably knew what I'd planned for their Normal little town. 3
Zathoth Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 I bet all 6000+ cheese fanatics on this website (including me) would be more than willing. It would be really funny XD Especially the "Pretend it never happened" part XD And the job in Normal has been filled by someone else. They probably knew what I'd planned for their Normal little town. "The Weirdness that came to Normal" The Doom That Came To Sarnath is the Lovecraft story with the funniest name... With jokes such as the above and "The Doom That Didnt Come to Sarnath", my future world tour "The Doom that got completely lost on its way to Sarnath" and the follow up "Where is Sarnath anyway?" 1
Orlion Blight he/him Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 "Where is Sarnath anyway?" It's been years... but I'm pretty sure it's in the Dreamlands, and I believe Randolph Carter passed through there on his quest for Unknown Kaddath to seek the wisdom of the cats that dwell there. 1
Mistrunner Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 (edited) Ripple- happy birthday, and enjoy a song my mom's brothers used to sing for birthdays. As I can't sing it, please imagine a properly mournful tune. Happy birthday, happy birthday. Misery is in the air, people dying everywhere. Happy birthday. Oh happy birthday. In other news, it's rained today! Yay yay yaaay! Edited October 22, 2015 by Mistrunner 4

I will admit, I still havent read either of his longer stories, most likely because they are long. Looks like my nightblack sense of humor would be more appreciated than I thought o.o I have a magic system~ I have a magic system~ And it is based around breath and now I am kind of mad at Brandon for calling the breaths breaths...

Mistrunner Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 (edited) My science teacher used to sing that. Speaking of teachers and birthdays, my brothers' middle school band director made an instrument called the hoseaphone. He'd play happy birthday on it. It was awesome. Also, I started writing my biology notes with HTML. In my notebook. With pencil. I don't know either. Edited October 22, 2015 by Mistrunner 3

I have actually told the forum my birthday, but I think there may be a limit on how many people appear on the front page of the forums or something... Anyway, thank you all for the birthday memes! 2
Mistrunner Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 So I was watching Doctor Who with my mom today. She doesn't trust David Tennant because he played Barty Crouch Jr in Harry Potter. To quote: "This David Tennant always seems to play someone who's kind of crazy, and you know why? Because he looks kind of crazy! When he smiles, he just looks insane!" Me: *about to refute claim* Me: *thinks of profile picture on this website* Me: *agrees* 5
+Slowswift Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 So I finished reading Robison Wells' book Variant yesterday. ... Let's just say that this book has won the dubious honor of being the first to make me curl up in the fetal position and die in a puddle of feels. 1

Claincy he/him Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 We had a rather interesting D&D session tonight. A whole lot of crit successes, a number of crit failures, some entertaining wild magic and a number of generally amusing occurrences. In one particular case we snuck into a cave that a group of orcs were staying in. There were 7 orcs and an ogre present and there were 4 of us at that time (we're level 3 atm). As they didn't detect us we got a surprise round before they could act. At the end of that surprise round the ogre was dead, 6 orcs were dead, the orc chieftain had 2 hp remaining and our bard was bleeding out. (None of the enemies ever got to act, the bard was taken out by some unfortunate wild magic, for the second time and in the exact same way as he had been earlier in the session ). 1
Alfa he/him Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 While I was a player I was fail-hit by our Warlock. Five times in a row. I was a fragile wizard and almost died because of it. 1

TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Just applied for a job in Chicago Oak Park. They wanted one year of working with children in a library, so hopefully they'll accept my years of Sunday School teaching and one year of working with teens in a high school library as a valid substitute. Also, Bruce and Mollie are in the middle of a contest to see who can sit closer to me. Mollie is sitting up against my leg, but Bruce is draped over her so he can put his chin on my lap. Bruno just moved closer to me, but by and large, he seems to think the other two are being petty. I'm not sure how I'll manage to get free in time for work this afternoon. 3
