Oudeis he/him Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Would the Parshendi make good world hoppers? What do you mean? Why would they be any better or worse?

Why would they be any better or worse? Well ive seen a theory multiple times that what investiture you have effects which Shardpools you can Worldhop through, if you can even Worldhop through Shardpools which i dont know if that has been confirmed, so that might be what Curiosity is meaning. 1

Exactly what I was aiming for!
BlackYeti he/him Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 If you were to Hemalurgically spike an Allomantic power into a non-Allomancer, would that person still need to Snap in order to use that power, or would Hemalurgy remove the need to Snap? Is the answer to that question the same, before and after Harmony changed the Snapping process? 1
Localconfusi0n Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Does hitting a Hemalurgic point that kills give the recipient of the spike more power? If so is this because you get a bigger chunk of the Soul?
mail-mi he/him Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Does a more Investiture-poor world make it so its magics are easier to use off-world? Because allomancy seems really easy to use, and it's from investiture-poor scadrial, and it would be impossible to get Stormlight off-world, and Roshar is pretty investiture rich. 1

Maybe the more important consideration is whether the Shards are Splintered or not...
Stormwalker Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Can you steal a hemalurgy-given power with a different spike? For example, if someone had a hidden spike that gave them Allomantic pewter, but, as you thought they had Allomantic pewter innately, you tried to tried to spike them for it in the usual way. Actually, that makes me wonder, can you spike inanimate objects? And If you can, could you then spike another spike?

Well, I think everything has a SpiritWeb, so maybe you can spike anything, though you'd have to know where... But it might also be limited to Invested people/objects. Brandon has said that Hemalurgy has to do something with the blood flowing around too...
Dellexe he/him Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Is it possible to create a Skeletal (Bloodsealing Automaton, kinda like a Lifeless) out of bones Soulcast into rock or metal? - What is Nightblood's sheathe made out of? Aluminum? - Were any of the Mist-Snapped Allomancers Mistborn? - How many Dakhor monks were/are there? - How many Mistborn were around during the events of TFE? - - - I just thought I'd add a few questions..
Kurkistan he/him Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 (edited) Is it possible to create a Skeletal (Bloodsealing Automaton, kinda like a Lifeless) out of bones Soulcast into rock or metal? Yeah, we have a WoB on that. EDIT: Oops, misread your question. That WoB is about Lifeless. Given that WoB, though, I'd hazard a pretty definite "yes", myself. Edited September 3, 2014 by Kurkistan 1
mail-mi he/him Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Maybe the more important consideration is whether the Shards are Splintered or not... Well, if you can figure out the "region code" of the other shardworlds, you can use AonDor on it. But how the heck are you supposed to get Stormlight on Scadrial? And only 1 shard is splintered on Roshar, and 2 on Sel.
Dellexe he/him Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Yeah, we have a WoB on that. - I was asking more about Skeletals from Bloodsealing. I already know that, I'm curious if Skeletals are similar.
Kurkistan he/him Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 - I was asking more about Skeletals from Bloodsealing. I already know that, I'm curious if Skeletals are similar. Yup, figured that out... -I EDITed in a "whoopsie" shortly before you posted.
Dellexe he/him Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Yup, figured that out... -I EDITed in a "whoopsie" shortly before you posted. Haha. I can understand the confusion, I probably shouldn't have put in "like a Lifeless" in my question. - I putting forward these questions because Factpile.com is getting a Cosmere match in a couple weeks. The Cosmere VS Middle Earth. (No Shards/Valar/Illuvatar). It should be a fairly even match as their numbers/troop strength are comparable.
Oudeis he/him Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Well, if you can figure out the "region code" of the other shardworlds, you can use AonDor on it. ?? We have WoB on this? 1
Curiosity he/him Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 ?? We have WoB on this? PLEASE?!?!? AonDor is one of those magics that I don't understand satisfactorily. If you have proof of what you say... It could change everything. (He said with an overdose of melodrama.)
Dellexe he/him Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 "Say a spike was used to kill someone, but didn't pick up a Hemalurgic charge. Could you use Forging to convince the spike it HAD picked up a Hemalurgic charge, and make it a viable spike?" - Infinite powers, anyone? Only requiring the murder glorious sacrifice of a few victims volunteers. It probably wouldn't work, but it would be a big hack to be able to turn anything into a Hemalurgic spike.
mail-mi he/him Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 ?? We have WoB on this? I swear I remember something like that... He said it was possible though.
Oudeis he/him Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 I swear I remember something like that... He said it was possible though. The source would help immensely in this case.
Jo and the Bush all/any Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 If you stuck the right kind ofSpike through someone's Hemalurgic Bindpoint, stealing the Power, but then left the Spike there, would that person still be able to use the Stolen Power?
SmurfAquamarineBodies he/him Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 (edited) If you stuck the right kind ofSpike through someone's Hemalurgic Bindpoint, stealing the Power, but then left the Spike there, would that person still be able to use the Stolen Power I would say yes. Because once the Investiture is in the Spike anyone can use it. Unless the 'take it' point is different to the 'give it point. Lol in replying I managed to confuse myself but because my phone dislikes me ( even though I only brought it last week I can already tell. ) and posted the reply before I was ready I now have to write this reply. ( which has also for some reason confused me ). You know what I give up. Edited September 10, 2014 by SmurfAquamarineBodies 2
Asperity he/him Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 (edited) Besides Dominion and Devotion, what other Shards has Odium Shattered? If he did not Shatter any directly, which other Shard Shatterings has he been involved in? Stealth edit: Add Honor to that list. Edited September 12, 2014 by Kythis
Jo and the Bush all/any Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 does the size of the Spike matter? Could you make an Inquisitor using Hair pins for example? Or does it have to be Obvious, eye destroying spikes?
