So today we went to the Casula Powerhouse Art Gallery as an excursion! 

We made a bunch of pasteups (Mine are the teacups with the hands coming out of them, the hand with the eye in it and the gramophone guy)

These ashtrays were in hospitals back when smoking wasn't seen as a bad thing. The artist here did a thing on them because her father had been critically ill, and in the hospital people would smoke around him, worsening his condition.

Accidentally had the camera settings on something else and took this cool pic by accident xD

This exhibit is weird to explain. That's a circuit they added themselves to project the sounds of a forest, with bits of that forest around and a little monitor with a video of the forest playing. (I thought it just looked cool  )

Ok so the next one is really good.

When cancer patients get laser treatment, they have to get a face and neck mask and have to be strapped to the scanner for 30 minutes each day to allow the lasers to target the cancer cells. These are some of their masks which they personalised.

(the last few were made from breaking up toys and painting and gluing them to the mask)

Then lastly we went out to check out the designated Street Art Silo

Lindsey Stirling is touring again! Instead of KC she's going to Lawrence, but it's only a 40 minute drive and the venue is twice as big as last time! I AM EXCITE!

@Calderis @Mestiv Saw It this morning myself. Very good horror film. Unsettling in the way of some of the best King vibes I've ever had from an adaptation. 

This was at the theatre we went to see It at.

Hurricane Irma seems to be slowly moving further away from us (well, the track is). We learned in 2004 never to trust the tracks, but it’s still nice to see.

Sorry for the double post, but it seems appropriate in this case. Irma did not miss us, but despite taking a fairly direct hit, we have only minor damage to our shed, none to the house, and we’ve had power at our in-laws house, where we stayed during the storm, since just about 24 hours after the storm passed through. Considering their neighbors still don’t have power, we’re very grateful.

Ever since I saw flipping Yondu in the first movie. I was like "NAAAH It can't be the same, for one thing his headpiece thing is different!"

But then he flipping gets the prototype and I'm staring at it in awe going HELL YES, then he dies and I'm like welp.

BUT THE ORIGINAL GOTG I STORMING KNEW IT. I've been waiting for it for so long, and the way the executed it was so goood.
