I just had an idea! What if the Primals slowly gain more and more power the closer they get to the end of the world! That way they wouldnt have that much power. We still have problem 2...

She would have smiled if she could have.

"Hehe."

Either that or just work it out with Hoid. Primals would probably be okay in some way.

The stone shingles were transformed into a collection of rocks, and the wood below it was turned into a log; both fell down into the house (or the forcefield).

That seems like a bit of a stretch. The rest of the rocks that were carved into shingles are just summoned from the ether?

Hm... Maybe he could have pried off the shingles and set the wood back a few times. Wood would just become air or carbon dust, probably.

Either way, it's the same deal. He can make the hole, but he'll encounter the barrier if he tries to go through

Debris fell in through the new hole in the ceiling.

She smiled.

A flash of a memory flashed through her head. She repressed it. That was the past. A past she’d chosen to leave.

Hmm.

Lati sighed.

"When can we go find Jidah . . . ?" she asked Oliver.

It was several minutes before he received a response.

I'm not going back where she can hurt me. I'm staying here and I'm going to find another Sennight to help me get my power back. I brought some from the Rift in bracelets and stuff, but I don't have enough to teleport anyway. I'm sorry. But this is probably goodbye.

Tell Lati.......

The communication went quiet, as if Jidah didn't know what to say. It stayed open for several seconds before she cut it off.

Ver's soul sank. It sank, and it wallowed at the bottom of its pit for a while. Until eventually, he lifted his head back up. This was the group that had defied the Cloud. That had fought the most powerful civilization in the Framework, and won. They were not ending like this.

They had to find Jidah. It would be a detour, yes. It might push billions of lives closer to the edge of the precipice. Technically, they didn't need her for their plans. This planet didn't need her. But Ver did. And he wasn't fighting anyone without her.

Thoughts raced through Ver's mind, and he fought to isolate the most important information.

"Jidah mentioned something about beings known as 'Sennights'. And wherever she went, it is somewhere away from the Cloud's influence. Only gods are capable of such feats... perhaps the Family will know something of her potential whereabouts. It is the best lead we have."

He looked at Oxy.

"Apologies for my brashness earlier. I am still new to matters of the heart, and I allowed my emotions to overwhelm me. Any guidance on your part would be much appreciated."

Sorry everyone for my absence! I've been... busy, and this sorta slipped my mind.

This RP is not dying! Not in a million years! Not in even longer than that!

Haly, a side quest sounds great to me, but I'm worried you won't have someone to RP with. Do you want to introduce someone to help the main crew, or do you want me to make someone for Jidah to RP with wherever she is now?

Dragon, as for the matter of the Primals, I think they should stay the same but with a slight variation. Number one, they need a nerf. Mass amounts of power are alright, but not omnipotence. As a rule of thumb, I try to make sure whatever abilities I give my characters don't override the abilities of the antagonists. So long as the antagonists are always stronger, the balance is maintained. So, wiping away the Cloud is a little off the table. As for the godmodding thing, I think we just need to make it so the Primals aren't necessarily the future versions of our characters. That's a choice for people to make further down the road. Personally, I'm good with 209845 / Ver eventually becoming Oxy, but I have plans for that that take place far down his character arc.
