Do you mean Alvom? (m as opposed to r-n)

Also, nobody has voted for you yet. So I don't quite get why the language in your post is so strongly defensive, and it makes me more suspicious of you than I was before. That doesn't take away from the validity of your arguments against Alvom, however. Also, a bit of Adamir's 2nd to last post seemed like something I have tried to do when I am falsely accused. So I am going to withdraw my vote from him temporarily and focus on Alvom this cycle. In addition to what PK brought up he was one of the people that voted from me a few times in a row with basically no justification in their posts.

I'm gonna go ahead and put my vote on Mighty Lopen. Not anything really definite to go off of, but if we've had 2 noble couriers, then there should maybe be a decent chance the third was an OC. Especially if he's now corrupted, that would be more advantageous for the conspirators to have this late in the game, somebody who would be able to shut PMs down. That and he kind of seemed flip-floppy on the whole him being trustworthy issue. At first he said it made sense that people shouldn't be 100% trusted just by proving their Role, when there are no safe roles, but then accuses me of just trying to spread paranoia and cast doubt on 'trustworthy' people. I'm just trying to highlight the false-logic of being able to trust somebody 100% when they can't be actually verified. Eliminators telling the truth and earning trust that way is one of their best strategies when they can pull it off and get people to think "____ can't be Eliminator because of _____". In games like these, unless a role or mechanic 100% -- without a doubt -- confirms somebody's alignment, you just can't even be completely positive. Which is the basic essence and point of the game, after all. ;)

I am perfectly willing to be a martyr (once again) for the greater good, so go ahead and lynch me if it appeases you, though it will be another waste of a turn for the village. I just hope everyone learns something useful from it.

The main reason I hadn't revealed my role to anyone besides Clanky was because we already had 2 of our couriers down. Even I didn't think we would have 3 good ones, so after STINK and Alvron died I didn't want to reveal it to anyone since it seemed to me that would automatically make them suspicious of me. Then when PK said I had been corrupted, I figured that it would be okay since I didn't think they would want to corrupt their courier, but now I kind of regret revealing my role since now if anyone wants to get me lynched all they have to do is say "it's very likely he's an eliminator since there probably isn't 3 good couriers." I'm not saying that you're a conspirator because you voted against me, I'm just saying why would an eliminator reveal that he's a courier if it's not even going to confirm him? If I had been an eliminator, I really doubt I would have revealed my role back there, since I would have been conspiring with my allies and because of the way it has garnered attention to me they probably would've advised against it.

I actually agree with you about not being too trusting right now, I just thought it was a bit strange because it seemed like you were very quick to warn people both times. I'll also admit to being a bit scared of you since you are one of the best players left, so I'm trying to be very cautious of you. That being said, you aren't actually very suspicious to me right now, but when I think that, it makes me even more wary of you because I think "if he's such a good player wouldn't he be able to make himself look innocent pretty easy?"

Now, Macen. Is that really all you're going to post? The whole reason I put that vote on you was so you'd explain your suspicions on Araris. You voting for Araris again like that makes me even more suspicious of you. I was going to change my vote to Adamir almost regardless of what you said since I thought we should go ahead and lynch him again. But you're actions so far are beginning to seem more suspicous than Adamir's so I'm going to leave my vote on you.

As I mentioned before. I missed the first few days due to being out of town (had my phone only, so I couldn't analyze much). I have had people who are now dead voice suspicion to me of Araris and he is the only one who hit on most of their lists. I don't have the ability to go back and analyze more of his posts from the past (Work is crazy busy right now), but that's why I'm voting for him. I'm not throwing out more because I don't have more, I Just want people to know I think he is a bad guy.

In the interests of saving my own life, and because it seems statistically unlikely for there to be three Noble couriers, I am switching my vote to TheMightyLopen. I'll be offline for the rest of the night, meaning I won't be able to defend myself. If the person I delivered the code to is an Eliminator, he will stay quiet about it. Dead man's switch - if he doesn't come out and reveal himself as the recipient, my contract will reveal it instead come Day 10, the code included. It will be better for you if you explain what it means now rather than at the end of a pitchfork and torch conga line.

