ChullRider he/him
Does anybody remember that old BIONICLE LEGO theme? Not the new one, but the old one. You know, the one with the epic story, amazing art, and awesome figures? If not, look over here for some information about it. And maybe here for the comics and story serials (Click on "Pictures" then "Comics" for the comics, and click on "Serials" for the story serials). Let's discuss this amazing story and maybe post pictures of MOCs (My Own Creations)! I guess I'll start the discussion. What's your favorite mask? Mine would probably be either the Kanohi Kraahkan, mask of shadows, or maybe the Kanohi Olmak, mask of dimensional gates.
ParadoxicalZen he/him
I got the original Toa Mata and Bohrok when they first came out over here in the UK (but this was when i was lacking severe higher mental functions and so as a result of child simplicity, they broke...beyond repair) then a few years later i started collecting the Nuva and acquired the Bohrok Kal whilst on holiday abroad when i was like...11/12 so i collected them up to the Toa Inika sets/Voya Matoran/Piraka and the big sets but then stopped, even abusing the Lego replacement part service to eventually rebuild the original Mata sets and the turaga ones too As for Kanohi...it would be a toss up between Matoro's Tryna (Reanimation) or Brutaka's Olmak (dimensional gates) Edited July 31, 2015 by ParadoxSpren

I've always loved the Toa Mata and Bohrok. As for Matoro's Tryna, that one's always been pretty cool. Fun fact, its power of reanimation was considered immoral, and was not typically worn by toa. However, the Kanohi Ignika gave it to Matoro as a test of character.
Coinshooter he/him
I'm still a huge fan of the original series (that new stuff makes me pretty unhappy because of the story changes), and especially the story. I was always a fan of the Air Toa, and as for my favorite mask... I always loved the Mask of Time, especially since I got one with a limited edition Vahki that I got way back when.

I thought the story got a little 'out-there' and farfetched past the Mahri stage, which to be fair, is understandable considering the hype was dying down (I do miss MOCing though, some the designs were wowza) I love the slizers and roboriders sets as well but bionicle was a whole other level. I wish there was a new technic series similar to it, I miss making things
TheMightyLopen he/him
Me and my brother would get lego magazine when we were kids! We loved Bionicle and Knights Kingdom! We got some Bionicle action figures. I think we had the green one, black one, and the blue one! Those things were awesome! I can't remember there names, but I really loved the black one.

The black one, assuming it's from 2001, is Onua. Also, Knights Kingdom. I remember that! Good times!

I actually only got into it just as the Hordika/Visorak story was dying down and Voya Nui was starting. But dang did I get obsessed. Favorite mask... aesthetically speaking, the Avohkii. Power-wise is harder... I love the Inika's masks a lot, and the Mask of Clairvoyance was pretty cool.
Claincy he/him
Oh wow, that's a blast from the past. I remember how cool they were back then My memory is a bit patchy, but I definitely got some of the Toa Mata, might have got them all but I can't remember for certain. I definitely had Lewa (my first I think), Onua and Kopaka. I *think* my brother and I got all of the Bohrok as well though I could be wrong. (We also had a couple of the small ones but not many. A bohrok va and one of the original happy meal little guys I think and or one of the Kabaya) At the time I found it very cool that their limbs moved when you turned the dial, and the way the Bohrok moved when you pushed their button, particularly how they would throw their krana if you left the canopy unclipped =D And the combining, the combining was cool. I never really got into the lore of it, but I did have lots of fun playing with them I think we still have them somewhere actually, might try to find them sometime. (I did have to look up the names, it's been too long for me to remember them all.)
ParadoxicalZen he/him
What was the best MOC you ever made? I adapted/redisigned various part designs from Makuta and other big sets and produced my own giant model but ones I'm particular proud was combining the main aspects of the Toa Nuva with parts from the Hordika and metru matoran to produce revamped ones Edited August 2, 2015 by ParadoxSpren
WayneSpren he/him
Yes. I loved those a few years ago. Got two Toa lego toys sitting on a shelf over there...
Kairos he/him
I was so into these. Loved the storylines, they had so much background. I really like the original Tahu mask(can't remember the name) as far as aesthetics, but the Olmak's powers seemed the best.

Evil_Reptile
I love Bionicles! I've got so many of them lying around. I don't actually have any of the original Toa, but I have several of the Toa Hordika, a couple Toa Metru, two Bohrok Tahnok, and a Bohrok Tahnok-kal. I've also got two Rahkshi. Personally, I reeeeeally like the Bohrok . My favourite mask is either Kraahnak or Crast. Grey Knight
Bionicle is my childhood. I can't even remember all the times I would just get out our tub of old bionicle pieces and make one. I am sad they stopped making Bionicle. I really love the lore and story.

I can't even remember all the times I would just get out our tub of old bionicle pieces and make one. I am sad they stopped making Bionicle. I really love the lore and story. Actually they did bring it back, but it's not nearly as interesting or in-depth as it used to be. Some people say that it will get better, but nobody truly knows.
+Slowswift he/him
Eh, bringing this back, because why not? Might post some MoC's later, anyways. But my real purpose here is this: Especially at 4:20. Cue getting smashed in the chest by the brick of nostalgia.

Wyndlerunner he/him
Don't know whether this is considered necroposting... But, Oh my goodness do I love Bionicle! Only really got into it around it's first ending, but took a deep dive into G1's lore and set collecting around 2011. Bionicle really cemented my love of storytelling, and really proved that unusual combinations can really work at times (I mean, Tribal robots? that's not a combination you see everyday!) Favorite Toa has got to be Lewa, and favorite mask has got to be the Kakama. I actually still MOC to this day, might post some here if I can figure out where to put them... Also, The Soundtracks for the first 3 films can be bought or streamed on any digital music service.
ParadoxicalZen he/him
Kind of is, but if you only just found the topic then I *think* it should be ok. I've actually been musing over this myself as after seeing teaser spoiler for the hulkbuster Avengers Infinity War set, I now want a bionicle-esque lego set based on the Hulkbuster style build....cause who doesn't love giant robots
Wyndlerunner he/him
@ParadoxicalZen Which Hulkbuster are you talking about? The big "collecter's edition" one, or the standard retail edition? Because for the collector's edition I can totally second that opinion.
The One Who Connects he/him
I got involved with Bionicle midway through it's run. C.A Hapka's books(the ones that led up to the 1st movie) were in my elementary school's library, and on it went from there. My first sets were the Inika. Toy-wise, my favorite would probably be.. Ehlek. Story-wise, it's be Teridax. The craftiness, the master plan aspect, they just.. struck a chord with me. (I'd consider Teridax as the point where I reached the "liking Villains better" phase of boyhood ) Edited March 20, 2018 by The One Who Connects Edit: Post 3K!!!
