“I… well, yeah! It doesn’t hurt, I won’t die, I’m important…”

"I guess that makes sense."

Transient ran through the strange red storm, looking for shelter, or more wishfully, people.

There were some caves in the landscape.

Various noises could be heard from deep within, including a few human voices.

It was quite dark. He should probably be careful not to trip on anything.

After he ran for a minute, he discovered there were lights up ahead.

After leaving the storm's influence, Transient slowed his pace as to not fall.

There was a elderly man getting attacked by some sort of glitchy, feline-looking creatures, another man who was trying to help him fight them off, and agent of the could (sorry idk what he looks like T~T @Hoid Slayer) and a woman with dark hair and a glowing sword. She was speaking into a hole in the wall, for some reason.

Just now, Bird Furious said:

"Yeah. Yeah..."

"Well I like that you're mortal."

Transient rehastened his pace and summoned his sword- First only an outline, then getting filled with some form of generic material, then with metal.

"Do you need help?"

"Why?" She whispered.

Jidah dispatched another virus. "Are you mortal?"

 "... I think so."

"Good." She eyed him suspiciously.

"Well . . . well because you're nicer. And I don't think you'd be my friend if you were still mean."

"I......"

She probably wouldn't.

"Oh."

“Me too.”

She bit her lip and stared down at her hands. I really am mortal now.

“How is it not bad?”

"Um . . ."

She thought for a moment.

"I dunno. But I'm sure there's something!"

Jidah slashed at another virus, then thrust out the palm of her hand. A glowing dome surrounded her, repelling the viruses. Finally, she could breathe.

Ignoring the clamor outside, she sat down.

“I don’t know,” she said heavily.

Transient decided that they did, in fact, need help, and cut through a virus.

"Who're you people?" he asked, curiously.

Lati peeked out of the hole.

". . . Are you okay?"

“Dunno,” Jidah said hollowly from inside her glowing dome.

She shrugged. Then she tilted her head, gazing at Lati’s hole.