Just in case there is an eliminator Worldsinger I'll say who I think could be eliminators: Adamir, Araris, and Haelbarde. For the fourth one any one of these: PK, Shallan, Gamma. I don't think Alvom is but I could be wrong.

Night 9: Moments of Silence

The lighteyes awoke and gathered in the morning, alarmed yet unsurprised at the death of Klanal.

“We’re doomed!” Owain cried.  “We have barely over half of our original number left; how are we going to survive?”

Caesarae glared at the lighteyes, especially Owain.  “Hopefully by not trying to kill me.”

“Gentlemen, I believe that Efrihm should be our target today,” Eradin said.  “He’s been brought up far too often, but nobody has bothered to do anything about him.”

“I didn’t realize that something needed to be done about me,” Efrihm responded tersely.

The lighteyes stood where they were for several long moments, contemplating their surroundings.  Despite the grim outlook of their situation, the morning was quite beautiful, with lifespren growing around rockbuds and cremlings skittering across the stones.  There would be another highstorm in a few days, but until then, the sky was almost cloudless, the sun shining bright and orange on the horizon.  It was, as many would say in other circumstances, a perfect day.

“I… think that Owain is the culprit,” Maggus spoke, breaking the silence.  “He’s himself admitted to being a courier, and--”

“And is anything wrong with that?” Owain interjected.  “It’s my job!  What am I to do about it?”

“Efrihm’s more suspicious,” Arilir said, nodding to Eradin.  “There’s just something about him that I can’t--”

“So we’re going off of mere hunches now?” Efrihm asked.  “Such hunches have gotten us nowhere so far.  Only facts have done us any good.”

“Fine,” Arilir continued, letting out a brief sigh.  “Let us put out the facts.”

“I think that the fact is that we won’t be able to decide on who to execute today,” Draela Heb yawned, stretching out her arms.  “And frankly, I need a day off to relax from all of this talk of death and killing.  Dalinar can certainly look into it himself, right?”

“I’m not so sure…” Arilir frowned.

“Look,” Draela insisted, “the last time we took a break from the executions, we managed to pick off Wannan the following day.  I think we need more time to enjoy everything and think.”

Most of the nobles nodded, but glared at each other.  The tensions had certainly mounted since the start of this whole debacle, almost ten days ago.  Of course, who knew when it would end… or who would survive…

And so the nobles parted, willing to enjoy the day, but frightened at what the night would hold.

Vote Tally
Efrihm (2): Arilir, Eradin
Owain (2): Maggus, Caesarae
Arilir (1): Mace
Maggus (1): Sheon Idris
Caesarae (1): Owain

Nobody was executed!

Night 9 has begun!  The turn will end in 23 hours and 22 minutes.  Good luck!

"You know," muttered Eradin, "these random executions aren't getting us anywhere fast. As self-appointed camp detective, I feel it is my duty to make sure someone spills the beans." Drawing a wicked-looking implement from his coat, he glanced around, trying to find a worthy suspect to use it on. Unfortunately, the camp was as empty as it was every night.

"I need a volunteer!" Eradin yelled, and felt a hand fall on his shoulder. Turning around, he came face to face with highprince Dalinar. Eying the instrument, Dalinar said softly, "you question the effectiveness of my methods?"

"Uh, yes. I mean, no." Eradin quickly hid the tool before the highprince could get a good look at it. "The executions are working great. I mean, we got one, right?" Under the piercing gaze of the highprince, his mind went blank. "The, uh, weather is nice. I mean, no highstorms have happened in a while. I, uh, gotta go...clean my sword." Eradin rushed off, still feeling the gaze of highprince Dalinar on his back.

