Since then I’ve consumed precious little recreational reading aside from it. I am an avid, deep theorist, especially on the mechanical & technical aspects. I absolutely love how deep, thought out, logical and interconnected Sanderson’s lore is. I also love how he represents neurospiciness, having such myself. And his philosophical thought challenges are well thought out and can be sublime. A little while ago, I joined the Discord to be able to ask questions and theorize with like minded individuals. Recently, I was directed to these forums, as she felt I’d be even better served interacting here. (Seems I already had an account, but I have not really been active). I’ve had quite a few discussions over on the Discord, and am exited to have more here. I’ve read almost the all Cosmere material twice. I have not read White Sand at the suggestion of said friend and some in the Discord. It’s not his best work, has little impact on the Cosmere so far, and I was impatient to progress… I am in the middle of my reread of Wind and Truth If I come off a little random or jump the gun some such, my sincerest apologies. Scadrial's cultural evolution and magical possibilities are by far the most intriguing to me out of the Cosmere. Speaking of which, which of the three Metallic Arts is your favorite, what's an aspect of each you would like to see explored in Era 3, and which single part of each system is the most intriguing to you above the others?

I am firmly of the belief that attributes are tools to be used in the best situation for them, and are to be moderated per that situation. I find myself averse to being locked in to the rigid totality of any given Shard's Intent. I looked through the list and for each Shard, Even with reasons to take ones I would choose, I also see reasons how the Intent could get out of hand or even be wrong. I'd probably go the Hoid route and refuse, then start collecting means of accessing each Shard's magic. (Though probably not for his reason). If I had to choose? Off the cuff, I'd probably be most likely to take Cultivation. I feel like I most connect with the idea of helping people reach their full potential through cultivating their inner strength and attributes, as well as pruning what's holding them back. 1

Allomancy: Favorite Aspect: End-Positive Era 3: Steel sight for use in night vision Feruchemy: Favorite Aspect: Hard to steal stored attribute Era 3: Awakened metalminds for computing Era 3: Generational metalminds (bequeath attributes as inheritance by making use of partial un-keying) Hemalurgy: Favorite Aspect: Abilities can be given to anyone Era 3: Micro-Hemalurgy for use with medical / therapeutic transplants. Imagine drives for abilities just like a blood drive. We could store up healing for use during intense, dangerous surgery. Perhaps collect bits of sense-enhancement for the blind or hearing impaired. Not to mention the origin story for one of the most important worldhoppers - Khriss; and a possible big-bad - Autonomy. Please see This thread for options and ideas. I think it is a good story and well worth the time. I also beleive that the Visual Ars Arcanum is worth a look, even if you don't like GNs in general - best part of the Omnibus release.
