Cool shirts!

So, this may make most sense to the SE players here, but in my dorms, we play the game of Werewolf every Wednesday. (It's a lot like Elimination here or Mafia, another card game.) I led discussion so much that I was targeted by the werewolves, bodyguard, and silencer all in one night. So I was attacked, protected, and not allowed to speak the next day. I managed to lead a lynch on a werewolf on the first day and I led the lynches on two others with only one mislynch. I died before the last one was killed, but he was lynched right after I was killed. :) I'm quite pleased and wish I could do this in SE. :P

I LOVE WEREWOLF

Never played Werewolf, but Mafia is one of my all-time favorite group games. Especially if I get to be the narrator, or another drama geek is the narrator. That's when it goes from simply "During the night, the Mafia killed Jon. Who are you putting on trial?" to "Two hours after sunset, Jon was walking his dog when suddenly, out of nowhere, he was hit by an eighteen-wheeler! Then, a nineteen-wheeler ran over the eighteen-wheeler to cover up the evidence! His dog escaped. We're still not sure how, but he has been adopted by a loving family with three kids. Unfortunately, the dog cannot tell us who the driver was, so it's up to YOU!"

Reminds me of the Town Called Salem game online (the first kind of elimination game i've played) then i recently played Werewolf. Never come across Mafia though.

Just finished my interview with Anchorage. I really, really, really hope I didn't sound like a blathering idiot.

I wouldn't worry about it, you've successfully completed another interview and it is now time for ice cream!

Mail-mi, Join SE!!! ;)

Twi, Werewolf is essentially the same but with many, many more roles. Those are the best narrators.

I wish I could, but I'm waaaay too busy, and it's pretty different from the other forum where I sometimes play mafia, because their days are like 2 weeks or something like that, so you actually have time to slack off and treat it more like a game and less like something you have to do.

You're right. I'll reward myself later on. I just...during the interview, I realized how much I want this.

When do you hear back from them?

No point worrying now because they're a nothing more you can do. Just hope and pray.

I'm easily excited. I just hoorayed cause I was looking at The Weather Channel app and it's saying the low tomorrow and Sunday is supposed to be in the 50's. Come on fall bring on winter!

You should totally come by the Sanderson Elimination board and play a game some time! Or GM. The write-ups would certainly be interesting.

Hope you get a positive result from your interview (and maybe you could run mafia games at the library?)

So a while ago, I got this letter from a health insurance company I used to have. They were the target of a cyberattack and were letting me know that I have 24 months free subscription to an identity protection site. Since the enrollment period ends at the end of this month, I figured I'd sign up, not because I actually think my identity will get stolen, but more just as both peace of mind and to satiate my curiosity about my credit score, which I haven't checked in far, far too long.

Now, I knew that my credit score wouldn't be bad. The last time I checked, about 4 years ago, it was around 750, and that's about what I'd expected it would be at. I mean, sure, I've made a couple payments on my cell phone bill a couple days late, but I'm normally very good about paying things on time with auto payments and such. And I knew that my credit score was high enough that if I go in to apply for a loan, I never have any issue in getting one nor getting a fairly low interest rate. But I was still curious about what exactly it was.

It went up. I won't specify by how much but I was somewhat in shock. I had to take a picture and send it to my dad, who is the reason my score is that high. The financial wisdom I have is all due to him. Parents are great*. :)
