Lord Spirit he/him Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 Jonoh decided to stay in town for the night instead returning to his house. He didn’t like the idea of being near voidbringers, but being completely alone was even more dangerous. He wished that some of the other suspects would say more. He couldn’t judge them based on a few words. 1
DrakeMarshall he/him Posted December 12, 2024 Author Posted December 12, 2024 Quote Writeup added. I apologize for the delay. Anyhow, the night has around 4 hours left. As a reminder, everyone is allowed to submit an action! 1
stiltedmoth she/her Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 Pleasantly surprised that her intuition had been correct, Giethri was still unsettled by the recent execution. Whilst Volomir, and likely Sever, seemed to be trustworthy faces, she was still a traveller in an unfamiliar town which seemed awfully amenable to offing its even slightly suspicious denizens. Giethri was still curious as to the identity of the remaining Unmade, and Metorem voting for her right after she had accused Cillian seemed far too obvious... Giethri shook her head. It wouldn't matter once she was out of here, and surely the others would be able to figure it out. She left a note with her thoughts on her table, along with handful of chips to settle her tab from dinner, and walked out into the night. Surely there would be someone making the trip to Herdaz she could catch a ride with? 4

DrakeMarshall he/him Posted December 12, 2024 Author Posted December 12, 2024 (edited) The sun came up and it was a new day. Something in Ru Eris was different. Overnight, rumors sprouted up about people sighting an actual Marabethian Princess in town. This was more than passing odd, because the last one had been caught and outed as a fraud. But there were multiple witnesses this time. Granted, certain details in the reports were still sparse. Nobody really recollected her saying very much. Nobody could really describe her appearance in much detail, except for a drunk outside the Leaky Bucket who swears he glimpsed under her hood and saw something inhuman carved out of oily midnight, but that's drunks for you. For that matter, nobody was quite sure how she arrived in town. When you got down to it, nobody really had all that much to say, beyond attesting that she was certainly a genuine Marabethian Princess. Still, surely these were normal eccentricities for a Marabethian Princess to have. And it wasn't every day that a small town like Ru Eris got visited by royalty, now, was it? Even if Marabethia did have quite a few different royal families. Not only that, but someone had plastered practically every surface in Ru Eris overnight with a mass-produced pamphlet: Quote CONGRATULATIONS L U C K Y W I N N E R !!!! Kasimir he/him Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 "Welcome to Volo's Special Guide to Roshar," Volo said brightly, though really he felt a little shaky inside. Knowing someone had tried to kill you and that someone else had saved your life did that to a person. "I seem to have made some new fans! Last night, someone tried to stab me in my sleep. Fortunately, someone else saved me. According to the Elders, it had to be via Progression, because Cohesion would not result in my knowing I had been saved." 1
Kasimir he/him Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 Volo did have other thoughts about the situation but he had to get a stream done first. He'd also rested poorly as he'd spent the night first trying to use any Surge he might have had on Metorem and then trying not to die. He was still wary of Metorem and thought to voice suspicion of Jonoh for the moment. While Volo thought it unlikely that Nergaoul was in operation (too swingy), he also felt that Nergaoul was easily managed by making note of the earliest voters on each person and only worrying about that Unmade should the Elders determine there were more than two murderers in total. His concerns with his earlier suspicions of Metorem lay with the likely distributions of Surges. For that, Volo needed sleep to be able to think about the results. 1
Ookla de los Cuervos he/him Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 Sever had visited Jonoh in the night. Using infiltration tactics, he found the man talking with a voidspren. He relayed as much to everyone else. 4 hours ago, Ookla the Villager said: "Welcome to Volo's Special Guide to Roshar," Volo said brightly, though really he felt a little shaky inside. Lord Spirit he/him Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 Jonoh approaches his accusers worried. These strangers invaded his town, and now they were saying he had tried to kill Volo. He didn’t like the man, but Jonoh wasn’t desperate enough to resort to violence yet. “I don’t know what you saw, but it wasn’t a failed murder. I did use my power on Volo, but if my memory of the surges are correct, I either saved him, switched places with him or blocked his action (which I believe you would probably know if that happened). I’m inclined to think the first because it seems like someone must have switched with me if you saw a voidspren. Let’s hear the others explain what they did and maybe we’ll be able to figure out who actually did it. Hasty votes often lead to misinformed decisions. I have some suspicions, but I’m not going to vote until I’ve heard some more people’s story.” 1

Araris Valerian he/him Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 Whatever "streaming" was, it certainly seemed to be popular. Arenta had herself paid Volomir's room a visit in the night (just to check that he was sleeping well, of course), but beyond that apparently he'd been attacked and saved and possibly more. Hopefully she could catch some whispers of who else had been tramping around the Bucket at night, since her sign on the door clearly stated that unauthorized visits carried a charge of an entire clearmark. For now she jotted down two new lines in her ledger until the culprits revealed themselves. Breakfast didn't serve itself, but during the busywork Arenta mentally noted her suspicion of Matoro. For a murder conspiracy to unravel so quickly, couldn't it be that one of the killers had found themselves unable to help their companion? 1
TwinStorm He/Him Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 Matoro strolled through the streets, pockets full of money, waiting to talk to somebody. 1
stiltedmoth she/her Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 (edited) Giethri stumbled back into the inn, tripping slightly over the raised step into the building. Sopping wet hair plastered her face. A small cremling had latched itself onto her trouser leg. "Oh good, you're all alive" she muttered, before collapsing into an empty chair. "If any of you see a seedy-looking sailor pass through here, chuck him in the sea for me" she exclaimed, to nobody in particular. "About yay tall, scar under his eye... no?.. Bastard threw me overboard after I caught him trying to nab my spherepouch. After all I paid him too." Giethri shakes off a boot and starts draining the water from it. "I ran into Matoro on my way out, though not much came of it I don't think. Word seems to be that Jonoh tried something funny last night? I suppose he's as good as any to look into next." (oops, didn't mean to send that quite so soon) Edited December 12, 2024 by stiltedmoth 3
Lord Spirit he/him Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 These newcomers were starting to about Jonoh. Matoro continued to say almost nothing, and Gietheri’s story, while interesting, provided little in the way of actual information. It seemed to him that they would benefit if everyone would say what they had done during the night and who they had targeted. 1

If he was a voidbringer, then he would try to fit in, and if he was innocent, he would have no reason to be weird. He didn’t have time to try and deduce the strange man’s intentions. “Hmm… If you spent last night at the inn, you must have met Arenta. She’d never let someone like you be in her establishment for that long without cornering you and demanding money.”