Wow. I can practically hear the crickets chirping it's so quiet in hear. Shouldn't we discuss something? Do you guys think I should just not use my courier powers tonight? I could try again and see if they have a artifabrian that corrupted me, but they might just corrupt me for real tonight if they haven't already.

I would also like to point out that Orlok, Alvom, Shallan, and Haelbarde didn't vote yesterday. I'm obviously not counting the inactives since they are..........inactive. Since an innocent is going to die tonight(unless they have Shardplate, which would be funny since we've already had 4 broken), we'll have 14 players left. 10 or 11 are innocent, and 3 or 4 are not. Take away 4 inactives and we have 10 players left. The question is how many inactive players are innocent? I think at least 3 of them if not all of them.

Scenario 1.   1 inactive eliminator and 4 eliminators left would leave 7 active good guys against 3 active evil.

Scenario 2.   0 inacive eliminators and 4 eliminators left would leave 6 active good guys against 4 active evil.

Scenario 3.   1 inactive eliminator and 3 eliminators left would leave 8 active good guys against 2 active evil.

Scenario 4.   0 inactive eliminators and 3 eliminators left would leave 7 active good guys against 3 active evil.

Do you think there are 3 or 4 eliminators left? I'm really not sure. I'm scared that Scenario 2 could be the most likely one, but really I think you guys probably have a better feel for what the numbers are.

Edit: I forgot to add that since the numbers are pretty close regarless of the situation we need to have everyone(or at least all the good guys) voting.

I know I'd like to apologize for not being able to get on here before now. :/ Basically been working/sleeping too much lately, lol.

But yeah, that lynch was rather uninformative, as all we really learned is Lopen doesn't want to die. :P I do hope some of the inactives come back out of the woodworks soon, though. Assuming I survive the night, hopefully I can get on in the morning and actually get a constructive post going.

I didn't vote because when I previously took sides, I picked the wrong one. Also, I don't believe I've voted the whole game. I should have voted, because ties do not help the village, but I don't believe I was on at rollover to break the tie.

Day 9: Backbreaking Work

The rest of the day was quiet, almost unnervingly so, with the remaining nobles each spread out across the warcamps, doing their own things.  The perfect weather from before proceeded into the late evening, many of the nobles in Dalinar’s warcamp choosing to watch the nighttime skies, filled with hundreds of stars, arise over the Shattered Plains.

Arilir, however, chose to spend the evening in a local tavern, sampling their finest foods.

“Would you like to partake in some of our famous chouta?” a Horneater barkeep asked.  “This thing is Soulcast daily!”

“I think I’ll pass,” Arilir said, glancing over at the platter of meat in disgust.  “What is that meat over there?”  Arilir pointed to a large plate behind the barkeep.

“Mmm, this thing is fried skyeel,” the Horneater said, grinning toothily.  “Very delicious.”

“Skyeel?” Arilir asked incredulously.  “You can’t be serious.”

The Horneater looked at Arilir quizzically.  “I am confusion; have you not heard of this thing?”

Arilir blinked.  “Erm, no… What kind of breads do you have?”

“Mmm.”  The Horneater seemed disappointed, but gestured over to a rack of fresh bread.  He took out a long loaf, and set it on the wooden counter in front of him.  “This is fine bread, made fresh.  Has exotic seeds in it, some from out in the western kingdoms.”

“Interesting.  I think I shall have a loaf.”

“Ha!” the Horneater chuckled, his belly rumbling.  “Good choice!”  He looked down at the bread, as if making sure it was still there, and handed it to Arilir.  “That’ll be a firechip.”

Arilir nodded, handing over the ruby sphere, and eagerly accepting the loaf.  He nodded to the jovial Horneater and sat down at a nearby table in the tavern, next to a window.  It was now dark outside, and a few stars twinkled in the light.  Arilir thought he saw a dark spren crawling on the window, with fiery red eyes, but whatever it was -- if it was there in the first place -- suddenly disappeared.

