Well yesterday I finally bought buttons for the coat in my profile picture. It was missing two when I got it at the thriftstore, letting me buy it for 2.50, so I haven't actually been able to wear it yet. Anyway, I got some new buttons that look really nice and I'm going to sew them on during conference today I think.

What happens if two Nicrosil allomants are bursting each other?

If you were to Nicroburst someone giving a Nicroburst to someone else...would the power triple?!

I don't think so.  Two reasons:

1) Nicrosil works basically the same way Duralumin does, which means it compresses the power into one short burst.  It doesn't create any extra power from the metal, it just condenses it into one big power shot.  So forcing Nicrosil into a Nicroburst still wouldn't give the final target any power from nowhere.

2) I'm not sure that actually know the math behind how much Nicrosil/Duralumin enhances things.  And even if it were something as simple as doubling the power, doubling a double is quadrupling, not tripling. :)

To completely change the topic I ended up watching the entire Legend of Korra in one day...

a legend among mere mortals.

Uh, wait, the first season, damnation I mess up words sometimes. Praise me less.

You can still praise me, just a little less.

I hate my mom's blog I hate it I hate it I hate editing it I hate reading it I hate sharing it.

Why does she have a blog? Why do you have to edit it? Why is she set on being so storming annoying?

Why does she have a blog?

Her answer: She likes writing, she wants to share her insight with the world, and a blog is a good way to do it.

My answer: She likes monologuing and blogging allows her to monologue for a page and a half without interruption, and earns her accolades to boot.

Why do you have to edit it?

I am cursed with a natural sense of American English grammar. It made me a good copy editor for a few years in high school and early college, and it translates well to editing her blog. I have to edit it because I live at home, rent-free, and she does so much for me already and I don't do nearly enough, and if I edit her blog for free without protest, she won't remind me of how ungrateful I am.

Why is she set on being so storming annoying?

Your guess is as good as mine.

I hate this week's post especially because it's about how to properly encourage someone who is going through a rough patch. It's actually good advice, but I can't read it without remembering how she "encouraged" me back during my last major bout with depression. She and my dad sat me down and ranted about how my "refusal" to be happy was making them sad, which only made everything worse. And now I'm reading her blog, and I know that she and my dad didn't treat me that way because they didn't know any better. They knew what I needed. They just chose not to give it to me.

Question number 4: Does anyone actually read it?

Do stuff you hate so she wont guilt you into doing stuff you hate, sounds fair...ish...esque...in the same way bathroom writing could be considered literature.
