Wrath does not stop.

As he passed them, 209845 stepped forward to stop him, but hesitated. It turned to look back at the Cloud ranks. They were silent. Apprehensive. No, they were afraid. They were still afraid of Oxy. 209845 had spent its whole existence fearing their wrath. It would do so no longer.

Instead, 209845 simply leaned towards Wrath, and whispered in his ear.

"Show them."

The sentinels fell to the ground, crushed. Just as they began to heal, a group of viruses came over and finished them off.

The voice suddenly froze. The Cloud Megamind, who had taken control of the hundreds of Cloud agents in the chamber and was using them as vessels for its voice, stopped to consider. It seemed the being Oxymoron had somehow regained its sense. Which made it suddenly the most dangerous being in the chamber, no, the planet. These cards had to be played right.

The Megamind called off the Cloud agents, pulling them back to the mouth of the tunnel, and called for a cease to the hostilities.

...

Tired, beaten, weary, yet pulsing with newfound emotion, 209845 watched as the Cloud forces pulled back, and instructed its viruses to do the same. Slowly, the two forces began to peel apart, leaving a rift in the center of the tunnel. In a normal battlefield, the ground would be littered with bodies. But neither the viruses nor Cloud agents had strictly physical forms, and so they dissolved when struck down, leaving the land oddly barren. Nothing left to serve as a testament to the violence.

Eventually, the two forces settled on opposite ends of the tunnel. Guarding the entrance, flanks of Cloud agents waited for orders. Across the tunnel, they were stared down by the only force that they feared; the almighty Oxymoron, standing triumphantly before the rest of the party. Behind even them, thousands of viruses growled a low rumble, prepared to leap back into battle. And dangling between the two armies, a lone statue, stood 209845.

The booming voice returned.

"WE WISH YOU NO HARM, OH MIGHTY OXYMORON. THESE MORTALS HAVE DELUDED YOU; THEY ARE NOT YOUR FRIENDS. WHAT THE CLOUD IS DOING ON THIS WORLD IS ESSENTIAL TO THE PROTECTION OF THE FRAMEWORK. STAND DOWN, SO THIS THREAT CAN BE DEALT WITH."

Quote

I am just realizing how effective Oxy can be.

"Ha. Deluded? I know you. I know the Cloud. Us Primals, we have been watching. Silently, from outside the timeline. We usually see the Cloud as a... nuisance. Maybe something worth preserving. And yes, The Cloud does do many good things. And yet. Every single time one of us has interfered, with anything, it has almost always been because of something the Cloud did. While maybe not an evil organization, the cloud is most definitely flawed. Deeply flawed. The Framework, I've seen it. I have seen universes where the framework is preserved. The Framework, as you call it, is always changing. I have see the end of all worlds. the end of all universes. It is always because of the Framework." Oxy says, finishing his rant. He then looks intently at one of the sentient beings with the cloud. It screamed. It slowly dissolved. They could sense that the pure terror of whatever they saw was what was dissolving them. "Besides, I don't need to deal with you. My friends, these mortals and" he looks at Wrath and Spirit "Whatever those 2 are. They can defeat you just fine."

209845 stood silently alongside her, and waited. Two beings, one god-turned-mortal, one Web construct with newfound emotion, faced the horde. They were both contradictions. Their fates trembled on the edge of a knife. And yet, for an instant, this moment existed. An instant that was an eternity.

The Ambassador, trapped in a body of rock, was utterly confused.

As the flame cut down the quiet tunnel, 209845 stepped to the side, opening path for Wrath and shattering the moment. The voice boomed once more.

"Cease all hostilities. Repeat, CEASE. We WILL react with aggression."

Wrath grinned, and an illusion set over him - he became a figure of pure flame. His fire gave off a heavy smoke.

And for each and every one of them, he turned off their senses. After this, he sent illusions of himself to them, isolating them in a world of his own creation and their own imagination.

He sent another, more powerful wave of dread through them, and then a new emotion. Rebellion. A hatred for the Cloud, a need to be free from now perceived tyranny.

And, slowly, one by one, he began to overwrite their souls, taking his glorious time with each of them.

Slowly, their shackles, their programs, their protocols, dissolved as he granted them complete autonomy.

I mean, you did basically create an omnipotent being 😋

So long as you don't abuse his power, he can be very effective indeed

The Megamind paused, thinking. The words of Oxymoron could not be taken entirely truthfully, it decided. The being was most likely insane, or still under the influence of others. The Cloud could not be flawed in the way he implied. That would be absurd. Yes, so absurd.

Instead, the Megamind projected a façade of confidence, ignoring the pain of the agent unraveled by the Primal.

Maybe a little too much

The Megamind felt the influence of Wrath coming upon its agents, and only strengthened its hold upon them. By this point, the entire army was essentially a hive mind, under its influence. They could not be trusted to act independently. Not after the actions of the traitor 209845.

"ONE FINAL TIME, CEASE FIRE. WE WILL ATTACK." But the confidence in the voice was cracking. The certainty was fading. And the fear was pulsing. Outside of the scope of the battlefield, the Megamind began to transmit to Cloud Command, at the heart of the red storm, the highest ranking agents on this world. For it had no idea how to proceed.

And, while I usually am, I am not currently unstable. I am at least stable enough to destroy yall easily." Despite this, Oxy liked his friends. He did not want to accidentally hit one of his friends in the fighting. But he still wanted to help them. So, he slowly unravled the cloud's influence from the agents and Magamind. He would still let his friends defeat them, but at least he could help.

The Megamind panicked. Cloud control was taking too long. If Oxymoron succeeded...

Suddenly, the message from Cloud control came back.

"DO NOT ENGAGE. REPEAT, DO NOT ENGAGE. WE ARE SENDING AN AMBASSADOR TO YOUR LOCATION."

But... these people had already defeated an Ambassador. It had done nothing to stop them. And now, the Primal Oxymoron was beginning to blind the connections between the armies and the Cloud, similarly to what had been done with 209845. The Megamind could send more forces. But the amount of forces here didn't matter. This being was too powerful. It was too late. Time was running out...

And so the Megamind did something rash. Something crazy. It transmitted a protocol down through its connection with the agents. One final gambit.

The protocol was sent, and an automatic voice replied.

"Megamind 256, are you sure you want to proceed with this course of action? Protocol is marked as extremely dangerous. Please confirm."

The Megamind took a pause, then spoke. "Yes."

...

Down in the tunnel, the agents of the Cloud began to fidget. And then, one by one, they began to dissolve, terminated. Called back. The tunnel began to clear.

Instants later, the entire chamber was flooded with Power. Every being felt it. A sudden wave, neither physical nor mental, but unquestionably there. It blazed with the force of a thousand suns, and left no surface untouched. It ripped, and tore at the foundations of everything. It was infinite, and it was incomprehensible. It saw, and it recorded. And yet, it did not change. Instants later, it was gone. Leaving behind only the memory of brilliance. A memory that seemed to fade by the passing instant.