Arilir raised the bread to his mouth, and took a bite.  Peculiar topping, Arilir thought, looking at the top of the bread.  Is that flour?  Suddenly he coughed, letting go of the bread.  For some reason, he was reminded of the night this first began, with Renvas Galad’s death.

“Backbreaker powder!” Arilir shouted, louder than he’d intended.  As he gazed upwards, he saw the Horneater laughing in his direction.

“Airsick lowlander!” the Horneater cackled with glee.  “Sadeas will be proud of my feat.  I’ve always been known to pack quite a culinary punch, after all.”

Arilir groaned as he fell to the ground, the air wavering and swirling around him.  Soon the sound of his heart pumping became the only sound he could hear.  Noo… he thought in distress, as inky deathspren crawled in his field of view, so that he became unable to see.  Soon, his vision blackened out for good.  The poison had run its course.

Arilir was killed by the conspirators!  He was a Noble Brightlord!
Nobody received an extra vote today.

Day 9 begins now and will end in 48 hours.  PMs are now open.  Good luck!

Welp. Araris was going to be my top suspicion this cycle. I went back over the beginning cycles of the game, and looked at voting patterns, but apparently I was dead wrong. I'm going to assume no inactive eliminators, which leaves us at 4-6 active players. Hopefully Bort comes back. And some of our other inactives (of which I freely recognize that I have been one for far too much of this game)

Alright, here's my analysis of all of the remaining players:

Adamir - Has acted and voted suspiciously in earlier cycles, but the incident with the shardplate seems reasonable for a villager. Warning about the Shardplate to try to avoid a wasted lynch seems good to me - wasting a lynch would be excellent for the Eliminator faction. Could still be a ploy to divert suspicion, though. Undecided, leaning towards Team Good

Alvom - No idea here, honestly. His interactions don't give me a consistent read one way or the other. I need to go back and look again. Until then, I'm willing to lynch him if nobody else votes, but I think there are more likely suspects.

Paranoid King - Sent me a PM several cycles back, with some of his suspicions about both Team good and team evil. He had pegged Clanky, Araris, Shallan, and myself as good, and thought that Alvron, Adamir, Haelbarde, and Venture Mistborn were evil. On the good list, he's been right at least 75% of the time, and I'm leaning towards 100%, while at least one of his Evil projections was wrong. I'm leaning toward Adamir being wrong, too. Verdict - undecided, leaning towards Team Good. (His accuracy on good and lack thereof on evil could be explained by being an Eliminator and trying to throw me off, but I find it less likely.

TheMightyLopen - It's unlikely, but possible (knowing Ren's reputation) that there are 3 village couriers. However, his actions seem pure villager. Verdict: Undecided but leaning Villager. If he is good, it is exceptionally likely that there is a 4th courier, and that they are evil.

Shallan - Based on some of Hero's comments, I think she's probably good.

Gamma - not active enough to get a read on. I have lingering suspicions, due to his performance in the last quick fix, but nothing definite. Undecided, leaning towards Eliminator, but could easily not be. I want your analysis, though, and I want it this cycle. I will request an extension until I get it.

Haelbarde - No way to read - hasn't talked enough. PK suspects him. I think I do too. The interaction with Hero could easily have been a setup, trying to play off our sympathies as a poor soul who had been taken in by the dissembling conspirator. Verdict: Undecided, leaning towards team Evil.

Macen - Hasn't done a whole lot. His suspicion of Araris was entirely due to now-deceased players expressing their concerns. Almost inactive. Honestly, leaning towards team Evil, but still undecided.

Orlok - inactive, no read

Venture - inactive, no read

Feligon - inactive, no read

Silver Dragon - inactive, no read

Bort - inactive, almost certain WRT team good. While a WGG is possible, if he is an eliminator, we don't need to worry about him right now because of inactivity. Focus on active eliminators, then scrub the inactive ones.

EDIT: I think my vote today is going to Haelbarde

Also, realized I hadn't said anything about Alvom
